There's no problem. Go into your settings menu & look for the app within the 'App' section of the menu, it'll be listed there alphabetically.
It didn't show up on your screen/main app tray because you sideloaded the apk.
For future reference, install something like this to have all your sideloaded apps in one easily accessible place from your home screen/leanback launcher.
Use the website to make custom banners for Android TV or the Launcher app, it's superior to Sideload Launcher as it doesn't display every app installed, only those missing the banner on Android TV.
Install Launcher, it only shows the sideloaded apps, not them all & is by far better than sideload launcher.
It's also not deprecated, unlike SL which was last updated in 2015.
Install this app, Launcher, on your Shield.
It'll contain all your sideloaded apps that don't have an app drawer icon in both the app drawer & you can add it to the FAV row, mine is the first spot.
Also, some apps can be added (some cannot at all) to the drawer with TV App Repo & then added to FAVs after IME.
Use Launcher, not Sideload Launcher, it's by far superior & only shows those apps/games (separately) that aren't displayed in your app menu, not all of them like SL.
A much cleaner launcher I prefer is called "Launcher", https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kfaraj.launcher
It doesn't lag like the other app does, and it only seems to display sideloaded apps instead of all apps.
ICYMI: Sideload Launcher went EOL in 2015 & shows all installed apps not just those missing the banner.
Use Launcher instead.
Sideload Launcher displays all installed apps & went EOL in 2015, Launcher only displays those Apps/Games lacking a AndroidTV banner & is still being actively developed.
Sideload launcher is straight from the middle ages, mate. A temporary side project that hasn't been updated in over SIX YEARS.
This one is much better, and still maintained: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kfaraj.launcher
You can use a whole different launcher or you can use that widespread to make a tiny app that makes an Android TV launcher app for any other app.
That new app will show up in Google TV and when selected, will just start the real app.
Apps need to specify an Android TV UI to show up as compatible in the Play Store and in the Google TV launcher.
The middle option is to use a sideload launcher that isn't your home launcher, but just shows sideloaded apps only.

Launcher is better.
It only shows your sideloaded apps & doesn't cram them all into a cluttered box layout, isn't EOL & has been updated since Mar 2015, unlike Sideload Launcher.
Sideload Launcher sucks, not only does it show all apps installed in a cluttered box format (not just sideloaded apps) but it's been EOL & not updated since March 2015.
Use Launcher, it has a better layout, only shows sideloaded apps & is currently developed/updated.
And they wont, you need to utilize Launcher to see only your sideloaded apps, most convenient, unlike sideload launcher which show all apps installed in a cluttered box window & has long since been EOL & not updated since March 2015.
If you need to see your sideloaded apps, Launcher is what you want.
A lot of people seemingly default recommend sideload launcher (which shows all your apps, not just the sideloaded ones in a cluttered box display) because every one else seems to without even knowing it's long since EOL & hasn't been updated for 5+ years.
If you don't want to bother making banners for every sideloaded app or are using an alt launcher, you can use Launcher which only shows your sideloaded apps/games (in their own rows) when opened & it's not EOL unlike sideload launcher with hasn't been updated since March 2015.
> Dolphin MMJ apps do not show up on the main interface at all.
It doesn't come stock with a banner for AndroidTV, but it can be done.
FYI: This is the best launcher for AndroidTV, as it only shows apps missing a banner, not every app installed.
This is better, only shows the apps missing from the drawer, not all on them like SL, which hasn't been updated in 3 years come March.
But Sideload Launcher redundantly shows all your installed apps, not just the ones you need to see/are missing from the default launcher itself, in which Launcher is by far the superior choice for said option.
Sideload launcher sucks, shows every app installed.
Use Launcher, only displays those without leanback support, if you don't already use TV App Repo.
I just use the "downloader" then use the browser---go to apkmirror.com and download the dtv stream apk. Downloader also installs the program. Then you need a sideload app launcher. I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kfaraj.launcher&hl=en_US&gl=US
U can download an app that will keep sideloaded apps so u can easily launch them. I use this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kfaraj.launcher&hl=en\_US&gl=US
Launcher is better, has individual App & Game sections & only displays those apps lacking an AndroidTV banner.
You might like this one, done with Android TV UX https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kfaraj.launcher
Launcher is superior to Sideload Launcher, as it only displays apps without built-in banner icons, not every app installed.
try Launcher, work fine for me on MiBox S
If you like Sideload Launcher, you'll love Launcher & it's not deprecated.
I use this to organize all my side-loaded apps in 1 convenient place.
Not every app is capable of working with either of the 2 versions of TVAppRepo IME, this makes that a non-issue.
Sideload launcher hasn't been updated in 4 years, shows every app installed & is long since EOL.
Use Launcher, it only shows the apps installed that don't display in the drawer in a folder in your drawer/favorites row (if assigned) way less cluttered overall & helps keep interacting fast IME.
