No it wasn't (based on those screenshots). It's a "fork" of the open-source Lightning Browser that is perfectly legitimate. https://github.com/anthonycr/Lightning-Browser / https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=acr.browser.lightning)
Lightning browser, is open source, the pro version is free on fdroid and few $ on the Playstore

you can choose from mobile agent, desktop agent and even create your own fake one.
I need an answer why no other mobile browser does tabs and bookmarks with swipeable side drawers, like Lightning Browser does... Would love to see this in FF

Lightning Web Browser +:

FYI, you can get the Paid version that blocks ads for free on FDroid:
I second this, extremely convenient browser. Easy tab list (just swipe to show tabs), easy ad blocking, reader mode, nice security settings (image blocking, cookie blocking, location access on/off, etc.), link with google chrome history, and much more.
Plus it's very light weight compared to almost every other browser with a decent number of features (significantly fast than chrome too).

EDIT: Close bot. Well if you want to try it that's the free version (Basically everything but the ad-blocking). Here's the Plus version.

Thank you, and yes! But it did cost me $1.90, though there is a free version which just has a few features missing.
I use Lightning Browser+ (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=acr.browser.lightning)
It allows you to block ads (built in ad blocker, works great, paid version only though) and javascript, has a reasonable memory footprint and small application size, and is very responsive. It is the only browser currently installed on my Nexus 5.
Lightning browser +.Light on resource, has adblock and minimal design.

Lightweight, opensourced, adblock web browser.
If you are looking for Flash support:
Lightning Web Browser +
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=acr.browser.lightning&hl=en
Note: It has not been updated for a while and you can get it free on F-Droid:
https://f-droid.org/en/packages/acr.browser.lightning/
I do not need Flash support so I use Brave Browser. I keep trying other browsers but keep coming back to Brave.
Brave Browser is based on Chromium and includes built in Ad Blocking, HTTPS Everywhere, Script Blocking, 3rd party cookie blocking and a whole lot more.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brave.browser
Lightning Browser has it built in and has way better performance (for me at least).
i ditched Firefox lite for this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=acr.browser.lightning
Where did you download Lighting Browser from? If from Google Play Store then you need to buy the Paid version to enable ad blocking:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=acr.browser.lightning&hl=en
If you download Lighting Browser from F-Droid you will get the full version with ad blocking:
https://f-droid.org/packages/acr.browser.lightning/
I personally like Brave Browser:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brave.browser&hl=en
Brave Browser includes Ad Blocking, Https Everywhere, Script Blocking, 3rd party cookie blocking and a whole lot more.
Argh, I misspelled "Lightning+" >.> Here is the proper link for it.
THE PAID VERSION IF LIGHTNING BROWSER WORKS SO WELL

It does cost money, but it is worth it..
Edit: I feel like a marketing/clickbaiter here
Hey, Lightning Browser is pretty awesome.
