you can disable it, if you don't need it.

You have a phone right ? /s

if you have a Logitech peripheral, then install their desktop software, you can link it to your mobile for viewable performance stats ..
here's the google play link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.logitech.gaming.arxcontrolapp&hl=en_US
its also on App Store for the iOS folks.
technically all this will do is flag if its 100% during the game, or just when you alt-tab
Assuming this is the case, there's Logitech gaming software (on the PC side) and it's companion Android app Logitech arx control

If you install the logitech gaming software, you can get the Logitech Arx Control app here. It will allow you to do some basic inventory management. It's been some time since I've played, so things may have changed a bit.
Yeah, the app is available for iOS and Android. Sorry if it sounded like it was exclusive to iOS or anything, it certainly isn't.
The ARX control app is our spiritual successor to those LCD screens... But in-game support is pretty minimal at the moment.
Hey! I worked on a thing like that: ARX control (and the SDK). I'm not sure how well it's supported anymore, but the concept was a lot of fun and I'm sad it didn't take off. There's some demo programs in c++ and think Unity? It's been years.
While second screens are nice, I LOVE Asymmetrical game design and I wish more people experimented with it.
You've got 2 main problems to solve to get a project like this off the ground: Discovery and Latency.
How can you tell the phone and PC each others' IP Address so they can connect to each other? This can be solved by using a host server to orchestrate the 'rooms' and get everyone connected (Jackbox does this, you can use some sort of backend library like SocketIO, Smartfox, etc).
Or, if it's for a personal project, having your game hosted on something like RaspberryPi(dot)local and connecting your phone to that is probably enough to get the ball rolling.
Text based games, or slowly changing views like inventories might be a good candidate for a first try. You won't be able to stream images so your best bet is to send over events and/or data as text (use JSON or unity's serialized objects until you run into latency issues from parsing, trust me setting up something like protoBuffers is not worth it for a one-dev game)
There's various tricks that online games have come up with to have the appearance of always in-sync, but that's a little outside the scope of this post.
An app to replace the old display on the keyboards with your smartphone. Good idea but to many problems. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.logitech.gaming.arxcontrolapp
Here is the app I'm using.
I would not do that I would make 1 full partition.. I use to do something similar too, but nowadays I just do not recommend it.
Windows 10 really likes things on a single drive letter.. ie The Programs / Programs x86 / User folders - things like that.. Also when it comes time to update (bi-yearly) that 50MB partition will get in the way as it will save your old version of windows as it updates to the new one.. And I would NOT want to have to use software re jiggery the Partition when windows runs out of room - this would not be the best for the SSD longevity.
As for Defender? it is fine.. I also have Malwarebytes free to run scans IF I think something might be amiss..
Everyone has their own opinions on Anti-Virus.. If I was to setup a PC for a family member or non tech savy person I tend to use something more robust (since who the hell knows what dark corners of the Internet they will find themselves in.)
You did not say WHAT Windows 10 you have Home / Pro.. I use Pro and I disable a crap ton of stuff..
Some from the Windows options..
Some using Group Policy Editor (mostly related to auto updates)
So you were talking about easy of backup..
THIS is what I do..
I have my 250GB SSD as my OS drive..
I have an 8TB Seagate Archive Drive as my Storage drive..
I use https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree To do an initial OS backup after I get everything setup and updated..
Then I use Reflect to do my Daily backups to the 8TB HD.. They are only differential with the free version, but that is fine.. Then once a month OR before any major updates I do another full backup.. I keep the Full backups for 1 year and the Differential for 60 days.. It will purge the oldest backup if my free space is less than 5GB..
My daily backups take about a minute (6 AM) and the Full backup takes just over 1/2 hour 34 minutes..
I can quickly do a restore using the Recovery USB thumb drive I made.. I have used this recovery 3 times in the last year and it works flawlessly ) restore takes about the same 30 minutes..
As for apps that you can install on your phone to monitor / control you PC - Yea there are several..
I do not use any but here:
Logitech Arx Control: I have used this in the past since I do have a crap ton of Logitech stuff so I already had the PC software installed - I don't use it though..

If you have NZXT CAM software you can install the CAM Mobil App..
My Logitech keyboard has a program like that, but I don't know if it requires the keyboard to work.
