Ugh. I think people should really report that app.
The guys that published Wally haven't updated their app since February, because I'm sure they simply cannot keep track of the huge amount of commits and improvements MySplash's developer does constantly.
These people just took an open-source app, filled it with ads, and then claim its theirs.
Shame on them.
Mysplash offers both of the said features, login option and ux with seamless animations for free.
Can you explain some more features this app have right now? (Preferably that's not in mysplash)
Heya. I've been using Mysplash as my Unsplash client so far. Since they both look very similar, what are the key differences from Resplash to Mysplash?
My request is just two apps. Mysplash and Geometric Weather
Mysplash. Hands down the best Unsplash app with frequent updates, responsive dev, and awesome UI. It also has a neat little feature if you tap an image a couple times that previews the image as a wall on a beautifully generic homescreen.
Mysplash uses Unsplash.com as a source as well and is, in my opinion at least, even better that Resplash, so check that one out too! :)

r/wallpapers is a pretty good place to go. And an app I really like is called mysplash. There are some super high res photos on there, usually by professionals
Hello hello, newcomer! Always nice to see those around here.
Let's cut to the chase, I'll begin with your first question, it'll be a bit hard to tell you, since you don't need much to know "beforehand", but there are a bunch of tips that're nice to know whether it's your first time or 20th time.
Some of those include:
What locked files mean, you've probably seen this term thrown around a bit, "This theme is locked", "can I get an unlocked version?", and so on, basically, locking a file means you can not export the theme, and you can't copy layers/objects of the theme, this doesn't seem like big deal at first, ~~and it's not~~, but this means that if you make changes to the theme, then go to another theme, and then go back to the original one you changed, you'll find that the changes you've made aren't there, as saving changes to a file means having to export it, and locking disabling the ability to export. The reason people lock is because of people who steal themes and claim them as their own, if you were wondering.
There's a button on the top right that looks like a clock with a return circle around it, that button can be pretty helpful, it's sort of a mini export, but temporary, it autosaves your progress every 30 seconds or so, but more importantly, you can do it manually, if you wanted to change something and you're not sure if you'll fuck it up, or want to go back and forth between them, instead of cluttering things up by making 15 exports of the same theme, you can make some of these temporary saves.
Globals, globals globals globals, use em, they're really useful, they make changing your theme later on so much easier, and it also help other people who want to use your theme, but want to change the font for example, if you don't know what I mean, you can make a font global and use that in all your text objects, so if you find a better font for your theme after you're finished, you don't need to go to every text object and change the font manually, you can just change the global and all the text objects will change with it, you can do this with color, images, text and a bunch of other things. And that's not even mentioning using them with formulas, speaking of formulas
formulas might seem scary at first, but if you try to ignore them, you'll end up with a half baked theme, they make things as simple as a clock to things as complex as an rss feed or a background that changes depending on the current weather condition, or picking a random image from your gallery and set it as your wallpaper every a random amount of minutes.
Try to stick to a color scheme, picking random colors is fine if you know what you're doing, but I'd still recommend using websites like the adobe color wheel, which let's you choose a color and a color harmony/group, and it'll show you the colors you should pick, other websites include Color hunt, which has handpicked color palettes, and paletton, that is pretty similar to adobe color wheel, there's also Coolors, it gives you a new color palette every time you hit the space bar, and Mycolor that lets you enter a hex and it'll give you matching colors and gradients. Speaking of gradients, there are a bunch of gradient websites, like webgradients, Grabient and Coolhue.
There are probably more things but I'll add them later if I remember them.
Anyways, let's get to your second question.
Ah yes, tutorials, there are a bunch of those, most notably are:
Brandon craft, aka CraftMath, he is the most famous and, in my opinion, the best kustom teacher, he has a playlist with more than <em>three hundred</em> tutorials! And that playlist single handedly taught me how to make complex and themes, give it a watch even if you know kustom pretty well. He also does tutorials on Tasker and math, never checked the math ones though, there's enough of that in my life as of now.
Jagwar's KLWP tutorials, personally, I've never really used his tutorials, only bandon's, but I've scrolled though and read some of them, they're well made and if you're a beginner, they might be worth checking out, jagwar also makes tutorials for tasker too, might actually check these out once/if I start using it.
Our discord server! It's so very useful, not only for the #help channel, but also for #work_in_progress, where we can give you feedback and help you become better, I would have never became what I am today without the help of the lads there, if you're reading this, thanks guys!
There are more, but those are the only one's you'll need, if you can't find some thing in the fist two, come to #help and you'll probably find an answer there.
Now that we're done with learning klwp, comes the resources you've asked for:
For wallpapers, <strong>Use Unspalsh</strong> it is the absolute best site for wallpapers, and if you want it on your phone, there are a bunch of clients, like Mysplash and Resplash, other sites include Wallhaven and Walldash, but nothing beats unsplash yet, you can also use subreddits to find wallpapers, like /r/EarthPorn and /r/CityPorn and many many like it.
For icons, you can always use the good ol' playstore, but you can also use websites to find other icons, mostly used in things other than app shortcuts, like making a custom status bar, or buttons and whatnot. Three main ones are flaticon, Craftloop and Martial design icons.
And for fonts, you can use Font squirrel and Google fonts
~~I'd write more but my fingers need a little break.~~
If you're confused about anything, feel free to ask!
There's another app that (at least for me) looks better and is free.
I wrote a bunch of comments helping other users with kustom, so I'll paste them here, but be ready, this is gonna be a long comment.

"Don't worry, everyone starts somewhere, I was confused and overwhelmed like you once, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly, you'll do too, and once you do, it'll be much easier.
Kustom is a company/dev that makes customization apps, so far, they have three, KLWP, KWGT, and KLCK.
The first one, KLWP, is the best and most popular, it is basically an interactive live wallpaper maker, keyword: interactive, that means you can make working app shortcuts, make animations, then you can start and stop them whenever and however you want, using touch actions, or even timers, I could go on about what you could do.
KWGT is similar to KLWP in many ways, but instead of a wallpaper, it's a widget, if you know how to use klwp, you know how to use kwgt. and vice versa, except animations, because KWGT does not support animations.
KLCK is like KLWP, but it's a lockscreen, and it's uh, not so liked by the community, and for good reason if I say so myself, it's not that the app itself is bad, it's more the limitations of android, using klck means you need to have two lock screens if you want any kind of security, because while you can make locks and passwords in klck, you can just hold the bottom left of the screen and it'll unlock, that might seem dumb at the surface, but it's to prevent you form locking yourself out of your phone, if you make a nonfunctional lock that doesn't allow you to enter anything, for example.
As the other commenter said, Brandon Craft's channel is a gold mine for kustom tutorials, as well as tasker and it's plug-ins, this playlist has about 300 tutorials for choose from, although you can search "klwp for beginners" to get a much much smaller playlist containing his most simple tutorials explaining the basics, so I suggest you start with that.
As your the "code" part you mentioned, Kustom apps do have a thing called "formulas" which are (mostly) little easy to digest. understandable codes, in the apps, they include a ton of example formulas, you could go your whole theming life only using the examples and you'll be fine, don't worry, everything is separated by categories and labeled with it's function.
The only difference between the normal and pro versions are: No ads, and the ability to import presets, this can be useful even if you make themes yourself, because people usually make more than one theme, and sometimes you want to go back to your old ones, you'll need pro for that.
Hope that helped! Feel free to ask me any questions."

Hey everyone. Brand new setup coming right at ya. If you feel like you've seen something similar from me already, you're not wrong. This setup definitely resembles my previous Kava theme, but being fully transparent, it's all based on the personal profile screen in Mysplash, my favorite Unsplash client.

A whole lot of images from Unsplash, I'll do my best to link all of them:
