I had been installing, uninstalling, finding bugs and criticizing this app since last year. And now it's feels good to see to be stable and reliable enough for daily use.

I've been using Zoho Notebook for years. It has a data synchronization (not sure what it's called lol) feature. You can access your account on different devices (Android, iOS, and Web). I'm not sure what kind of tagging feature you need, but you can add tags on Zoho Notebook. Images and clickable/link texts can also be added on notes. It's feature-rich, imo. Just search for blogs or videos about it so you'd know more about its other features.
The app used to be entirely free for the past years, but it now has a Pro version (which is understandable, imo). Its free version might probably be enough for most average users though. I'm thinking about subscribing to the Pro version soon, but I don't think I need the Pro features at the moment.
Regarding a good journal app, as a fellow Android user the two apps I swear by are Zoho Notebook and Writeaday.
Notebook lets you create notes via text, image, link, checklist, audio recording, and in-app virtual drawings. These notes can be organized into separate notebooks as well as collections of notes within each notebook. It's very customizable and the app is 100% free.
Writeaday is much simpler, with text-only entries (plus emoji), but good for people who like visual feedback and prefer lots of short diary entries over longer, more in-depth ones. The app uses a color gradient to "reward" you for making more entries. I find it feels a lot like having a private Twitter with prettier colors. It is a freemium app made by just one guy, but besides a PIN lock option and custom reminders to make entries the only thing behind a paywalls is style options; staying a free user doesn't at all detract from the experience of using the app.
I hope you find something that works for you guys!
Zoho Notebook has a very similar design to Keep and has apps for mobile, desktop, and web. It is as lightweight as Keep.
As someone else suggested, Standard Notes is another great option, but it lacks quite a few features on the free version.
I am using this. I could import Evernote directly -service to service
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook
One note is very good, but it is very "online dependant" and hence slow launching.
I use Notebook by the Zoho Corporation: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook
You can create text cards that will give you the time that it was created. If you go to the menu and click on info, it will give you the date and time it was created and modified.
It's not exactly what you're looking for since you have to do a few steps to get to the date and time of your note, but it is there.
Zoho Notebook has a grid view option and a lock feature. I'm not sure if it's fast enough for you though, but the speed is fine for me. They recently put a subscription option for some features, but if you're just an average user like me maybe you don't need it. The app is ad-free.
Not necessarily a BDSM app, but you can be logged into on multiple devices and it updates within a few minutes of revision. I believe it's on Android, Apple, and Windows but I'm not 100%.
You can have different notebooks for different things and have cute/sexy covers for each notebook.
Also you can add a specific notebook to say your feelings about each punishment, reward, and session for your partner to read. Write down what you liked, and what you didn't like, and maybe go back to it later.
Example:
Punishment: Spanking (paddle) 09/01/22
I liked the sound it made on impact, however I feel like it wasn't that intense. I would prefer a more intense/harder approach with this punishment.
09/07/22: this time was perfect. I feel like it wasn't too hard, or too soft. I appreciate that my partner took the time to read, and adjust.
I personally like to keep a journal of things, but it's not everyone's cup of tea.
A paid/premium subscription has been added for some of Zoho Notebook's features recently, but the free version is already enough, imo. I've been using it for about three years now like a diary and a notebook for uni. I've tried other apps, but I always find myself going back to this so I guess this is the best one for me.
I use Zoho Notebook. It's free, ad-free, and feature-rich (imo).
It's possible to insert tables. It's also possible to customize the font style and size, but I think the settings for font style and size will be unified for all notes.
Try Zoho Notebook.
Most of the features of Evernote, but not locked behind a pay wall. There's even a web clipper for browsers.
I'm highly satisfied with Zoho's Notebook app. I've been using it for years now. It's absolutely free, feature-rich, ad-free, and user-friendly. It doesn't let you create subfolders though. Inside a "notebook", you can create notes/note cards. It also lets you customize the look of each notebook. As for the notes, there are many tools and features you can use. You just have to explore the app. I've tried installing other apps, but there seems to be nothing as straightforward as Zoho's Notebook app (well, at least for me). Everything looks organized. It's the kind of app I wouldn't mind paying one time for if it had a paid version. Of course, I'm glad it's free though.
If you really want something in which you can create subfolders within subfolders, you might want to try this one. It's a great app if you're into templates, mind maps, and such. It has a web version (for Windows) and I think it's also available on Apple's App Store. Some features might be paid soon though. As of now, it's in its beta phase/version so most of the features would still likely be free. If you check the website or app, I think you can get access to the Pro version for 365 days. I really liked the app when I first saw it. I'm actually planning on using that app as well soon once I start reviewing. I think it's a really great app for students.
I'm not entirely sure about privacy, but on my Android device I use Zoho Notebook and Simpan. Both can be used offline. As for the Notebook app, I think it can be used without an account. Personally, it's more ideal to have an account though because sometimes I use it on my laptop. I used it on my iPhone back then as well.
Simpan doesn't require an account. I really like the simplicity of the app. I can save notes, links, to-do lists, plans, and account infos. I got it for free last time. It says it's a paid app, but it often goes free on Play Store. You can try adding it onto your PS wishlist in case you'd love to check the app out some time once it's listed as a free app again. I hope you find an app that suits your needs. Good luck!

I use notebook, has visual notebooks that you can customize the covers on. In each notebook you create type of note, that show as square tiles. You choose the type of note, list, recording, picture, text, and has cross syncing. I save lots of stuff so I got the computer app to access it too.
I've tried a BUNCH, and the only cross-platform solution that works for me and what I need (easy/lots of formatting options; allows for images, files, audio notes, handwritten notes/sketches, etc.) is Zoho Notebook: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook
I wish OneNote didn't feel so janky to use- all text is technically put into floating text boxes, so you end up having to scroll left and right, which just feels weird to me. Otherwise that would have my vote!
And some people really like Joplin, but the Markdown-only formatting on mobile isn't good from an ease-of-use case for me (and you can't see the formatting while editing)
The only thing keeping me from using Samsung Notes is that I want to be able to edit my notes on PC, Mac, iPad, etc.
Notebook.
Perfect Google keep alternative:
It has UI like a pin board, exactly like google keep and not something like OneNote UI. Seriously, the pin board UI is better for overview of collection of todos while the note UI is better for categorizing different objects. I don't understand why people just keep suggesting app having a note UI to replace for google keep
It doesn't use markdown. You have full text editor that just so easy to use. Just highlight the text and tap the button. I just don't like Joplin, Simplenote or any open source note taking because they are so obsessed with markdown. It's so tedious to use. Moreover, Notebook has way more text editor functions than any of those apps. Making lists, drawing, record, tables, colorful note, insert link, insert date, reminder etc. Yes, even much more fuctions than google keep itself.

A lot depends upon what you need a note app to do for you. I use Keep a lot for short/quick/temporary notes. It syncs really fast! Other Android note apps you might want to check out include Evernote, Nimbus Note, and Zoho Notebook, although they do not offer quite everything OneNote does. Zoho Notebook app has some similarities to OneNote: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook.
OneNote is my main note tool. If you use a lot of the features that OneNote offers, there really is no other note application that's a direct replacement. Although Keep is nice, it's not in the same league as OneNote when it comes to overall functionality, options, and flexibility. Especially if you use the Onetastic extension for Windows. I need both Keep and OneNote, but for different reasons.
I finally accepted that MS Office Android apps are not going to perform on my Chromebook or my phone the same as they do on my Windows laptop. Consequently, I prefer to use my Windows 10 laptop to interface with the full-blown MS Office applications. I simply do not want to give up that functionality. (Hey, I'm too old and set in my ways!) I basically only use the ON Android app on my Chromebook or phone to open OneNote in more of a "read only" mode, if I need to view a note.
Good luck on your search. Hopefully, you'll find something that meets your specific needs. Cheers!
Edit: added Play Store link
it's not specifically a journal app, but can definitely work. Zoho Notebook lets you change each book's cover, and add your 'pages' for entries inside. you could create one notebook per year, or month, as you choose. also, you can password-protect your entries, add images, and access them on the web. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook)
This https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook is from the play store.i have had it for while now.i have save important info and my tvzion code.what I like about it I can sync on my tablet as well as my phone.i suggest you do what's best for you.
Notebook is my favorite note taking app. Includes lots of features which include app lock and auto backup. And it's completely adfree and no in app purchases.
Zoho Notebook, you can lock individual notes, with password, pin and fingerprint.
Nimbus Notes also has individual note encryption but not fingerprint unlock.
Found a somewhat better version of Google Keep in Zoho Notes. Still experimenting with it and apart from the need to separate notes through notebooks rather than labels, reminders not being added to google calendar anymore, and the reminder snooze options not being configurable like in Keep, it feels like a much more feature packed Keep.

Also found MS News to be a much better news reader app than Google News, so there's also that recommendation.

Yeah. It's a very useful app. I also like this one. But omni Notes is an open-source app.
> Cloud storage is currently on the backlog. Hope it.comes out soon!
I am also waiting for this feature. It will make it a perfect app.
Keep an eye on Zoho Notebook. They will be adding web browser support. (Or they are already doing beta testing ). This has some good functions.
Zoho notes is normally recommended highly in these threads
I've been using Notebook and find it satisfying, after filling Google Keep with too many notes and finding it cluttered.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook
I use this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook for writing stuff on my phone, it even saves on a cloud so you can have your stuff on all your devices.
Check out Notebook by Zoho
I use Notebook because I had the same problem. It's a very natural way to organize. I do wish it had better widgets, though.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook
Here you are: Notebook (Zoho corporation)
This app will allow you to lock a particular notebook and not the whole app.
You can create notebooks and inside it you can create differnet pages for each note. Also you can group them. A notebook can hold infinite amount of pages. Here are some screenshots:
you could try Zoho Notebook (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook).
If you like Keep, look at Zoho Notebook. It has a very similar design, but with a few added features.
Zoho Notebook suits my needs. Its free version is enough for average users (like me), imo.
I mainly use Notebook on my phone. It shows past/recent versions of my notes.
I've been using Zoho Notebook
Syncing can be a little buggy otherwise it's a pretty decent app/journal.
I use Zoho Notebook.
I've been using Notebook as my diary since 2019. I love the fact that it's free. Moreover, it's feature-rich and user-friendly.
I've been enjoying this one. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook syncs across devices as well as locking/photo insertion.
NOTEBOOK Works like a champ
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook&hl=en
Thanks. I got the app that suites the requirement. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook

Try this one
Zoho Notebook (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook)
Standard Notes (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.standardnotes)
The NOTEBOOK you mentioned is this one?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook
Zoho's Notebook
Google Keep is my goto app for personal notes.
However I don't wish to clutter it with long web clips but rather link to them with URLs in Google Keep pointing to notes in Evernote.
I am looking potentially @ replacing Evernote with Zoho Notebook(has web clippers as chrome extension and within Android):
they recently implemented labels/tags
they have an Evernote import tool
Zoho works very good, give it a try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook
Notebook from zoho would do the trick.
I don't see the playstore bot so I will link the app manually:
Have you tried https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zoho.notebook ?
Currently trying to find a note taking app that works for me. Omninotes jumps directly to title input, which is annoying.
Good shit:
Noty (minimalist app for rapid note taking, lacks search (coming in later versions?) /export/bullet points)
Notes+/Notepad+ (minimalist app, lacks export/bullet points)
Fast Notepad (lacks bullet points)
Shitlist:
Fii Note (interesting concept; doesn't save shared URL when offline)
OneNote (cloud integration is shoved down your throat)
Gnotes (needs subscription to unlock dark theme)
Just Note (same problem as Omninotes)
Omninotes Alpha (same problem as Omninotes)
Ike (blatant cash grab)
Smarty Notes (useless w/o account)
ClevNote (ad-ridden)
NeutriNote (same problem as Omninotes, dedicated text editor?)
Note Everything (fugly)
Note Terminal Notepad (fugly, same problem as Omninotes)
