The Pathfinder Card Game on Mobile could be called a Deckbuilder-Roguelite game (but definitely not a Roguelike game).
it just came out so i wouldn't expect a discount for some time, however, if you have an android device or emulator you can play that for free: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.obsidian.pacg1&hl=en
or at least test it out to see if it is worth the price.
I liked Pathfinder Adventures. Although most of it is behind a paywall, It's a good game and doesn't require you to be online to play.
Pathfinder Adventures, if you dig the thought of playing through a "D&D" (Pathfinder, actually) scenario in a PvE card game.

Je li to ovaj Pathfinder? Jer sam si ga htio kupiti za malo solo igranja, činila mi se kul igra, onda sam našao besplatnu app pa reko super da probam i odbila me. Dobio sam dojam da na app kompjuter puno tog sam računa i obavlja a da bih na tabletop verziji trošio previše vremena na administriranje a premalo na igru. Možeš li mi malo više reći o igri?
Aside question: would the mobile card game help in any way with general proficiencies / mechanics of the desktop game (strictly in a learning sense)

Well, Pathfinder Adventures is basically a (lite) Pathfinder/DnD game in card form.

My dad has $50 of Google Play credits he wants to give me. Can anyone suggest some "buy once" games that he can buy in his account and somehow transfer to mine? (so, e.g., a game with a free "demo" version that you can buy a premium unlock to, and it gives you a key – which I can then enter on my phone instead of on his) In terms of genre, I'm pretty eclectic. The only genres I really don't like are shooters and horror. Today I happen to be playing Pathfinder Adventures, but like I said, I'm open to anything from strategy to RPG to uniquely creative casual.

Previously only officially supported tablets.
Just saw it pop up on Google Play
I just reread your opening post and noted ''baggage limit'', so just a word to the wise Gloomhaven (if you can get it) weighs 20lbs. Also, I've just packaged up PACG:WofR base set and 4 decks and it comes in around 8lbs (including shipping material and packaging box).
PACG: Rise of the Runelords is also available for Android from Google Play store. It's free with the initial 3 scenario intro and just playing through that earned enough in game gold to immediately purchase the Burnt Offerings adventure (80% discount at that time). But I just checked now and Adventure 1 is 90% discounted and Adventure 2 is 85% discounted. Overall it would be pretty painless to play each of those a few times and fairly quickly be able to buy the whole game just from in game gold. Quite different than other pay-to-play/pay-to-win offerings. I was surprised. Try the app if you can, it will give you a really good idea of what the game plays like.
Let me say that I play solo, so that's all I can speak to. I had initially discounted PACG after watching a few playthroughs (I already had Mage Knight) because it seemed a little...lack-luster...I'm not familiar with Pathfinder in general and the game just seemed a bit dry. But then I found the app and discovered to my surprise, while it is certainly not earth shaking or revolutionary, it was really quite fun to play. I enjoyed myself and for a while kept coming back. When I discovered that there was a pirate themed PACG: Skull & Shackles, which is much more interesting theme-wise I successfully hunted a copy in a math trade.
I found it quite enjoyable to spend a relaxing hour or two playing most weekends through the intro, first and second adventure. I played two characters very comfortable and enjoyed the deck constructing in between. Three characters, oddly, made the scenarios seem a little two easy. With just two, I occasionally lost a scenario on the first try and about half the time came down to a nail-biting finish...just barely clobbering the villain on the very last blessing card. But to be clear, there isn't a lot of tension or tough, brain burning decisions every step of the way...it's mostly a relaxing, good time on the high seas...flip a card, see if you can come up with a way to defeat it (usually you can), or see what boon you can try to acquire.
As fun as it is, I've not yet purchased Adventure 3. I would like to finish it someday, and it would be fun to go through with a group as well, but for now there are other games I'm more interested in spending my money on.
I looked at Mistfall via Rahdo's runthrough just before the release...initially it interested me, but there were a couple of flags...the art on all the cards (at that time) was pretty much the exact same on each card, even if it was an upgrade...a small thing, but we don't have a big budget for games and Mistfall wasn't cheap. Also, the combat seemed to have a common element with Warhammer Adventure Quest Card Game in that enemies are either engaged or far away. The way the map was sort of random appealed, but only having 9 tiles made it feel...small. Ultimately, I felt like it was yet another unknown to me, and even undeveloped (relative to say Pathfinder/Warhammer) world that I didn't have a lot of motivation to buy into and the game might do some interesting things, but it seemed likely other games do more and do it better.
Months later I found out about Gloomhaven, again through a Rahdo video and after a few more hours of researched it went and directly pre-ordered it (via a retailer and with the shipping issues, I'm just hopeful to receive a copy and will consider myself lucky esp. if it's in one piece). I am really enamored with the two cards, top and bottom action, various monsters, and long campaign aspects.
I fully expect Gloomhaven to be more intense each session and much more involved overall. But I'll be happy to own both PACG:S&S and Gloomhaven and would be excited to play either with a group.
My ultimate advice is, if you cannot play the test play the game, watch at least one playthrough (not review) of each game and envision yourselves playing and try to decide whether it seems fun to do all the little actions, including bookkeeping/upkeep. That's what (correctly) sold me on Mage Knight and Scythe (when reading reviews and other's opinions has initially held me off).
Here you go. It is called "1001 Ways to Beat Judgment." Popular options include:
Be a Wizard, Alchemist, or anyone else who can take immortality as a class feature.
Be a Druid and constantly reincarnate. Possibly after suicide, if you end up as something horrible like a Kobold, Goblin, or Dutchman.
Max out your bluff check, and when you die swear you are actually a Shabti.
Always keep enough experience to level up (which, apparently, is a thing you can do) so when you die you can become a Reanimated Medium. Then immediately retrain that shit, nobody deserves to go through life as a Medium.
Take the GM's cat hostage.
And many more! Don't let Pharasma be the boss of you, just because of she happens to "know everyone's destiny," be an impartial arbiter even when it personally affects her, or because she has totally the best Blessing in the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game (available as an App, now relatively unbuggy and with a very kind F2P model).
It's on Android as well.

Trying out Pathfinder Adventures right now. Its not like SWGoH, but it's a fun cross between magic the gathering and Pathfinder.

Pathfinder Adventures is the digital version of the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game (ACG). Pathfinder Adventures is not really a ccg, but more like a lcg/deckbuilder hybrid. The digital version does include some ccg elements such as a free to play model with the ability to grind gold to purchase things and random packs (chests) for additional cards.
Two characters and a few adventures are included for free. Adventures and characters can be purchased separately for in game currency or money, or all current and immediate future content can be purchased in a bundle/season pass for $24.99 (Some bonus and promo cards remain locked and can be acquired from chests).
Pathfinder Adventures is currently available for Android and iOS with a Steam version coming soon. The Android version can also be player on PC using an Android virtual machine such as Andy or Bluestacks.
I am playing the android version on an aging Windows 7 PC using Andy - an android virtual machine.
The game plays fine this way. Andy does put up an ad and/or drops an icon for a "suggested game" on your virtual android desktop after closing the game, but the ad can easily be closed, and the icon deleted. The game may run on other android emus/virtual machines as well.
