I did a lot of digging in ILSpy: https://github.com/icsharpcode/ILSpy
The game code is almost all in Assembly-CSharp.dll. That makes it easy to see what the blueprints correspond to. (the blueprint files are basically serialized game objects)
Two fighters with reach weapon + cleave + combat reflex. One cleric with good domain (for crafting), one wizard. For the 5th I usually take a bard. You don’t need a rogue. Have at least one fighter CG for best sword in the game.
As was hinted in some ending slides, a younger Regill Derenge encounters actual legions of Hell and grows disillusioned at the lack of discipline in their ranks. He has the realization that it is impossible to expect to instill full discipline and self-mastery in others when one has not first achieved total perfection of the self and leaves the Hellknights to become a monk following Irori's path. He then becomes the first and greatest master of the soon-to-be infamous Kung Fu Gnomes.
She's not my cup of tea, but people have written entire books on this: https://www.amazon.com/Why-Men-Love-Bitches-Dreamgirl-ebook/dp/B001CN48VQ#:~:text=Sherry%20Argov's%20Why%20Men%20Love,woman%22%20who%20routinely%20sacrifices%20herself.

Oh yeah, that book. I would suggest getting a pdf, since it apparently became a collectors item.
Man, Voralesh looks way different in the books.
What class or general focus? Armored warrior, agile warrior, caster, etc.?
The "Heroes of the Stolen Lands" mod (which is just a bunch of properly organized images to drop in the custom images folder) contains several decent tieflings. The male tieflings lean towards mystics, rogues, and evil looking warriors. If you'd looking for a tiefling paladin or druid, not a lot of good options there. The female tiefling options there cover just about anything but heavy armor users.
Check out pages 9-10/22 in the image gallery there (images from the 1.7 update) to see a good slice of the tiefling images in the pack.
Note that the portrait pack is mostly being updated for WotR, which is the version I linked above, but it's the exact same format and can be dropped into Kingmaker with no issues.
After what you've tried I'm pretty much out of ideas.
Try running a temperature monitoring program like Core Temp in case something is overheating.
https://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/
If it's overheating you could try cleaning the dust out and/or redoing the thermal paste on the offending part.
I was having crash issues ages back, eventually downloaded a temp monitoring program and found out my graphics card was overheating. Pulled the heatsink off and the thermal paste had turned to chalk. Re-pasted it and no more crashes.
Worth a shot.
You having issues with the game doesn't make it objectively bad. It means it's bad "in your opinion". If you can't tell by the series of glowing remarks here, it's loved by many.
To address your points:
Player agency is notoriously not in the hands of the DM or module. Players can find agency with a rock, or take keen interest in the Norse inspired barbarian lady you made. Because your attempts to sound like a Norse woman come out valley girl. Point is, if you don't find any agency trying to earn your freedom on a ship of pirates... you might be boring. At least you're not a fan of Jules Verne.
PCs don't have to drink the grog. Seriously. Either by making a slight of hand to dispose of a small portion of fluid in an ocean setting, or by enlisting the help of other PCs or NPCs. Or they can just drink the grog. I went either way on it myself since I was rarely flogged.
You are playing a pirate campaign on a ship. Be prepared to make pirate campaign rolls. As I already said in another response, I played a barbarian in this AP and was more than fine on skill checks. In fact, I had more SP than I needed.
Firstly, the job rolls resolve quickly and tell the story of the day. Secondly, if anyone decides to shirk and do their own thing it is resolved quickly, unless they want to get caught.
You didn't lose PCs because of "bad" mechanics. You lost two PCs to misfortune or lack of wits. My entire group got through the time you mentioned without a single optimized build and even with one of them being shockingly inept at skill checks. I'm not even going to go into the "idiot check" traps. Sounds like they did their job.
Really, you could have just replied with you didn't like it and why. You made a mistake of trying to say it was "objectively" bad. You can find things to complain about with pretty much every module, if that's what you consider fun.
Correct. You cannot move and take a full round action. A full round action is exactly what it sounds like.
https://roll20.net/compendium/pathfinder/Actions%20In%20Combat#content
Here's an idea of what actions would constitute standard, move, full round, swift, and immediate actions.
Sorry I forgot to mention, it was in a screenshot I had but I did the post wrong.
I can't take Arcane Trickster when Wizard is already level 3 and can cast level 2 spells. In the end I had to take a 4th level in either Wizard or his original class to be able to choose Arcane Trickster.
In the prerequisites, the only red requirement was for the ability to cast lvl 2 arcane spells even though Wizard lvl 3 has that. Here's a link to said screenshot: https://snipboard.io/KzC14h.jpg
In the long run, it doesn't change much since I'll eventually take that Wizard level anyway, but in the process of leveling, it does make me get to the last level of Arcane Trickster one whole level later.
That's odd. You shouldn't get these issues. I suggest you write a bug report with the ingame tool. I think the game sends an important log that includes errors the game might produce.
If you want, you could try finding a way to open the game debug menu if it has one. Maybe via unity mod manager (nexusmods.com) It might be able to show you some errors the game is producing around combat.
Maybe turnbased mode and RTWP is causing issues. I think everyone experiences some lag, but not such a huge pause. I might try changing the default option there. Maybe calculating your current combat mode in the beginning and and of the combat causes issues.
My default is turn based combat and I don't get the pause.
> Epic pushes payment provider costs to the consumer
Out of 43 payment methods, that Epic supports, only 13 wants transaction costs, and usually there is free alternative in that country. Then there is also PayPal. Source
Usually game under wine use more ressource if your problem is due to a lack of them it could not solve your problem.
That said on POL I usually use the last staging wine version and you should check if the game need a 64bit version or not.
But it's a while since I've been using POL, now I'm using lutris which is more efficient when not doing a custom install : https://lutris.net/games/pathfinder-kingmaker/
I highly recommand it.
How could i play skyrim though? Is that more graphic intensive?
Ah thanks yeah. Isn’t this laptop better though? Short version: the DLCs are nice but not necessary. But if you're gonna buy them, buy them before you start playing because all of them feed into the main campaign.
Longer version: The first DLC adds the Tiefling race, the Kineticist class, and a Tiefling Kineticist companion who joins your party in Act 2. The second DLC adds a standalone "mini-module" about Varnhold and Maegar Varn which loosely ties into the main campaign. The third DLC adds a kind of roguelike / endless dungeon standalone mode as well as an optional side-dungeon during the main campaign. IIRC all three of them add new loot to the main campaign too.
So if you want the full experience during the main campaign, you should get the complete edition. [Currently on sale <$33.] But if you're fine with the "abridged" version of PKM or on a tight budget, just stick with the base game, you'll still get 100+ hours out of it and it's only $13.
Not exactly. November is the 10th Anniversary of Skyrim (11/11 specifically) and so on that day, they're releasing all the Creation Club content as a paid DLC for the Special Edition. So I guess technically new editions for the consoles since they'll get access to the CC stuff.
I did it again.
It seems like the game just really hates my rogue throwing them.
5+ throws over 3 encounters, my rogue's only gotten 1 from the 1d6s.
Put some on the bard, all 6s.

Is pretty good to get that useful "painted" look and add a bit more detail to lower resolution images. Then you can scale it back down later.
Upscale: 2x
Style: Artwork
Noise Reduction: Highest
Oh I already did this, it's not that complicated :
In game, when you have to choose a portrait, there's a little arrow ( which is more like a bust now I see it again ) on the bottom of the selection. You can click it, and from there you have a button to open the folder where you have to put your custom image.
To generate your images with the good sizes, you can download softwares like GIMP, but if you want to make things easy you can just go on an online image editor, like Photopea.
Once you are on the home page, just click on 'New Project' just below the big PHOTOPEA text ( or you can click "File -> New" on the top left corner" ). On the left of that new window, you can put in the size you need for the game.
In Height and Width, enter 692 and 1024 for fulllength portrait
330 and 442 for medium
185 and 242 for small
Don't care about the DPI. Just hit create.
Now you have a blank page of the correct size you need. Just drag and drop an image from your desktop or folder onto the blank page. With the anchors at each corner of the image, you can resize it to fit the frame. Drag the corners to edit the size, and press MAJ on your keyboard while dragging if you want to keep the ratio of your image.
Once you are happy with your framing, just go on the top left corner, click 'File > Export as > PNG', keep the default settings and here you go.
Now you have your three generated images, drag them into the folder the game opened for you. Match the name of your new images ( Fulllength , Medium , Small ), you can rename or delete the old ones. Just rename them if you want to keep the needed sizes.
When they are in the game folder with the good names, just go back into the game, hit "Refresh portrait", and here is it!
If it's not very clear and you have any question just ask me I'll be glad to help.
Use 7-zip to open the .zks file. Single click the entry in the archive that you want, and PF4 to edit it. Save, and you are asked if you want to update the archive, so say yes.
Done..
The only thing that I know about is where the current Money is.
Ok here is an example of a simple "observe and learn" while you use fighter.
Its not a min/max monster... but its more than "ok".
Its not gimpped, has alots of room to remove add to suit taste

I got a brand new laptop like a week ago, and I'm barely getting 50 fps in most places. It drops to about 30 in combat most of the time. Prior to disabling shadows I was only averaging about 25-30. Feels like my old laptop actually ran the game better.
Now i'm curious how big a 100,000,000 die would be.
This one https://www.amazon.com/Bescon-Polyhedral-Sides-Sided-100-Sided/dp/B06Y2BJR2L is apparently 45mm from one side to the other (face to face).
So on average the sides/faces are 1% of (22,5^2)*pi*4 ≈ 63 square milimeters or about 8 mm on a side.
So multiplying by 100,000,000 and then going in reverse: 495,000 milimeters in diamater.
Or 495 meters.
here you are (not my link, just googled)

look for cheaper, but sku is there
Aside question: would the mobile card game help in any way with general proficiencies / mechanics of the desktop game (strictly in a learning sense)
