Pomodoro Timer (I use the free version). Don't necessarily need an app for this, but I've found that the auditory stimuli of a ticking sound + the clear buzz when it's time to take a break has made me MUCH more productive w/r/t case reading
If you use Android, the app that I use is Pomodoro Timer Lite.
You write down in it what your task is and it tracks how many pomodoros you've spent on that one task, which is excellent for averaging out roughly how much time you need to do a certain task. It also automatically schedules your short and long breaks, taking out that work for you. It's been pretty great for me :)
