This is the last archive.org page snapshot. Glad to see that the game exceeded 100 000 purchases, I remember the installs being at 50 000 - 100 000 years after the release.
Not sure if it qualifies as hidden per se, but Ridiculous Fishing is one of the best mobile games I've ever played.

- Ridiculous Fishing, an awesome fish shoot-em-up thing by Vlambeer
- Thomas Was Alone, a nice puzzle platformer with shapes as characters
- Desert Golfing, one of the most fun golf games on Android of which there are many
- Flappy Golf, one of those fun golf games. It combines Flappy Bird and golf. Yes, really. It's amazing.
- Crossy Road, Frogger on steroids. Also you play a chicken who crosses the road.
- Reigns, Tinder in medieval times, involves you dying a lot. (which sounds like Tinder irl really)
- Downwell, really nice platformer thing. Great aesthetic
I hope this is a good mix of em. It's tough to separate from all the match-3 and Clash of Clans shite, but yeah!

It's not a real fishing game but Ridiculous fishing is really fun

<strong>Pixel Dungeon</strong> is a nice traditional roguelike (permadeath, procedurally generated dungeon crawler), if you like that kind of game! Has a bit of a learning curve, but it's completely (no microtransactions at all!) free, open source, and has some neat pixel art.
If you don't mind games where you pay once and that's it (most of these go for $5 USD or less, I think), here are a few more recommendations:
- <strong>Monument Valley</strong>: Beautiful puzzle game, you navigate a girl around 3D structures with optical illusions, find secrets by interacting with said structures.
- <strong>Reigns</strong>: a mix between management and a 'choose your own adventure' -- you're the king in the medieval times, and must make 'yes/no' decisions to keep your nation afloat and yourself alive. Weird events happen throughout the game (black magic, alchemists, the devil, labryinthian dungeons, you name it!), and there's an overarching story that develops as you continue to rule heir after heir.
- <strong>Ridiculous Fishing</strong>: it's a 'fishing' game...if your definition of fishing is hurling a boatload of fishes into the air and blasting them with guns. Hilarious game, awesome aesthetics!
- <strong>Downwell</strong>: Very fast-paced, technical platformer where you descend through a never-ending shaft, use your 'gunboots' to shoot or jump on enemies. Difficult game, but it has a great soundtrack and quality retro pixel art!
