I really enjoyed Royal Revolt 2 for a while. Its more of a tower defense road building than base building but its all semantics.
Found it! Its called Royal Revolt 2
Hey I want to recreate Galactica Anno Dominari, I started protoyping in Livecode on this awhile back and then some stuff came up, here's my git of that
We can move to Unity on this, the actual game will have some twist away from the original space epic, the idea was to be able to see the battles in 3D if one desires. So basically instead of the generic star system I was thinking procedural created neighborhoods, with citizens, villains, and law enforcement/super heroes. The action could be simulated quickly with numbers you win/lose and/or replayed in 3D so you can watch the action.
I'd Love to have Champions Online qualitymodels, but am also considering cute free voxels characters, especially because they are free and free caped super heroes seem hard to come by. Ideally we'd have character editor built in, but I'd like to get the basic mechanics of the old Galactica copied before I go crazy with super cool features.
As you can see the project is called "Generica: Any Data" because I figured we could simulate zombie apocalypse, military conquest, super heroes, space stuff, product marketing, stuff like that.
Oh here's Ed Zavada's original Mac source code for the project, if you know what to look for in there to recreate it in C#. Can't contact Ed, been trying, breeaking my heart.
Also I'm very slowly working on recreating my old game uDeadGame.
Here's a video of the old Tutorial
Here's my fork of the github repo, links to original downloads in the readme, currently using Unity 2017.3.1f and UMA 2.50, update to 2.70 broke the project and it's over my head at the moment what it wants from me so sticking to 2.5. Today, Tobi re-enabled ability to use standard mesh models from sources like Mixamo as well. But, the project is bloating out of control with resources and since it's free and open source I'm trying to minimize how much content like that is in use, at least for now.
Had a bunch of procedural building stuff off the asset store in there but it broke, would like to figure out something stable to use to populate maps without having to build them by hand. Hand built maps can look real good, but for super quick 'zombie genre simulation' and reduced asset overhead procedural is the way to go.
Not my game, but my big mouth and brains and our dirty old low resolution game inspired Zombie Night Terror. right here on reddit.
Tobi now works full time on Royal Revolt 2., and dabbles in the project for a few hours here and there.
So what do you think, can we help each other?
I really like Royal Revolt 2, which is a tower defense/tower attack game (the tower attack being my favorite part).
I also play Game of Dice, which is basically "ADHD Monopoly" (because "Asian Monopoly" and "Korean Monopoly" are kinda racist and don't really explain it any better...suffice to say you can get a PSY character as your game piece and right now the main board (I believe) is modeled after SNK King of Fighters '98. If you start playing this one...well, good luck.
Lastly, King of Thieves, it's fun but you can see the pay2win peeking every time you flawless someone's base and don't retrieve a guildmember's stolen gem. however it's fun enough to keep playing.
