An APK is basically the technological name for the files that make up an android app.
If you're going to find and install an APK of Samsung Notes to your Google pixel, then make sure you use a trusted source like apk mirror.
However, I thought Samsung Notes was on Google Play store, have you searched there to see if you could download it?

It's also in the Microsoft app store if you want to download it on your Lenovo:

Maybe Samsung Notes will be good for you?

Could it have been Samsung Notes? It comes preinstalled on all Samsung Galaxy smartphones. I had an S10, as well. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.app.notes&gl=US
Infinite Painter with any stylus enabled device. It's a full fleshed easy to use drawing utility and it lets you use layers, the cut tool and the transform tool along with all the default pens for free.
Raindrop is a great bookmark manager that lets you add notes and create easy to use folders and reading lists. The app is really well thought out and I've found it a great replacement for Pocket or Instapaper.
I use this with Samsung Notes which is one of the best note taking apps I've used (on par with bear notes on iOS, if not better because of the spen chops) to create a readlist database type of thing. I use tags for a zettelkasten type flow.
It's in Google Play too at least in my phone.
