Yes, but there's in-app advertising (only seen during configuration, but not at any other time). There's actually 2 similar apps with the same name, I'm using the MYCOLORSCREEN version for a calendar list (shown under Dashclock), but I'm also using the full month calendar from the j4velin version by itself on a 2nd homescreen (can't really remember why I preferred the list from the first one over the second).
The only app that makes a big difference for me is Simple Calendar Widget. I have it configured to show me the next bunch of events on my gcal in a list, so at work I can always see my upcoming meetings (with locations). I used it the same way in college to keep track of my class schedule.
my absolutely fav was Simple Calendar Widget but it doesn't work with Oreo so I've since switched to Month...but not really happy with it. I wish the dev would update Simple Calendar :(((((
I've been using Simple Calendar Widget for years. Looks like it hasn't been updated in sometime but still works perfectly for me. I think I have the Pro version as I don't recall ever seeing an ad.
The agenda widget is simple calendar widget with a zooper widget semi transparent square underneath it.
If you just want a new widget try Simple Calendar Widget I too use Digical but don't like the widget this works better for me.
Not the best ideas, but here's a couple. You could always take a screenshot of your calender and make it your wallpaper. Or, since you're running Nova according to your flair (I'm a Nova user myself) you could enable the feature that lets you overlap widgets, then get a calendar widget such as Simple Calender Widget and put it under the rest of your icons and widgets. You can make the widget transparent so you could then have whatever wallpaper you wanted.

Oh, and if you're interested in the calendar widget as well, it's called Simple Calendar Widget
I am very fond of these widgets as they are all very customizable and, as the title suggests, simple. I prefer to keep my devices clean and minimalistic.
I used to use this and really loved it. It integrates with the google calendar. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.anod.calendar

I love simple calendar. It's minimal but extremely customizable.
I cannot do without simple calendar widget , it's a transparant, minimal calendar that fits over any theme.
Had this app for quite a while. Has a ridiculous amount of customizability!

It's the good old Simple Calendar Widget.
It's the good old Simple Calendar Widget.
Simple Calendar Widget is similar to this, and maybe able to replicate it? Maybe it's even the same widget? In any case, this is how I have it set up on my phone, which is close to what you're looking for. Making the background transparent and changing what it displays and it's almost identical. Note: There's also a paid version.
