Some of these have already been mentioned, but here goes:
Two short, fun, and free horror experiences.
Cardboard Camera: Make and view stereoscopic panoramas. Probably my most-used VR app! Go somewhere cool, take a panorama, show your friends.
Androids Dream: If you enjoyed Blade Runner, this is definitely a small experience you should check out.
If you have a game controller:
Nice list. Found some things I hadn't heard of and will try later. :) Maybe you left them out deliberately, but there are a few nice horror experiences available as well: Sisters, Chair in a room, Insidious VR.
Beware of jump scares! ;)
Here are some of my favorites:
This is different from the version they released on Cardboard. I'm looking forward to VR horror.
The GoogleVR SDK has had good spatial audio support for a while now.
There's a slightly crashy demo apk that is available alongside the Unity SDK as well that shows off the capabilities. Tap the items to trigger their sound effect, and the background to cycle locations.
I'm not coming up with too many other notable uses of it though.
Sisters has good sound design and uses darkness to draw attention to it as well, IIRC.
The Cardboard Design Lab app features a small section on using spatial audio. It's fun if you've ever thought about making your own VR app, or about what works in mobile VR.
We are talking about the same short ass games with the same gameplay designed for no motion tracking, and you're literally making assumptions about the resolution/text/performance because if you look online for Gunjack psvr vs gearVR reviews which is already out, no one is saying it's a better game on the psvr. Again, if you bought psvr for up res and reskins of mobile games, that sounds like a waste of money. Why would I pay many for ports of games that many of which are less than a year old and are FREE? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.otherworld.Sisters&hl=en , https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lucidsight.highwayrage&hl=en , a bunch more if you just google it. Great, they are adding improved textures and resolution to a free mobile game and you think we all should be so thankful for this
