Does Sling work watching thru a browser? If not then some kind of problem between Sling and you through the internet. If it works, then something strange with your Note 9 and FireTV. The Note 9 is running the standard Android Sling TV app, and I know my Samsung phone plays the app just fine. Are you having the issue through you home network or data network as well?

SlingTV might be what you're looking for. Oh and it will work on the Roku and the AFTV stick too!
