You could set an alarm on your mobile with an MP3 (your voice or synthesised) to ask google home to tell you about your day or even ask to play a certain playlist.
I've done this myself to play a shuffled playlist on the alarm and although it was weird the first few times to hear a voice speaking, I got used to it.
I used this alarm app but their might be better out there. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.tanyu.SmartAlarmFree&hl=en_GB
I use Smart Alarm.
Paid version (worth it to me).
What I love about it is that you can customize each alarm's features. For example, I have a diabetic cat that functions on a 12-hour cycle (glucose/feed/insulin). I've set an alarm for that which won't shut up until I silence it. The dismiss screen overrides the lock, so I don't need to unlock my device to acknowledge/silence the alarm.
I also have a few silent/vibrate only alarms set for my work day that vibrate in my pocket for 30 seconds and then turn off without any interaction from me, reminding me to stop for lunch, go back to work after lunch, prep for end of day so that I don't have to watch the clock but I stop working when I'm not being paid anymore.
I use this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.tanyu.SmartAlarmFree
Cheapish looking interface, but the "hard" math problems are pretty complex, and there's tons of settings for managing snooze and alarm options
Check out Smart Alarm.
You can set up tons of different alarms with different criteria - the type of alarm (vibrate, noise, what noise), and conditions for it (how long does it ring) and conditions for dismissal (ring indefinitely until dismissed, math problem to dismiss, etc.).
I love it - I have it doing 30-second vibrate only alarms in my pocket for reminders to stop working for lunch, and I have un-ending until I dismiss them with loud noise alarms for medication.
I use MedReminder as well and the one thing I don't like about it is how unintrusive the alarms are. If I'm having a 'normal' day, I notice the reminder, but when out/social or in a noisy environment, I miss them completely until I look at my device. What has helped is that I get the reminders on my Moto 360 now, so it's easier to see/feel those reminders, but they're still not customizable enough.
Smart Alarm. Thank me later.
