How about preparing for when you are old enough and have some money? No legal requirement says you cant paper trade.https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alifesoftware.stocktrainer&hl=en_US&gl=US
You can simulate trading or investing on the actual market in real time.
Uses live data (India and US markets) : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alifesoftware.stocktrainer&hl=en
I like how the app has transaction costs too, you get an idea as to how many trades are impossible due to the transaction costs involved
Cannot place shorts though
There's an Android app called Stock Trainer that uses real data from the market, but let's you use fake money to practice trading. They give you $25,000 virtual money. I learned a lot using it before I got started.

If you're on Android, there's a free app called Stock Trainer. They give you $20,000 in fake money to play around with. It uses real time stock market data so all the share prices you see are in real time.
The only thing I hate is you are limited to two or three trades. If you want to make more trades or more money than the $20,000 given to you, you have to watch ads. Ads for more money give you $400. Ads for more trades give you about 3 trades.
Overall, it's a decent app.

I believe it's called 'paper trading', you can search around for others if you want alternatives
That's what I searched for on Google Play to find one. This is the first one that pops up there. I'm sure the iphone store has similar apps.
The best way to try and learn how to do proper trading is to do it.
Not with real money, of course, but using the actual daily stock movements.
For Android you've got:
Stock Trainer: Virtual Trading
Browser based:
"Stock Market Game" over on Kongregate
Also, it's not stocks, but if you like games with a truly player based economy, and the ability to "buy low, sell high", or farm resources (not grind), I highly recommend Albion Online if you like MMO style games. Oh, it's isometric, too. I get kind of a Diablo feel.
A quick Google search yielded this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alifesoftware.stocktrainer
Go to Google Play store and search for "Stock Trainer".
Yep. Also the Android app Stock Trainer which I used to use. Not the best experience but it works: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alifesoftware.stocktrainer
I'm new to all this also, and have been learning a lot by just paper trading using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alifesoftware.stocktrainer

This one is wonderful. Use an Android emulator if you have to.

I used this one for a few months and have no complaints although I'm not sure if it tracked dividends or not.
This is probably a better game for those of you who just want to play the market. It looks to be much more feature rich.
