Not unprofitable I’m saying that a 500b$ mine isn’t going to generate 500b in profit. From that they’ll probably end up getting 10-50b in profit over the course of 5-20 years. https://www.slideshare.net/mobile/ahmedwassel/mining-costs-and-prices-of-minerals This link has a lot of information but another good source would be to look at mining companies earning reports.
If you were on Robinhood, you were automatically given a margin account when you signed up. The "Instant" account. You have to manually downgrade to a cash account, if you don't want a margin account, which ofc removes your access to instant deposits and instant settlements.

It is just hype, I wouldn't recommend trading it

"Tranzbyte gets the trophy for keeping an insolvent company trading on the open market.
The company has reported zero, yes zero, revenue for the last six months and only $21,023 for the six months prior. Losses for the same period tallied in at $378K."

The book Trading in the Zone is good. For educational YouTube channels, I like a couple of the Humbled Trader's playlists. But if you turned 500 into 4k in a few months, you're doing better than most. For learning terminology, I think Investopedia is your best bet.
I bought 5300 shares at .03. They are taking over sunworks this month. The MACD and SMA are looking good right now

Honestly, Robinhood's own explanation is pretty easy to follow. Here it is:
https://robinhood.com/us/en/support/articles/trailing-stop-order/
You own MEOW. You think MEOW will rise in value, but want to help protect yourself in case it falls in value. If you set your trail to 5%, your stop price will always remain 5% below MEOW’s highest price.
MEOW is currently trading at $100 per share. Your stop price will start at $95, which is 5% lower than the current price.
whats fucked is thats the article i pulled my quote from, but I SWEAR the link to the listing wasnt there lol. thank you. Here is the link to the amazon page, for those interested.

www.otcmarkets.com/edgar/GetFilingHtml?FilingID=10267737 It's for a company called Freedm petroleum which signed a LOI to acquire SteamPunk wizards. According to http://www.marketwatch.com/story/10-q-freedom-petroleum-inc-2015-06-19 FP will be going out of business in the next 12 months and will likely never actually complete the sale.
G, SEC is cracking down on pennies. Over 2000 pinks with no financial updates got shit-canned to the expert market the last couple months: https://www.schwab.com/resource/otcexpertmarket
That said, I still have buy orders open for some of these, lmao. I had a buy order fill today today that I had set weeks ago--I sold it literally 2 minutes later for 200% profit. You can't buy it anymore.
You're not selling to other buyers, you're selling to market manipulators AKA market makers. Not quite sure wtf is going on but I'm doing well closing out positions in these schwilly stocks right now. Pretty historic year, economically speaking. I've got my hedge.

Anyone else following ELTP?
With all of the news about pain killer abuse and FDA pushing for anti abuse products, it makes sense to invest in a company that is developing anti abuse pain killer. I know its on a message board but this is a good understanding the potential and DD
There has been a lot more activity as of the last few days and seems like something is stirring.
Is there something I am missing here other than the obvious risk of the company not getting approval for the abuse deterrent?
While I think the than/then is atrocious, it's ridiculous to call grammatical errors "obscenities" and then use anything but perfect grammar. You can be polite or not, correct it either way, but being a drama queen and insulting the entire U.S. (which DOES have a deplorable education system) is just silly lol.
Since I'm not a drama queen, I'll just inform you that you're suppose to use a comma before "which" when it's a non-restrictive clause.
It's a trading platform by TD Ameritrade. It exists as a mobile app, desktop app, and web app. I find the website to be the most convenient to use.

Sorry, I wasn't comparing markets. Here's an article that says what I was trying to say in less words.
My point was that if you want to trade penny stocks, don't get caught up in the story of the company no matter what market they're in, good they sell or service they offer. I'm only saying this to help at least one of you from losing your money.
I agreed this company is fishy. Here is the link to AWS Ecrypt One that is out of date. https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B018IUT9OQ No reviews and has been available since 2015. The website is a crappy WordPress site with broken plugins and dead links.
5 people have direct messaged me since I posted this lol

Normally it isn’t free but there’s a free trial for the next few days. They also alerted MKGI at 1.6 this morning and it’s sitting at 2.5 now so there’s some decent plays. I’ve only been there a few weeks.
No one here is doing actual analysis. First off it tanked on this: http://www.marketwatch.com/story/stemcells-inc-announces-pricing-of-public-offering-to-raise-25-million-2015-04-24?siteid=bigcharts&dist=bigcharts . You know, when a company is desperate enough to publicly offer their stock price at a cheaper price. That is a sign of a company in need of money. I would bail and get into a real company as an investment.
That article is from 2014.
Coincidentally though, that same guy writes about it again 2 years later endorsing it.
GBIM already up 22 cents today alone. Had an amazing run yesterday due to them almost guaranteeing a buyout by July 1st. Here's an article to catch you upon the latest (http://seekingalpha.com/article/3982324-globeimmune-takeover-highly-likely-july-1st-attractive-premium). Happy trading ;) [edit: 54 cents]
The restructuring plan would likely include bankruptcy wiping out shareholder equity. As a gamble, sure toss it a $100. But I wouldn't make any plans to spend your mad gains anytime soon.
Earnings are supposed to be this week. Additionally, the CEO of the company last month said there sanitizing systems were being tested through British Hospitals (2-3 of them currently) and mid-April the results of the test would be reported. If the tests go well, the products that PCTL produces could be spread out to 600+ hospitals across England. This was told in a podcast, so take it as it is.

Don't get me wrong, graphene is a total pipe dream, hopefully one day it becomes a normal part of battery production, but so far, no dice. Graphite is a major part of the batteries they produce today though.
no what i mean to say as as long as you dont mix them up you're good. like just make sure you buy as much as you want to as many times as you want and then when you start selling, sell as much as you want, as many times as you want without buying any more.

Rh does a good job of explaining with examples: https://robinhood.com/us/en/support/articles/pattern-day-trading/
I think there's a difference to turning margin off versus switching to a cash account. I think you can switch margin on or off at any time, but when you change to a cash account (they call it downgarding) you need to request it.
See the last section of this page: https://robinhood.com/us/en/support/articles/downgrading-from-gold/
Just a heads up, depending what brokerage app you are using, you only get 4 day trades per 5 trading days usually, then they lock you out for a while after you are flagged as a day trader. Best to save those for emergencies to bail out or lock in, rather than use them on 10% gains.
A day trade is considered buying and selling the same stock on the same day. https://robinhood.com/us/en/support/articles/pattern-day-trading
Don't worry, I like you don't have time to do in depth DD. That's why I focus more on looking for good entry points and more of the technical analysis aspect of the stock,
A quote is just the stock price. Screened (screener) is what people use to find tickers (stocks). You can go to a site like tradingview.com or finviz.com to use their free screeners. You enter specific characteristics that you want in a ticker such as 500K+ in volume or small float, priced under $2, etc. and it will give you all the stocks that fit that criteria. FINVIZ also has charts but I like to use the charts on thinkorswim which is free with my TD Ameritrade account. I would recommend to search YouTube for information on reading charts and learning different indicators and how they work. It's the easiest and cheapest (free) way to do it.

The article being referenced:

Just 24 hours after this:
PHOT the #1 stock in the marijuana market.
TL;DR:"At a price of $0.345, or a market capitalization of $245.58 million, the stock in today's marijuana market is worth about $0.49, or a market capitalization of around $348 million. Looking out intermediate term, ...the company should be able to carry a market cap of $500 million, or about $0.70 cents a share, possibly more if the industry premium holds."

Edit: added TL;DR.

Search RSS reader in the Google Play (Android) or App Store (iOS), then go to http://www.google.com/alerts/ to set up an alert for your stock symbol, choose RSS as the Deliver to: option, it'll bring you to a page with a ton of code... only copy the URL where the code is located, not the code itself. Plug that URL into the RSS reader, and use the RSS reader to alert you anytime changes are made.

Thanks for the question. I don’t read trading books. I own a few but I haven’t learned anything from them yet. Whatever I’m doing seems to be working beyond my wildest dreams so instead of buying a $20 book I’d rather invest it 🤣. Nevertheless I have heard wonderfully things about “Security Analysis.” I’ll probably buy it. You can find it here.

Terra tech is a company orienting them self for the marijuana market. They are focusing on Green House hydroponic growing operations selling produce. This month they will turn on their 5 arce green house and start selling produce. they have signed contracts with other greenhouse hydroponic owners to have them grow produce and Terra tech will do the marketing and sell it. The company signed with; Growrite for 8000 square feet, they signed with a midwest green house for 30 arce's this is all fairly recently they plan on expanding with their edible garden brand. Aiming for locally grown organic produce. And once they get a opportunity for a marijuana grow they will jump on it.

You're totally fine! Here's what the RH site says about accounts, "All customers start out with an Instant account, which is a margin account, so that they can access funds before they’ve settled and enter options trades if they’re approved. Even if you’ve never borrowed money in your account, this account type is still classified as a “margin” account from a regulatory standpoint. As a result, it will appear as such on your annual tax documents and monthly account statements."

https://robinhood.com/us/en/support/articles/why-cant-i-place-a-buy-order-on-a-cryptocurrency/
Ahhhhhh I see. Yeah Cryptocurrencies are non-marginable and can’t count as collateral. That's why even though if you're up up on crypto and have more than 2k in your account, it'll still look like as though your still short to use margins.
No problem. In particular look at options ITM (in the money) at expiration. Robinhood doesn’t say if they reprimand you if they must step in to sell for you. They just say it’s frowned upon.

There are articles like this one both sides...
Shorts have complete control of this stock. No doubt about it, until company or political news is released.
I am no expert, I have to put that out there. I just got started with trading and NAK was one of my first picks. And of course, it crashed thanks to Kerrisdale. Check out this article mentioning how convenient the timing of the Kerrisdale report was, practically following a short interest surge from 6.5 million shares to 15.5 million for the period ending February 15. Regardless if the article is true or not, it clearly hurt the stock. I could only assume that in order for the stock to return to its bullish behavior, Northern Dynasty will have to release much more information than a simple denial of the article, perhaps a proper favorable press release should do the trick. Kerrisdale released such a bad article, that now anywhere you pull up information about NAK... you will see Lawsuits. My strategy: unless Northern Dynasty has some phenomenal news published to offset this situation, stay away.
I was trading this one for awhile but it's on the shit list now and can't be traded unless you are an accredited investor.
Schwab has an ongoing list of tickers going on the shit list here.

Sure KLYG and WWSG are on the list but they are not stop sign...

edit 2: also i kinda really just started posting.. just happens to be in a way that discredits a company, also you mean to use "e.g" if you are going to insult me, do it correctly

Gosh, because I love you guys I will give you the fast track on what is going to happen down the road.
See there are these two companies. One is Elite, the other is a privately owned company known as EPIC.
Look at their linkedin page here: https://www.linkedin.com/company/epic-pharma
Is that CEO of EPIC, (Ashok Nigalaye) that also says he is the CSO of Elite?
It is!
"Mr. Nigalaye served as a Vice President of Scientific Affairs and Operations of Actavis " Found here: http://www.bloomberg.com/research/stocks/people/person.asp?personId=54535388&ticker=ELTP&previousCapId=9871755&previousTitle=Wheaten%20Capital%20Management%20LLC
But wait didn't Nasrat also work at Actavis? and didnt he just give his 13 FDA approved drugs to Elite, (trust me on this, he did) and now these guys both big dogs in their field and both used to work at Actavis now own together one half of R&D and one half Marketing and distribution? Oh snap!
I would pumping if I told you all that a reverse merger between these two companies would bring EPIC to an IPO the easy way all the while the huge amount of float shares ELTP would be absorbed into the newly formed company that now has a license ART worth billions.
So I wont.
Crazy what a little DD can do, but I read somewhere it's a waste of time LOL!

Yes, Mike, we do get calls periodically. This is Marty Tullio. STEM. Not going to make you rich tomorrow but i think the current price is a good entry point for anyone looking to make a long term commitment to the company. if you mean close up shop, you mean, stop producing sapphire and go back to manufacturing/selling sapphire furnaces and focusing on their solar technology, then yeah, they want to close up shop real bad.
the factories they built for apple were costing them a $1mil/day since AAPL decided not to use sapphire. they just wanna go back to the winning business model they had before taking AAPL's business contract.
GTAT is looking for permission from the courts to operate/restructure while filing the chapter 11.
admittedly, i'm a rookie n00b, but this is really informative. ref's another japanese company that went through a similar ordeal with AAPL and survived.
i'mma not going to touch this until the fallout has completely settled and even then, tread carefully.
Also, so people don't panic, it's trading at 11:50 not 11:30 as the title suggests. source
Here's an article on seekingalpha about why none of the mj stocks will uplist and it outlines what requirements they must be in order to be able to do so... http://seekingalpha.com/article/2062693-cannabis-stocks-high-hopes-of-uplisting
But nyse's major requirements are minimum 4$ a share. 1.1 million shares outstanding market value of shares in excess of 40 million. Aggregate pre-tax income for the last 3 years of at least $10 million with a minimum in the most recent year of at least $2 million and a minimum in the next most recent year of at least $2 million. Pre-tax income must be positive in all 3 years.... So on and so forth... things like that. Nasdaq is... minimum bid price of $4 per share, 1 million shares outstanding, at least 3 market makers, and a minimum of 300 round lot shareholders. And it must either, have equity of at least $5 million with the market value of publicly held shares in excess of $15 million, and at least 2 years of operating history.... or... if not the 2 yrs operating history must have a total market value over $50million... or net income from continuing operation of at least $750,000 per year in the latest fiscal year, or in two of the past three fiscal years... Either of the last two ($50 mil market value or $750,000 net income) while meeting the first two criteria of $4 a share, 1 million shares outstanding, at least 3 market makers, and a minimum of 300 round lot shareholders. Hope that wasn't too confusing.
Has anybody read the guy's analysis? More importantly the part about Walmart being more interested in federal green energy tax credits while they last than plug's tech itself? It seems like an awful lot of trouble to go through to install all of plug's infrastructure at all these warehouses just to chase after some green rebate if plug's tech isn't worth the money after the green credits have dried up.
Pretty ballsy for this guy to claim a 50 cent share price and then quote revenues that completely ignore the new contracts with Walmart. Is the market really this easy to manipulate (mostly rhetorical lol)?
On that note, who's planning to jump back in tomorrow?
Edit-this sa article has some real numbers to look at:
Apparently plug has a higher multiple than Tesla, and a serious history of dilution. But if you're a day trader, who cares?!
Create account at seeking alpha (free) and then subscribe to "Investing Ideas" mail list (I think you just have to check some box in your profile). You will get one email every day that lists all the new articles. Don't worry there are penny stocks too (e.g. ONCS at $0.31 when I found out about it, AMBS currently $0.09).
There are still scams/articles written for the purpose of manipulating the price but at least you avoid 95% of the normal scams. The articles are vetted so author cannot write whatever he wants in order to benefit himself. They also say whether they are short/long/have no position in the stock they are writing about. You can also look what other articles the author has written and see what people are saying about the article.
Also you can follow the author and you will get an email when they write a new article.
For penny stocks (price 0.00xx or 0.000xx) I really don't know anything else than investors hub, yahoo and this subreddit. I would be really careful with those since there is so much misinformation/pumps/dumps. Trust no one. In ihub you can also follow other people. So if you find someone who seems to know what he is talking about and all around nice guy, follow him. See what boards he is posting on and you might find other interesting stocks.
No kidding, I can pm you a referral link if you want but it's the weakest referral ever. I don't get anything and you get $100 after 45 days only if you deposit $1000+ within the first 30 days of opening your account. You can get up to $500 but you have to deposit crazy amounts to get more then $100. Details on it in the link (not the referral code)

Same or better as any other major broker. $0 commissions for stocks. fees for options and futures. Tiered margin rates start at ~8%.
+1 for Schwab customer service and web/mobile platform is legit.

I use RH for options since they don’t charge commission or per contract fees. Schwab for all my long term holds, IRA accounts, and they have the Schwab index funds which to use to be awesome because no fees and low commission. I use ToS for day trading.
I don't use Schwab, but I searched for a stock screener for Schwab members via Google and came up with this:
Copy and paste the link below to download the .rmskin package. I am assuming you have some basic Rainmeter knowledge.

What's your opinion on Webroot? I noticed they mentioned their a 'master distributor' and provide support to 300 resellers of the product. I'm not sure what percentage of their revenue comes from this but it doesn't seem to have the best reviews when looking online

I most definitely am Canadian I live in Ontario and am aware of TheScore but I do think saying it is a household name is stretching it a lot. Literally no one uses it where I live they opt for ESPN. But again please show me the statistical evidence that shows TheScore is the “#1 sports app” in the ENTIRETY of Canada as OP is claiming. According to the link I’ve provided they’re number 7 in downloads and popularity. It is a very arrogant thing to assume that because you and your friends use TheScore to watch sports or whatever it means that it’s the most popular app in the country.... Come on man 3 million monthly active users also accounted are users across the border in the USA. Those numbers are pathetic.

Yeah you have to send them an email to downgrade you to a cash account. I was on the same boat as you and was confused. Had Margin turned off but still had to follow the pesky PDT rule because I apparently had an "Instant Deposit" account. Per their website:
"- Pattern Day Trading restrictions don’t apply to users with Cash accounts, only Instant and Gold users.
- A Robinhood Cash account allows you to place commission-free trades during the standard and extended-hours trading sessions. You won’t have access to Instant Deposits or Instant Settlement. You can downgrade to a Cash account from an Instant or Gold account at any time.*"
Hope that helps. Here is the link with info on RH site.
You did 3 day trades on Wednesday. If you do a fourth you won't be able to day trade for 90 days.
>If you place your fourth day trade in the five-day window, your account will be marked for pattern day trading for ninety calendar days. This means you won’t be able to place any day trades for ninety days unless you bring your account equity above $25,000.
Don't buy and sell a stock on the same day. If today you sell a stock that you held yesterday and then buy the same stock again later in the day, it doesn't count as a day trade unless you sell what you just bought.

You can transfer. I did it from eTrade going INTO RH though.
