My Stocks Portfolio app for anyone who's curious. I highly recommend it, use it to track all my stonks as well as imaginary internet money coins.
I use My Stocks Portfolio which has a pretty good widget. Jstock is indeed superior but I prefer the concise layout of this one.
take a look at "My Stocks Portfolio"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks&hl=nl&gl=US
401k offerings vary wildly by provider and employer, best I can say about them is to stay clear of "Life Path" or "Targeted Retirement" plans as my personal stance is that they are far too conservative and have high fees. Either way you should be able to find some index fund in your 401k, it maybe a Russel 1000/2000 or an S&P500 or some other more obscure index - but it'll be there. My own 401k offerings are infuriating as we don't have good unmanaged growth index options - so I'm stuck with just Russel 1000 index which I find less aggressive than I'd like.
At 30 I would absolutely start investing aggressively. If you have cold feet about stocks like I did for damn near a decade - fake invest. Download a stock tracking app like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks&hl=en_US&gl=US and add holdings to it that you don't actually have. Watch them and see how they do and while you'll absolutely see losses now and then over time these will turn green (hopefully) and with that your hesitation will fade. Even now I fake buy stocks more often that I buy them for real just to watch "what could have been" scenarios. (And yes, that has lead me to kicking myself pretty hard sometimes for not actually going in.)
Check out the app My Stocks Portfolio. Its Android and iOS. (Not sure if all features are in iOS, I use Android)
This app is great for tracking your Bitcoin and it calculating all the important financial data for you. I used it for stocks and when I realized it could track Bitcoin I made a BTC Only portfolio. The app is free w minimal, unnoticeable ads, and I think $20 a year pro version but the free version is PLENTY.
It's fantastic because if you input every purchase or sale you make (btc amount up to 8 decimals, exchange price in USD, date & time + fee) it creates a " Transaction ". And you'll know if you entered in the right numbers bc it calculates what your USD cost is, up to 6 decimal places. So if you spent $100, it will use your shares and share price and tell you 100.0000 So you know you're exactly on point.
Each transection entry shows the info you put in, how much it cost you including fees, then the daily P/L and Total P/L.
Every transaction gets its own isolated entry. After you have a few buys, at the bottom is a banner that tells you your total amount invested, total profit in USD & % , your total shares, your COST BASIS, realized and unrealized gains, XIRR annualized and unannualized.
Has a great chart, auto price updates, price alerts (for dem dips! ) and more. Incredibly useful for Bitcoin value tracking.
I do not work for whoever makes this app, nor compensated, nor have any relationship whatsoever. I just think it's a fantastic app to keep track of your Bitcoin transactions and gains/losses.
You could do virtual investing - so not actually putting money down but using an app that would track a portfolio. And you could play different strategies if you wanted to simulate short term trading without the risk. This is one I use, but there are many others. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
This is a good way to get any jitters out and see what the market actually does vs the highlight reels and crazy up and down days.
After looking at it for a month or 2, then start putting some money into what you like. If your wanting to put any down right away, diversified is the safest, so the broodmare etf and coachpotato advice is excellent.
I use this My Stocks Portfolio. there is no web version its only app but is good for me. Still in early access but with a lot of possibilities.
I use My Stocks Portfolio App and it's wonderful. Give it a shot! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
It works fine and it's free. It allows you to tracks Stocks and ETFs on different markets. You can see the news related to one stock and the financial data (P/E, Volume, graphs, etc.) You can add your purchases/sells including commissions and EUR/USD conversion.
It also has Forex and other functions but I don't use them
My Stocks Portfolio & Widget von Peeksoft.
Mir fehlt dort nur, dass man keinen automatischen Sparplan anlegen kann, wie es bei Portfolio Performance möglich ist.
Does anybody have any portfolio and stock tracking apps?
I currently use this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
It's ok, but it doesn't allow me to paste information in (don't know why), and the FX field is one direction, so I have to recalculate my FX rate the other way and then type the output by hand.
It's a really nice app, but really annoying to use when trying to add in new trades.
I've started using a Google sheet that updates and I have charts that show me portfolio value over time, profit over time, and also stock price over time. I've also added Google scripts to automate adding the daily closing price to the sheet so these charts update themselves... But afaik there isn't a way to show these charts as a widget on my phone.
MSP(My Stocks Portfolio) app is available for iOS & Android
iOS/Apple: https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/msp-my-stocks-portfolio/id923544282
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
For Android, I use this app which doesn't require access to any of your accounts. I just enter my crypto and stock info manually.
I use "My stocks portfolio." It only allows 5 notifications but they work well and its easy to use! Less BS news and ads than yahoo finance.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
I personally use My Stocks Portfolio and Widget from Play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
Lets me input both stocks and crypto (shows crypto current price at your currency of choice too!), so I can see everything in one place.
I use "My Stock Portfolio App" and I believe you can in there!
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks&hl=en_GB&gl=US
Apple: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/my-stocks-portfolio-widget/id923544282
It's a good app for tracking things if you have them in a few different places.
The MOASS hasn't even started yet so people are still able to jump in, and the people jumping in now are pushing it closer to the margin call, just need to get them on board, plenty of tendies to go around!
Hm okay iPhones have it already in a side tab, looks like there’s a widget in the Google play store with good reviews here. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks&hl=en_US&gl=US
The "My Stocks" app for android (Link) shows the current short interest in the total number of shares short and the total number the previous month, plus the %shares short and %shares short borrowed from the float.
https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipPI6fEBk1uQlem2YA5E-m148iiAv1viE8t4bTMbrcKYerBXFx\_nbvnaEUnX7Y4l2g?key=cU05SmFTVFUwYzN4eFNBM0NHeVh2NXQxdFhLRFB3
Free with ad support, but it doesn't have those big interstitials, just little bar ads across the bottom sometimes.
My Stocks Portfolio
Should have everything you need. Been using it for a while now and have been reasonably happy. You can add in transactions, see day/total p/l for each transaction and holding, split up multiple portfolios, etc.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
I use My Stocks which allows you to exclude cash from totals and you can exclude whole portfolios from the total too if you want.
I use this one as an app on my phone. It works great and also has crypto.
For funds I use this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
The free version has everything I want, you can have multiple portfolios with multiple funds, see graphs for each fund with your investments marked on it, and an overall graph for each portfolio.
It requires manual entry but I invest once a month at most, and I love the widget and the app overall so it's worth it for me.
Eu uso o My Stock
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
Vários portfólios, track transaction de compra e venda e quebra um galho. Eu uso só para ver em tempo real*, mas as análises são no Excel.
I almost immediately downloaded My Stock Portfolio because I hated the Fidelity widget. I've never used RH though, so idk how the charts compare.
I am very interested in knowing how you set up the spreadsheet. I prefer spreadsheet over anything else, really. I'm a simple minded person I guess.
I use: - My stocks Portfolio for my money invested in stocks: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks - MoneyManagerFree for all my expenses. I just record them there manually each time, and set a category. You can extract this into a CSV and put it in excel. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.realbyteapps.moneymanagerfree
I recommended the latter for tracking all expenses as you can export to CSV and put it in excel pretty trivially.
The way my spreadsheet is set is: - amount in savings account 1 - amount in savings account 2 - amount in CommSec (what I put, not what is currently there, I get that info from the app above) Then in a fourth column, the total at the end of each month. A 5th column compares previous month to current month, so i can see a trend of me saving more or less each month. I then have my recurring expenses (rent, phone, gym, etc.) And then " last month + salary - what actually is in the total - recurring expenses" tells me how much I spent in variables things this month.
The variable things are food, eating out, public transport, occasional clothing, doctor visits, tennis lessons... Anything. I check this using the second app. So I can see "oh shit, this month I ate out a lot!"
I wonder, what else do you have on your sheet that is a good idea to have? Honestly, what comes out of my expenses tracking app, I look at it at the end of the month, see if it matches the sheet then I think to myself "i should eat less out" or "i did pretty well, let's keep it up". But I have no use for it afterwards. I wonder what you use have you been finding with this information?
you... need a better spreadsheet if you want to keep track of your portfolio long-term.
Otherwise, just get a free portfolio-tracking mobile app.
Check out My Stocks Portfolio if you're using Android
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
I like this one. It's like the notepad of stock listings. Free version can log purchases and sales and gives 10 test alerts. Plus it has a widget so i can keep it in sight.
https://www.tradingview.com/symbols/BCHBTC/
This next app is good for comparing cryptocurrencies to each other. Look at BCH in terms of BTC. BCH is down 83% in the last two years. Almost the same with ETH. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
If it's not Bitcoin it's a shitcoin. Bitcoin is king.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
I love this app. It allows me to track 90% of markets. I can track cash in a portfolio and dividends on each stock.
Best app out there!
On Android, for an app, I use this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
Create a "portfolio", for example I did my "Roth IRA".
Add in your purchases and quantities and date of purchase... My various ETF's for a 4 ETF portfolio.
Then the different screens will give graphs and performance.
I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks&hl=en
It has also stocks, precious metals, different currencies and it will recalculate all in real time to your currency if not using USD
does the job. my pro license carried over from their original tracker app so I'm not sure how limited the free version is, or of there even is one but its been doing well for my use case for the past year and a half or so. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
Just found an Android phone app. "My Stocks Portfolio" on Google Play allowed me to set up my holdings. Displays multi-currency holdings and lets you set a default currency for totals, etc. It is free (ad supported, but they are tiny). I'm only using a small percentage of the functionality available.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
Disclosure: I have no financial interest in this app, or the company and am not being paid (or otherwise compensated in any way) for this opinion/post.
TradingView supposedly has an android app in the works.
I'm not a day trader but I use this app to keep tabs on my investments. It doesn't have all of the features TradingView has so I'm not sure if it'll work for you.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
I just installed this. Interface looks good. Ads are not intrusive. mystocks portfolio is the name of the app.
I'll see how well it does once I put my transactions in. Has a widget as well.
I use investing.com because I like their website, but I must say that the app is terrible.
On android, this app works well for me if syncing your portfolio to desktop is not required https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
I use My Stocks Portfolio for Android. It has a really great widget, and you are also able to insert your transactions manually so that you have results on your widget. It takes a while to learn how to use but once you get the hang of it it'll be great. Also it has the 15 minute delay, thought I should note that.
Best of all ... its free.
I believe it's My Stocks Portfolio
"My Stocks Portfolio" android app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
My Stocks Portfolio. Feature-rich and has a great widget.
EDIT: You failed me, link bot...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
I use My Stocks Portfolio (android).
Seems OK, the developer is responsive.
If you have Android, this app lets you import the CSV downloaded from Google finance: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks&hl=en
The 100k, 500k, and other figures floating around, are the set price levels that some apes have set for themselves, as the minimum that they would sell their shares for. This would be with the aspect that most apes would not sell their shares at any lower price, which would keep pushing the minimum 'ask' price higher. If many apes sold at lower prices, it would be harder to reach the higher figures, or not at all. For any ape, the price that you are willing to sell at is what would the selling price you see do for what you want your life to be, or to resolve an emergency type situation.
Beware of thinking that you can set a 'trigger' to sell, at a certain price, once the price really starts moving, as the price can fluctuate extremely fast, and your trigger might not work. For example, the price starts really going up, and has reached $5,000 a share, and is still climbing. You set a trigger to sell at $5,000, and the price climbed to $7,000 a share, and quickly starts dropping. The system recognizes reaching the $5,000 level, and precedes to execute your trigger. The price in the meanwhile is still moving down. Your trigger price, to sell at $5,000 a share comes in, BUT the bid price has adjusted to less than $5,000 a share by then. This can happen in mere seconds when things are happening fast. Your trigger would not execute as you would be asking for more than the bid prices were at that point. When the real squeeze happens, you will need to be at your keyboard, and be prepared to take quick action, if the price starts falling.
Since the squeeze can happen at any time, at any future point in time, a critical item would be that you would need to be able to react to it, from any place that you may be at the time. This will mean several things:
I am not a financial advisor. This is not to be taken as financial advice, advising you as to what to do in your investments. It is a commentary only, related to the conditions that I see, and my own thoughts. Every ape must decide their own path.
I've been very happy with this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
Have been using the free version. I think there's an iOS version but no desktop website.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.peeksoft.stocks
If not that then search for stock alerts and find what works for you or your platform
