You can use those dumbbells in a Tabata workout. Do it right, and it will kick your ass. Here's a Tabata timer app I use. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplevision.workout.tabata&hl=en
I have used the following 2:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplevision.workout.tabata
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.evgeniysharafan.tabatatimer
They both work. The interfaces are different, but both are simple.
I'm using this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplevision.workout.tabata&hl=en
it has a shitton of ads, but no popups, so I don't really care.
I can import images to add to specific exercises/timers, can change the sound... I'm pretty happy with it tbh... it adds the programs to a calendar after completion, which is nice but not really needed...
I'm looking for an HIIT timer app. I'd like one that has customizable timing intervals and sounds for start and stop. It should allow my music player to work in the background and it should work while my screen is off. I tried this one today, and it doesn't seem to work when you turn the screen off. I'm using it for walk/sprint intervals so I don't need/want to watch the timer.
I use Tabata Timer for HIIT https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplevision.workout.tabata
Super customizeable, and the ads are unobtrusive
Hope you're on Android, I use this one : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplevision.workout.tabata
ha, i hope i didn't come off as a jerk. sorry about your surgery! i think you could ask the r/fitness folks but you can do squats at home without even a gym. if you have android there is a free app called 'tabata timer' it is really good:

i am sure there are free ones on itunes too. then you can just do some leg exercises, prob some squats and core, planks. you don't have to go crazy, maybe 5-6 excercises 2 days a week. each tabata i do for 20 seconds work, 10 sec rest, repeat 6 times. so its like 3 minutes of excercise. you can do like squats, mountain climbers, burpees, etc. but for your upper thighs you really just need to do some squats. youll build muscle really fast (like under a month) as long as youre eating well (can't starve yourself while gaining muscle)
btw your cosplay is amazing
