I couldn't figure out how to get to e621 in Daydream VR, but I can get to Reddit using Splash VR (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.BigPictureSoft.splashVR) and imgur (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.BigPictureSoft.imvr), so as long as I can access /r/gfur, I guess that's good enough for now...
>I tried some 360° videos on YouTube and they didn't look right
How exactly did it look wrong? Which phone are you using with the goggles?
>I also remember a video where a guy was using Reddit in VR and I wanted to try that.
I have found this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.BigPictureSoft.splashVR But it is paid and doesn't seem compatible with my S7, so I'm not sure it would work with your phone. With the GearVR you can access your browser and browse Reddit, so you might have seen videos of that.

Not exactly what you looking for, but Splash VR for Reddit has some of these features.
Funny thing. I got one star review for my daydream app, because it is working only with daydream.
Not client yet, but good enough for browsing. Splash VR for Reddit
If you have daydream VR there is a much more functional client: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.BigPictureSoft.splashVR
Surfing reddit with the daydream while sitting on the toilet is pretty damn amazing.
