No, shortcuts by chrome are always opened by chrome.
Get this app, create a shortcut for the specific link (for example, type in the middle field reddit.com/r/androidquestions and let the app fill out the name and icon automatically) and it'll create a shortcut. If you tap on that it'll ask you to choose a default app (unless you already selected one)
Install this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deltacdev.websiteshortcut
Then use it to create a shortcut and use this YouTube URL: https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=WL
Don't worry about picking an icon, it will figure it out.
Just tested and it worked for me on my Note 10. As long as the YouTube app is set to open yourbe URLs by default, it should work.
"Website shortcut" app works fine, you can put a image and label your shortcut
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deltacdev.websiteshortcut
There are others similar but you have to try, I found this searching: android browser personalized shortcuts
I managed to get the same effect with the app Website Shortcuts.
It lets you create a homescreen shortcut that will open whatever is set as default handler for the link. You can set a custom text and icon for the shortcut. For the icon, I used one from Notion's Media Kit.
Looking forward to the Notion app itself supporting "Add to homescreen" and App Shortcuts, but that works in the meantime
I have got around this by having the app installed and then creating a link to www.tripadvisor.com using an app called shortcut creator from the app store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deltacdev.websiteshortcut). Clicking on the shortcut will open the app up correctly without stalling on the green screen. Not sure why this works however it seems to be an easy workaround.
I'm using Website Shortcut ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deltacdev.websiteshortcut ) + Flyperlink. You won't be able to add it to drawer but you can make a folder of links, choose name and icon making it discreet :)
So this is possible.

Create a new shortcut, you can make it whatever you want, just put the following into the URL bar >tel:
Then you can choose whatever icon you want, I won't get into that. But it's as simple as that!
