I use the Windy app for Android (it's also available for iPhone) on my phone. Tons of wind information and precipitation/cloud cover estimates with granularity down to the hour. It uses weather data from local weather stations so it is usually pretty accurate.
Don't know about iPhone, but if you're on Android, this app at least gives you a heads up. And I agree, I hate the fucking wind. I'd rather do mountains in the snow. The sudden gusts outta nowhere makes the adrenaline hit my kidneys like I was punched. And I haul for Samsung, a full trailer sometimes isn't even 10k.

Windy App - I found the app
The hostel I stayed at was full of kiteboarders and their lounge always had the wind forecast up from https://old.windguru.cz/int/index.php?sc=43
I can also recommend the Windy app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.windyapp.android&hl=en_GB
Both the app and Windguru are showing the same forecast for me.
If forecast looks off, I'd just double check the spot as sometimes there are multiple entries for one spot and one of them will have the right data the others are garbage.
