My preferred to-do app is Wunderlist. A pleasing simplistic interface, convenient reminder features, and excellent cross-platform support (Android, iOS, Mac, and web) make it an ideal choice.
I use Wunderlist for lists because you can check off the items directly on the widget without having to open the app. (I've got WidgetLocker so my grocery list is on my lockscreen.)
I'll go with Wunderlist. Simply because that is what I am using right now and I think it looks pretty.
I've been using Wunderlist because it really is simple to use.
Yet, it does have extra features you may come to use over time. I like it because Wunderlist is cross platform too, so I can use a shared groceries list with my wife, who uses an iPhone.
Can't believe nobody has mentioned Wunderlist. I love it for so many things. I also use Google Keep, mostly for quick notes, but for just straight up to-do lists Wunderlist is baller. It allows shared list so both my wife and I can add to the grocery list etc. They have a Chrome extension too, so you can manage your lists from your PC or Mac. BOOM!
Wunderlist mi se pare mai bun decat remember the milk. Si e si gratis.
Bineinteles, poti pune task daily-recurrent, eu am multe taskuri lunare recurente pt facturile de la casa/masina etc...
If it is just a list keeper you are after, you really cant go wrong with

Sign in with your google account, and share lists btw people.
Super nice if wife needs something and I am on my way home from work, she just adds to list on her side, and I see it on mine.
Wunderlist (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wunderkinder.wunderlistandroid) is my absolute favorite To-Do app. It syncs between mobile/desktop as well.
Since you don't need much apart from a to-do list (all of these apps are available on the web, I linked to the play store):
Wunderlist might suffer from the being too much problem you had with Todoist.
MeisterTask not much experience with it but I can know that it has a web version.
Google Keep and Tasks (emphasis on Keep cuz Tasks is just fugly) they both have web versions and since you're all in on Google for your personal stuff it should be hassle free.
If you're willing to experiment with something less ordinary try Habitica, it's a habit and task tracker that specializes in gamification to motivate you to be productive and its particularly fitting for personal things so might stick.
Edo Any.Do-esque app, I can't remember if it constantly bugs you about going pro.
Edit: forgot to mention Trello, even though its overkill for most things you might find it helpful. It's meant for big project with lots of people, it lets you make lists and move todos through them as you move a task closer to being finished.
Wunderlist is fantastic and looks good too. Definitely try it before making your final decision.
I got you OP.

I also really love Evernote. I use it to keep track of everything, but it's great for lists, reminders, and clipping things I find on the internet. Like Pintrest, but with private dignity.
Wunderlist sirve para anotar las cosas que tenes que hacer y poner recordatorios.
It is on Android! I second this software! Absolutely amazing.
I use Wunderlist
I like to use Wunderlist.

I like Wunderlist, though it might be a little feature heavy for what you're looking for.
Other options include
Or you can set reminders via Google Now.
Can't believe nobody's said Wunderlist yet.
It's the most versatile listmaking/notetaking app I've come across so far. The default lists are:
>Inbox (Used for really short term reminders)
Starred
Private
Work
Shopping
Movies to Watch
Wishlist
and I've since made custom lists including
>Life (For my life goals)
Short Term (For the lightweight life goals)
Challenges (For fun!)
When you add an entry to a list entry, you can set a due date for it, set a time for it to remind you, set it so that it repeats the reminder every day, every other day, every week, every other week, every 30 years etc. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a day-of-the-week reminder setting. You can "star" it, which mirrors it onto the "starred" list, add a note, add a comment, add subtasks, you can check off individual subtasks as well as the root list entry itself and if you don't want it in your completed history you can just outright delete it.
Last weekend some family came over for cards and I used this app to create a list for the game itself and subtasks to keep track of each person's score. You can change the order of subtasks on the fly, so I was able to exchange the names around depending on who was in the lead.
As far as settings go, you've got a profile photo you can change, a name you can also change, an email that you can also change, and you can change your password (Duh). You can connect your account to Facebook and Google if you'd like. You can set notifications to notify you via Email or Push, which I assume is referring to Pushbullet, which is another fantastic app.
You can customize your background, added item behavior, starred item behavior, reminder behavior, reminder snoozing and smart lists, which I don't really know anything about.
It's also free and I haven't bumped into any ads yet besides the "Hey! If you have a moment, rate this app!" which comes up every week or so. Probably gonna give it a perfect score, but I wanna wait awhile so I can experience the whole thing.
Idk if this will work but here you go:
