Contracts. Unless ExpressVPN does something that violates that contract to where it can be broken by RT with no repercussions, RT is locked in until the contract is up for renewal. Since the purchase by the skeevy company that bought ExpressVPN just happened, it's doubtful anything skeevy or illegal will occur for at least the next 6 months. By then, RT should be able to say "no" to any advertising contract renewal. In regards to ExpressVPN employing a, presumably, former hacker: that's common practice for software companies, including ones that advertise security. Unless there is proof of their CIO continuing to practice hacking, especially of their customers, there is nothing legally or ethically wrong in employing a former hacker. Businesses like Casinos do the same thing by employing ex cheats to catch cheaters.
Not even a few weeks. Some companies buy advertising months in advance. Unless ExpressVPN does something to justify breaking a contract with no repercussions, RT is locked in until they fulfill what ExpressVPN has paid for.
Not without repercussions to the company paid for a certain service. Unless the people paying them does something that can allow an advertiser to break the contract with zero repercussions, said advertiser is obligated to fulfill the contract. Hiring a former hacker (a common practice for cyber security companies), and being bought by a skeevy company with a history of making malware, are not good reasons to break an advertising contract with ExpressVPN without repercussions.
>Wasn’t it revealed recently that one of their higher ups was helping places spy on users or something like that it was a while ago and other things have taken my attention lol
That's a pretty poor summary IMHO.
Daniel Gericke, currently Chief Information Officer on ExpressVPN, was once upon a time an US Intelligence employee. He is one of many people like him who joined Project Raven, which was an espionage project run by the United Arab Emirates from 2016-2019. During that time Project Raven was involved in a bunch of intelligence gathering and cyber crime stuff. It's an interesting thing to read up about, because it's basically the toppest-level of that kind of stuff that there is a lot of public knowledge on.
Gericke is one of three people who made a deal with the US government once Project Raven was blown open. As part of that he had to renounce and foreign security clearances, was barred from any future US clearance, and paid $300,000 in fines. And is presumably watched so closely these days that spooks in multiple companies know when he is going to fart before he does.
He is also entirely the type of person you bring on to your commercial sybersecurity or security-adjacent company. This is a guy who seriously knows his shit. The whole "working for a foreign agent" part means I quite likely wouldn't enjoy his company, but these are the people security companies try their best to employ. And it's not like this is part of some secret espionage plan: the man is burned. He's never going to be not under scrutiny again, but that doesn't bar commercial work.
There’s also more than one VPN out there so if Warner finds it damaging enough they have enough money to not only cut ties to ExpressVPN (even if that does mean breaking a contract) and at the same time obtain a new VPN sponsorship instantly.
No. I loved the episode too, but the Texas/Wisconsin frequencies are because both states have a Rusk County.
I live in the Southeastern United States, so depending on where you are the stores might differ.
I got the shadow box at Michaels. I got lucky and it was on sale for $32.50 as opposed to the normal $60. I got the blacklight strip on Amazon. It has adhesive on the back so I just ringed the inside of the frame as close to the outside as possible to spread the light. I used a 5/8 spade bit to drill a hole through the bottom for the power cord to come through. I might could have used a smaller bit but I was airing on the side of caution.
I feel like one of the skins from the Moana skin pack would be perfect for Alfredo possibly Maui or The Village chief

The article you linked even says don't jump the gun yet lol. It's certainly news to be aware of but it's all speculation whether it leads to anything bad moving forward. It's also worth noting that cyber security is often ran by ex-cyber criminals. The only "expert" I've seen come out and say don't use ExpressVPN based on this news is Edward Snowden who (regardless of your feelings on him) is a cyber criminal.
The best advice regarding VPNs I've seen is if you're super worried about your security because you deal with very sensitive info for a living, then build your own VPN. If you just want a vpn to add another layer to your personal cyber security then a commercial one is fine and Express hasn't done enough to ruin that trust anymore than other commercial VPNs have.
Ultimately only you can decide what protection you need, it isn't RT's job.
That's not what the person I replied to was claiming. They were claimung the CIO of ExpressVPN was selling ExpressVPN user data to the UAE. I know about the CIOs history of hacking, it's common practice for a cyber security company to hire former hackers.
If youre interested in playing the game at home but dont want multiple people to buy the game there exists the same thing in physical form. Its called Telestrations (like "Telephone", but with "illustrations"). I played it years ago with some friends and when I saw what Gartic Phone was I remembered this.
