I looked that up after reading your comment & there you go, I never knew that.
Hi friend. I was vegetarian for 5 years, then last summer I got tricked into going vegan. I was being ridiculously meticulous with my micro-nutrients, using cronometer.com, making sure to hit 100% of every essential vitamin and mineral. After only 3 months, I had very low energy and a generally shitty mood. I started having insatiable cravings for eggs. I decided to eat some and almost immediately felt better. I started watching youtube videos of ex-vegans, and at that point I had begun to realize humans need animal products, but was still stuck with the idea that it was wrong to kill animals for food. I continued to eat two eggs a day and began taking a fish oil supplement. The fact that the fish oil came from would-be-discarded parts of the fish made me feel like I was "recycling". Then I started drinking bone broth and putting collagen peptides my smoothie. Collagen and bone broth contain the amino acid glycine, which is very difficult to get on a vegan diet. They were also made from bones and joints, so I again, I felt like I was recycling.

Soon after all of this I started thinking about how painful natural death is: cancer, arthritis, heart disease, etc, and that even if all the cattle were released to go live vegan-fantasy lives in the pasture, they will still die a horrible painful natural death. Then I started eating meat again. The first meat I ate was grass fed organic beef. I just seared the outside and the inside was completely raw. It went down so easy, and was the easiest thing I've digested in the past 6 years. I kind of doubt starting with eggs, fish oil, and collagen was the reason for that, but you could always take that route if you're interested.
Did some more digging for the lovely brigaders.
Red meat contains very high quantities of iron when absorbed better by our bodies from its heme source, when compared with plant origin foods. 100 grams of Liver contains 6000 mcgm of iron as against 325 mcgm in 100-grams of carrots.
Another note is the phosphorus content present in meat gets much more easily absorbed than that present in cereals and legumes. This is owing to the fact that cereals and legumes contain phosphorus, usually in the form of phytic acid that must be hydrolyzed before absorption.
You should read The Vegetarian Myth by Lierre Keith. (Link has a preview.)
He’s right but his solution being raw veganism is absolutely wrong.
EAT RAW MEAT, JUST DO IT. LOOK UP AAJANOUS VONDERPLANTIZ AND RAWMEATEXPERIMENT
Carolina Gold Nuggets Microwave Pork Rinds 8 ounce bag Keto and Paleo Friendly
I don’t know if you can get these or something similar in your country, but they’re fantastic. Two ingredients, low calorie, crunchy and warm, and they puff up in the microwave like popcorn so a small handful turns into a big bowl.
OP I think you have some confusion regarding animal fats. I'd like to recommend a book for you to read The Dietitian's Dilemma I read this book last year and learned a lot about misconceptions regarding animal fats. She also talks about her own experiences with ED. I wish you good luck and good health
Oh god, yea I know that tool from youtube, doesn't surprise me at all. That reminds me of another story, seriously nothing can top this bridezilla's weight based wedding dress code hahaha.
Ugh you're right. The person who posted this said they cook for "more than a dozen people" so they seriously need to be buying the big sheets of nori packed in one thin film package like this.
And also seaweed is grown on mollusk shells so not vegan at all....
With regards to pigs, it turns out that pigs being "unclean" was not why they were considered taboo. But don't take it from me. There is a fascinating and enlightening book about the pig, and if you are interested in how they have been used in human history, then this book is a delight:
