https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F3Q784X/ I got 5 of these for under 8 bucks and they work well. for outside. I then replaced the magnet with a larger one for my outside gates.
If you're interested in Home Assistant save yourself some money on the Aqara Hub and buy yourself the Sonoff Zigbee Stick. You'll need to plug it into a computer of some kind which you can leave running, depending on what you already have around there's almost certainly an install method (just do yourself a favour and skip "Supervised"). If you get stuck on anything pop into the Home Assistant Discord (linked on their website) and folks will give you a hand :)
The reason I'd recommend doing this is primarily that each Zigbee hub (Aqara, IKEA, etc.) only pairs with its own devices (with the exception of Hue, but they did try to take that away once)—but this will work with any Zigbee device. So you can buy a Hue bulb, the Aqara blind motor, the IKEA air purifier and they'll all work together.
I had the same question. I’ve been testing one of these for two weeks as a router to an Aqara temperature sensor and it’s working perfectly. Works perfectly as a smart plug, too. I’m using Zigbee2MQTT, if it matters.
I don't really use the Aqara app, but I have a few Third Reality Zigbee smart plugs I got for $7/. Not sure if you can connect them to whatever home management system you're using.

They make 6 inch long power extension cables. Just plug those in and hang your plugs off to the side.
not been out of stock for ages, still in stock today https://www.amazon.co.uk/Aqara-Requires-Rechargeable-Compatible-Assistant/dp/B097YFL7RS
I think I know what you are saying.
In my house I just have the 2 wires with no neutral. I use these. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B081ZQWX1F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
That’s a cool idea. But the magnet needs to be really flat against the window so it doesn’t collide when opening it on either side, I guess something like this would work right? https://www.amazon.es/dp/B078WM4BJM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_XKGS5F7ZV5J3B27YN0WY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
But my question is, I would need to put the sensor facing directly to the magnet right? So I would need to stick it on its side rather than on its back.
Lutron Caseta Motion Sensor |... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084CMPWST?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Same hub for Serena Shades as Caseta I believe. (The photo you loaded was Lutron Maestro. Those are not smart. Caseta is the smart stuff.

ok - so that's in stock too?
My bad! Thanks for pointing that out. The camera I'm having trouble with is this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08F2DBP3Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Looks like an older unit. I'll see if I can append my original comments. Thanks for the correction!
We're happy to let you know that the newly-announced Aqara Roller Shade Driver E1 is now available on Amazon.fr. The retrofit smart roller shade solution landed on Amazon UK in late September, and has received positive feedbacks from consumers and users. Like other Aqara products, our Amazon.fr store ships the Roller Shade Driver not only within France, but also around the European countries covered by the Amazon network.
To celebrate the launch, Aqara now offers a 10% discount for the Roller Shade Driver E1 on Amazon.fr with the promo code: AMAZONFRRSD, and the offering will be valid through
Question for those who might have bought this - does anybody know if it works with a joining link to shorten a beaded chain?
Link this thing: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09B7VMJ9Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_0C186K7C4YV8QBDQZR65?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
When the sensor is on the floor of the shower, it does not get a chance to dry quickly. So, the thing you have to do is to find a way to continually bleed water from under the sensor as fast as possible. You can try a few things:
Instead of placing the sensor on the floor, place it in a plastic dish, with holes in the bottom, on a bench in the shower such that the water is always draining from underneath it. I've used a plastic lid, with lots of holes in it. It takes some experimentation to get right.
Connect a rain sensor to the water sensor: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DK29K28/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . Place the Aqara water sensor in a box so that it doesn't get wet and place the rain sensor at an angle so that the water drains fast from it.
Alexa has the ability to create routines based on the state of the security system as well. See this image of how it's implemented in Abode: https://imgur.com/a/pHCdx7a . However, Aqara has not exposed their security system to Alexa to do this. I filed a bug on this, so hopefully, it will be implemented soon.
But with that said, Alexa does not have a way to create a routine when the alarm is triggered. That's why I came up with the smart plug idea.
As for a siren, you can use something like this:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0152JC35S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . Connect the wires to a power supply that has a plug and that should work.
From the (US) amazon page:
"Note: Requires the Aqara Hub M2 or M1S to work*. Requires a secured 2.4 gigahertz Wi-Fi network connection. *The integration of Aqara Camera Hub G2H is currently unavailable for Apple HomeKit."
The TVOC sensor won't pair/work with the G2H camera as the hub, and you must use one of the two specified hubs; even though the G2H is marketed as a standalone hub on its own. Am I reading that correctly?
No, I’m referring to this - https://www.aqara.com/cn/productDetail/d24.
Regarding transformers, there are many choices on Amazon, but here’s one I got - LED Driver 60 Watts https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MZP9247/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_5TH14N2EE7B9RPNWEPV8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I just picked up the m2 hub from Amazon (US). If I was starting from scratch I would have bought the bundle of m2 hub plus three water sensors:
https://www.amazon.com/Aqara-Sensors-Wireless-Detector-Automation/dp/B09714P7S4/
Then in your situation I would buy the rest of the sensors wherever the best deal could be had.
No, but it kinda looks like one. It’s an actual outdoor camera hood: Universal Sun Rain Shade Camera Cover Shield for Nest/Ring/Arlo/Dome/Bullet Outdoor Camera - White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MBDBMBB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_o1B9FbVA7SE4S
Thanks!
It only sticks to itself, so when you wrap it around it adheres to the first layer. You can cut it off and leaves no residue. Commonly used for temp plumbing solutions so should be pretty darn water tight.
I did the sensor and the magnet. I then hot glued them to my fence. I'll report back if it fails. So far so good.
Thanks for the info... that's unfortunate. The Amazon title on this product is pretty misleading.

But the M2 and M1S hub are vaporware, at least in the US. Until they actually are available to purchase we are limited to the regular Aqara hub, which is advertised at 32 supported devices.
That's what my question is about specifically, the actually available Aqara hub product. (Though now that I check it's not currently available, looks like supply chain issues, it is as part of the starter kit.)
Aqara Smart Wall Switch (No Neutral, Single Rocker), Requires AQARA HUB, Zigbee Switch, Remote Control and Set Timer for Home Automation, Compatible with Alexa, Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081ZQWX1F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_6tisFbA6Y6ZDM
It's brand new never used/installed. Ask for $150 + shipping from SF bay area O.B.O.

By the way this is a mortise lock so you would need special tool to install it if you are doing DIY. I found some reasonably priced mortise lock installation kit on amazon, for example: https://www.amazon.com/Mophorn-Mortice-Fitting-Cutters-Mortiser/dp/B07KVVGZL2
You need their hub. Unfortunately Aqara official amazon store doesn’t sell the hub alone. Only in a starter kit.
Aqara SHSK-T01 Smart Starter Kit, Zigbee Connection, Local Alarm System, Home Automation, Remote Monitor and Control, 5-Piece, Works with Apple HomeKit, White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WN3KR2Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Kwz8EbKM8BMHQ
Which is crazy not what you need. Ask them over on the /r/Aqara dub and see if they have a link to just the hub. Otherwise you’re looking at eBay or aliExpress and weeks of ship time.
Does this hub work with the mihome cameras? I have some sensors that trigger the cameras to record. The mihome hub and app does this. It currently doesnt seem like the aqara app allows for adding these cameras. The camera: https://www.amazon.com/Security-Xiaomi-Wireless-Surveillance-Monitor/dp/B074G2SJTX
I am using this skill https://www.amazon.com/Lumi-United-Technology-Co-Ltd/dp/B07FNFMJ64
Given my bulbs and sensors are working with Alexa, I expected Smart plugs to work as well.

Reading the comments - it's definitely problem with their servers or synchronisation:
