Hey. Brand new person to both crypto, Ark and Reddit. Just taking the opportunity to say hi to the community before going back to lurking. Thinking about going in for Ark as my first tentative steps in this world. I'm also on Steemit because I'm a bit of a creator, but I'm following and upvoting the Ark profile over there too: https://steemit.com/@arkecosystem
Lots to take in, and I'll now return to lurking and reading! Apologies if I've broken protocol in any fashion.
I'm not usually one for signs from above, but..
I randomly picked up the book, The Richest Man in Babylon, and not only is the main characters name Arkad, but his secret to wealth is dividend paying assets. Hmmm
I completely agree that it should be the alt of choice, but we need more coverage.
I'd advice that everyone from the community get spreading the word as much as possible so Ark is at the top of the wider cryptocurrency communities mind when the time comes.
Ark has so much going for it that other alts don't that it's not a hard sell.
I've just posted this today, but am going to be campaigning a lot. https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@cryptomagic/ark-if-you-re-going-to-hodl-why-not-earn-more-altcoins
Exciting! I wonder if there will be integrated workflow automations to different applications? Something like Zapier, which can translate activity from one web app to another. It could help to reinforce the "Point.Click.Blockchain" slogan.
Both NEO and GAS are coins associated with the NEO network. Here is an article that can explain it better than I can but for the sake of this post, holding the NEO coin generates the GAS coin.

Integrating with Rosetta should increase the chance of being listed on Coinbase.
"Blockchains with completed or in-progress Rosetta Implementation: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dfinity, Cardano, Filecoin, Celo, Mina, NEAR, NEO, Tron, Handshake, Oasis, Cosmos, Decred, Ontology, Sia, Zilliqa, Digibyte, Harmony, Kadena, Nervos, Blockstack, Harmony, AVA, Waves, Iotex, VeChain, Syscoin, Horizen, Elrond "
Note: While this might look like it has the right intentions the OP is spamming this to all alt-coins as the registration is using his/her referral, the OP stands to make 50% commission out of all your trading fees if you use the referral. If you're uncomfortable with the intentions of the OP but want to sign up then you can use this link here https://www.binance.com/register.html where no one receives commission.
I made a similar post the other day about ARK being 99% traded on Bittrex currently and how this "single point of failure" issue could affect the project and us as investors, given that Bittrex is located in the US and that the US SEC is doing a crypto crack down now.
Still no official reply from the ARK team... Yes it does affect how much I will invest in ARK, until it gets on more exchanges for market redundancy and diversification.
The big question is does DPoS pass or fail the Hewie test. https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@basiccrypto/which-cryptocurrencies-will-be-regulated-by-the-sec-cftc
It is nice to see the price bouncing around $2 US for the coin after having it wallow under a quarter for way too long. But yes, it is frustrating that there is no easy way to buy or sell in the US. Although I have never completed a trade, it appears that changelly.com can convert between ark and btc, so maybe there is a way for US investors to buy and sell indirectly? I also was trying to find a way to communicate with my delegate and could not figure it out. So I voted for a new delegate who shared a discord handle and my previous delegate fell off the top 51 - oops. I have always thought that Ark is an amazing way to do things and still believe that it has a future. Hopefully interest will continue to blossom over the coming months and years as more people get involved with crypto.
Well, a pin number with 6-8 digits would be easily crackable. 12 Word passphrase is very safe. Try out this website and see how unsecure a pin number with 6-8 digits would be for accessing the wallet and transactions:
If that doesn't work, try using my free transactions node as a peer just to see if you get a green cloud: http://freetransactions.ark.land - I say this because that node runs on port 80 instead of port 4001, which isn't blocked by most firewalls. Remember to restart your wallet after changing peers. Then, if you do get a green cloud on the wallet, it means your firewall or antivirus is blocking you from accessing the Ark network on port 4001. From there, try using a VPN, it will most likely work. TunnelBear is a free VPN (I'm not affiliated with them in any way) that you could try. Good luck!
If you don't want to sign in to Binance to check if withdrawal is open, you can check the api. https://www.binance.com/assetWithdraw/getAllAsset.html
ctrl+f ---> ark.io
if "enableWithdraw" is set to true, then then you can withdrawal.
As of now, 1pm cst, it is set to false. :(
As promised
Do get on Steemit man. You write good stuff, so I'm sure you'd do well blogging there. It can take a few days to get the account, but worth it once you do.
I think it's the start of the next wave of big interest and investment. Institutional investors will be taking some profits at $10k on BTC, so shortly after it reaches that I'm expecting it to fly again. I've done some very high level analysis and a bit of a write up here
The technical analysis (TA) done by @hajin on steemit shows a very good upside to Ark. I suggest to everyone to go and check it out, and he is an excellent TA who explains Elliot Waves and Fibonacci very well. https://steemit.com/ark/@haejin/ark-coin-analysis-the-ark-of-wealth-seeks-to-make-a-covenant-with-you-target-usd16
Why retype it, that's the second article that comes up right after a medium article published by a skycoin team member.
Whether it's legit or not, the crap that was pulled with the "COO" comments are concerning.
https://thenextweb.com/hardfork/2018/02/15/anatomy-of-a-cryptocurrency-scam-in-the-wild
That was the top result, but nearly every other result shows different. Plus that article on medium was written by a skycoin team member... and it was edited. It used to talk about Stephens never being a part of the team.

www.binance.com has the cheapest trading fees on the market. I personally just use the official Ark wallet and it's always served me well. Make sure you vote for a delegate and collect those dividends!
Should of made a text post maybe.... I want to contribute so Ark and since I once did an entry for a competition, I made this with Krita for you folks.

Thanks man! I'm updating my steemtit blog with results as I go if it helps give you some insight. https://steemit.com/@cryptomagic
Hopefully they will keep adding coins and get more volume (asides from hopefully not going under! lol)
Hey there~
The mod for dark mode works just perfect for the windows version, I love it and thanks a lot for your hard work.
What I mean for Franz is this: https://meetfranz.com/
This app gets you a lot of... messaging and whatnot stuff into one client, I believe this is chromium based. I was wondering on -how- to actually apply something like your mod to Franz but to be honest I was trying to find by myself and couldn't do it for the life of me.
ledger is the best option but if you want to just hold onto the keys yourself, something like this is also just as good.
the silver ones will also allow for an explosive charge inside if the password is wrong 10 times that fries the memory chip physically to prevent bruteforce
OMG out of curiosity I came to search lisk here, wow you really don't know what ARK or even lisk. Your pulling these points out of thin air.
Lisk don't have a mobile wallet in site? But ark haven't released a wallet either?
Tell what this is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mrv.liskgdt.wallet
And regarding ARKs 10 SDKs have a completely different use case compared to lisk. The so called SDKs of ark communicate with the blockchain which are more or less APIs. Which lisk already done in languages of Python, PHP and Swift, all from delegates. But lisk didn't call it SDKs because the actual SDK is for developing sidechains.
And you say it's going to take years and years for things to develop. But YOU HAVEN'T EVEN USED IT.
THIS IS CLEAR FUD. Seems to me only one moron here.
