Skin type: Dry, with relatively frequent fluctuations into dehydration. Prone to flushing and redness.
Occlusives: I've tried Vaseline, Aquaphor, Cerave Healing Ointment, and TCFS Pumpkin Sleeping pack. Unfortunately, every single one of them has caused a bad reaction (flushing and itching with the first three, hives with the TCFS).
Unfortunately, it seems that my skin reacts poorly to many common ingredients in occlusives, including petroleum jelly, honey, olive oil/squalane, and phenoxyethanol.
I'm going to buy this beeswax, castor and coconut oil-based jelly and the Gekka Sleeping Pack on my next Amazon haul purchase, and hope that my skin likes them better.
For me, when I use an occlusive (stick it out through the itching) I wake up with significantly more hydrated, soft and smooth skin. My moisture barrier becomes stronger and my skin unlikely to become dehydrated from cleansing or actives. Any acne or wounds become less likely to scab, and heal faster and without as much resulting PIH.
Unfortunately, I've decided that the increased irritation and redness on my cheeks isn't worth it, so I am not using occlusives right now until I purchase some new ones to try. In the future, I also want to try a variety of oils such as jojoba, argan, and tsubaki added to my final moisturizing step to give a bit of additional occlusive property to both my daytime and nighttime routine.
Has anybody tried the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask? Link.
I'm looking for some kind of nice moisturizing treatment for my lips & came across this product on Amazon before I even knew it was AB (thought it was French... for obvious/understandable reasons, I think, lol).
I guess my questions about it are pretty basic: has it worked for you? Does it rub off easily (is the consistency thick or thin)? Does it taste weird? Does it sit on your lips all night or does it sink in easily?
Would love to hear your thoughts - thank you!
WHAT I BOUGHT Kose Softy Mo Deep Cleansing Oil
Seller: Amazon with Prime shipping
Experience: Honestly was too easy to buy! got prime shipping so ordered it the other night and it should be here tomorrow
Reasons why products were bought: I am almost out of my Banila CIZ and I'm going out of town this weekend so I needed a replacement ASAP
What I bought
Isntree Aloe Soothing Gel Moist
Seller: Credithink
Experience: Since I bought it from Amazon Prime, it was super-easy and the product should be arriving very shortly. I'll update if I have any issues.
Reasons why products were bought: I actually wanted to buy Isntree's Green Tea Toner, but it seems to be sold out absolutely everywhere, so I settled on this as my second choice. I've been wanting to try an aloe-based product for a while, and my routine is finally pared-down enough that I finally felt I could fit another product in.
Hada Labo Shirojyun Lotion Moist optional
Seller: Mayuko Shop
Experience: It hasn't arrived yet so I can't comment on the experience, but I chose this seller because it was offered via Prime, which means it'll definitely arrive before Christmas. If I repurchase, I'll probably go with one of the less-expensive sellers that ships from Japan.
Reasons why products were bought: I've been wanting to try a Shirojyun product for a long time, but felt I couldn't justify it since I already had Benton Snail Bee filling the arbutin-based slot in my routine. Unfortunately, with Snail Bee's reformulation, it's just another niacinamide product, and I already have more than enough of those. Hada Labo to the rescue! I plan to use it in addition to Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium.
I've purchased this umbrella on Amazon and it really is for one person. It's small but fits into a medium-large pocket, and really blocks out sunlight.

Personal notes/thoughts:
I haven't seen a lot of talk about this one and the amazon page only has 2 reviews. First of all I want to say that this has a VERY fragrant perfumey/floral scent that is kind of overwhelming when you first put it on. Also, I notice that this sunscreen is a little bit like long-wear foundation in that you have to be quick putting it on or the texture will be uneven because it dries down very fast.
It leaves a little bit of a white cast, mostly just on my nose for some reason. It also contains alcohol, but it doesn't dry out my skin. It feels very lightweight. It got a little chalky when I wore BB cream containing titanium dioxide over it but I haven't tested it out with any other makeup.
Here's the cosdna entry. It's a bit old and incomplete, but I can't find a list of ingredients anywhere else.
I got these from Amazon UK (acrylic drawers for A4 paperwork) and stack 4 piles of sheet masks in each individual drawer. Perfect size! Each pile also can fit 8 sheets (give or take) which is usually what I get in a box. With one of these 3-tier drawers I can store 12 types of sheet masks (or 90ish in total), which makes it easy to find the ones I wanna use every night. I think letter trays can work the same too, such as this one from ikea.
Thanks for the screen shots - that's looks a bit different but mostly as intended.
Our theme has slightly smaller font size than the reddit default/subs with no custom CSS. It does however look like it's displaying for you with standard Helvetica instead of Helvetica light which we've used for the sub as you can see here. We did have one other Mac user have an issue with how the font displayed but in their case it was very tall and skinny. I will have to have a closer look at everything.
In the mean time, and if you prefer the standard reddit formatting you could instaff the reddit plugin - Reddt Enhancement Suite - or RES for short. This will give you the option to "opt out" of subreddits with custom CSS and allow you to view everything with the standard theme.
You can get it from Amazon JP here.
I am not sure I trust CosDNA, as it is done by people. Mostly it is good but I see things I know are wrong for these lines. From what I read teh Red Alpha line is not all that great. It's a tiny amount of reinyl palmitate. There is a new pink version of the Alpha line, but the Red is still sold on Amazon..
No problem at all, got it on Amazon JP. It's eligible for global shipping there. Here have a link, because searching on there can be tricky.
I know, it's REALLY hard to not buy online when the price is so much better. Environment aside, I have to remind myself what companies like Amazon stand for and what it means for the economy labor, and human rights....That aside.
No, the bidet attachment I have isn't like the Korean/Japanese toilets. It's a heldhand one (more like the ones used in places like Vietnam). It looks a bit like this It attaches to your existing water line so it's chilly but not horribly so. There are also ones that attach via your sink waterline so you can adjust the temperature of the water but this doesn't work with my bathroom setup. And yes, you can just dry with a towel after. I actually have taken all of my friends empty babywipe boxes and filled them up with reusable tissues and I have one I use specifically for the bathroom. The cool thing about it is, the water pressure is adjustable and it can be used for other things like hosing down dirty shoes, watering plants, cleaning, etc.
You can also put a tag on your mailbox requesting 'no flyers' or 'junkmail' but if you do receive that stuff, know that you can use it for stuff like seed pots or compost bedding!
Has anyone used the site Cosmetics Now? I'm trying to find SNP UV Perfect Air Cool Sun Gel SPF 50+ PA ++++ and they have the cheapest price. The site is secure. I didn't see it mentioned on any of the Asian Beauty subs. This site has [reviews] l(https://www.trustpilot.com/review/buy.cosmeticsnow.co.uk) which mention lots of shipping issues but no mention of fakes. Thanks!
Yeah I did notice how some of the flairs are the same colour which has got to be hard to keep straight. I still think it’s looking great though!
Have you checked out ColourLovers for palettes? I used them a lot when I did webdesign.
Oh, now that's weird. On the Amazon photo it's clearly 50%!
Maybe some of the photos are fake stock photos, or maybe there was a reformulation at some point?
You'll have to let me know what the actual package itself says when it arrives!
I've seen the price raising happening a few times on ebay after a product was mentioned on reddit somehwere.
Here it is on Amazon JP. How much did you pay for it on ebay? When someone I know first found it the ebay price was much much higher already than the AJ price, but that was a year ago I think.
Item: Keep Cool Soothe Bamboo Toner
Price: US$18 for the 160ml (US$0.11 / ml), lasted me 6.5ish months
Purchased From: K-beauty pop up store in my area; also available on Amazon via their official shop and YesStyle
Short Review: A scentless, easy-to-apply and quick-to-sink-in hydrating toner. With its several molecular weights of hyaluronic acid and with polyglutamic acid (which holds more hydration than hyaluronic acid), I certainly noticed a bounce to my skin and plumped up my sunken-type eyebags. This product both convinced me to keep hydrating toners in my routine and to continue to try more Keep Cool products, in addition to the Keep Cool product samples I had received with my purchase.
Additional Features:

EDIT: added length of time it lasted me
Not really AB or non AB, but really like nilotica shea butter, especially [this one](https://www.amazon.com/Organic-Shea-Butter-Fair-Trade-Replenishes/dp/B0732K9T9B/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=nilotica+shea&qid=1557344997&s=gateway&sr=8-1). I like it because hard texture like cold butter and then melts. Also like shea oil. I have really dry skin and eczema and it's been helping.
A lot depends on the shades. The lighter shades are going often glittery. I notice in general.
The PONY I have was this, so it ways it's cool toned-tonned matte brown. It's not super dark though, so I like it on the bottom. They sell a mix of matte and shimmery shades. There are some ligher matte ones that might work for you. Not cheap though.
Yeah I've read that in so many reviews for the Etude House one I think. Also be aware that Secret Key has two kinds (maybe one is a reformulation, not sure)
The one I use: https://www.yesstyle.com/en/secret-key-tattoo-eye-brow-tint-pack-4-colors/info.html/pid.1050883889
The other one that's called Self Brow: https://www.amazon.com/SECRET-KEY-Tattoo-Beautynet-Korea/dp/B01GJ2AWI2
I don't know how the other one performs, but the Tattoo Eye Brow Tint Pack just fades and gets lighter, but still stays its cool dark brown tone.
I like those too. Has a lovely feel and lack of scent is apprecieanted. I like the chapstick/lipstick style packaging. They are thin so fit easily in a purse. Good point about switching out. They have a new *DHC Extra Moisture Lip Cream:* I ordered it but it hasn't come. Both have such nice ingredients - lanolin, olive, ginseng, licorice. The new one as a few extra.
Is this the sunscreen you're referring to? The one in the white bottle? You said they say it's a serum texture and this one says milk so I wanted to double check
Sounds like swapping would be best. Looking at what's available on Amazon, I'd be interested in trying the Wonjin masks you suggested above, Leaders honey skin soft mask, or some Papa Recipe. I know the Papa Recipe are super popular, but I've only tried one variety :)
