I like my Clarisonic, I don’t love it as much as I used to, but I don’t want it to go to waste so have decided to order a few final brush heads.
Stock in Australia is super limited and not on sale. I just ordered two brush heads from Current Body and placed another order for my favourite Amazon knockoff brush heads (this is the second time I’ve ordered them, they’re great).
I bought mine off Amazon AU. I paid $19 for mine and free shipping, but just found 3 for $23. Here's the link: https://www.amazon.com.au/Pomada-Azufre-Sulphur-Ointment-Cream/dp/B0070Y8V0A/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?keywords=de+la+cruz+sulfur&qid=1555502501&s=gateway&sr=8-2
I have and use the Eco tools one - link. Is soft but firm, has dense bristles, easy to use and a decent price (on sale ATM for $9:90)
Have dry skin and use it for circulation and exfoliation. Works well for me. :)
Can’t speak to interaction with climbing and calluses from active use, but as someone who has struggled with nasty rough heels and toes for ages, I finally found and am now OBSESSED WITH and a nightly user of this unicorn stick:
Miracle Heel Stick with Pure UltraAloe Aloe Vera Gel | 2.5 ounce stick (1 Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004R6OTI2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_czH.Fb2J5TWW8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I had tried a bunch of different lotions, oils, balms, etc. and none were a match for my superhumanly nasty feet. I will never stop using this stuff.
There are lots of good suggestions of things to put on your nose, but I wonder do you ever flush your sinuses? I have extremely dry sinuses, and what I found worked for me was using a sinus rinse bottle like this one with a 1/4-1/2 tsp of xylitol added to the included mix. You can also get ones that have the xylitol added already but they are slightly more expensive. I've also done it with an added drop or two of grapefruit seed extract which helped clear up mild sinus infections but I can't make any medical claims about it. After you are done you can apply whatever barrier cream or ointment you decide on to help lock in the moisture.
If you find ibe op- let me know:) I have tried so many and the least shiny spf, that isn't white cast giving, is probs the Mecca to save face spf. But I still find I need to powder over it too, as it still makes me glowey. Ands it kinda too expensive for that size of spf.
I've tried many many many Asian beauty sunscreens like the biore watery essence, the missha one etc.. still mad shiny. The LaRochePosay anti-shine, was possibly the only "actually kinda matte" spf I've tried - but it leaves a strong white cast on my light-medium, olive poc skin. Similar white cast to the anessa sunmilk, which is a supposed k-beauty matte holy grail.
Currently I am using the beauty of josean spf- which is the current super adored/ hyped up skinfluencer "matte" sunscreen. It is still glory on me. I need to powder over to wear it - so that's what I do. (It also leaves a slight blue-white white cast, so I assume it has titanium dioxide low in its ingredients like the LRP antishine had).
In short, I'd recommend Mecca to save face, I'd your budget allows a 30$ spf. But if you're like me, you likely might still need to powder, so an alternate brand that is a smidge cheaper or easier to buy might be just as good once powdered.
(I currently use the maybelline "matte maker" pressed powder or the maybelline lasting fix loose matte setting powder. And I usually take some powder and a brush with me, to touch down the shine later in the day. )
This is my niche!!! I’ve tried them all it seems. My favorite burger ones: ELF Holy Hydration Cleansing Balm
And
If you are just looking for a basic sunscreen I would check out the aveeno sensitive skin sunblocks they are super affordable and do the job well.

If you're focused on having a product that has at least 10% Glycolic acid and 2% Salicyclic acid, QRx have Acne Control Pads that contain those ingredients with the same concentration. Currently they cost $21.00 AUD on Amazon AU: https://www.amazon.com.au/Glycolic-Salicylic-Allantoin-Vitamins-Calendula/dp/B07JR3QF3T/ref=mp_s_a_1_9?crid=37C9E1H2SMERP&keywords=10+glycolic+2+salicylic&qid=1661568355&sprefix=10+glycolic+2+salysilic+%2Caps%2C963&sr=8-9
Again, these are only pads not a gel like the peel booster product you are referring to.
Nivea Water Gel. https://www.amazon.com.au/Nivea-Protect-Super-Water-Japan/dp/B00SM997I2
It's not the cheapest but it dries down to NOTHING and I find that I actually use it because despise the feeling of suncreen.
Bindi Sands sells via Amazon.
Bondi Sands Fragrance Free Sunscreen Body Lotion SPF 50 | Hydrating Broad Spectrum Protection, Sheer, Water Resistant, Reef Friendly* | 5.07 Oz/150 mL https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Q7CP5NL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_9AQ3ED4PYZPG4BKGJBQY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I use cocoa butter lip balm I get off Amazon. It’s amazing and the only thing I’ve been able to stick with for years. [cocoa butter lip balm](//www.amazon.com/dp/B00I813CUS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_T2N3TKDG9E1YG1ANYQHJ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1)
Ok …… also found macadamia nuts for 8 dollar on Amazon.au, Will local stores have it cheaper?
A papaya/pawpaw (same thing) based lip balm will help, but you need one without nasties (No petroleum, no caster oil etc). Lucas is petroleum-based and rubbish. I love p’ure - it’s got all the good stuff and is SO cheap! $2.80 on Amazon at the moment.
I use O'keeffe's foot cream for my feat. My feet isn't dry as yours but it helps me so much.
I bought mine from iherb since they don't sell it in nz, but looks like it is sold in amazon au.
https://www.amazon.com.au/OKeeffes-Healthy-Feet-Foot-Cream/dp/B0002QB9NE
I've heard that before going to bed, putting on foot cream and socks afterwards helps as well.
I’ve had great luck with sunscreen sticks! They’re in solid form and twist up kind of like deodorant so you can just swipe them on throughout the day and don’t have to touch your face with your hands. My favorite is the shiseido clear sunscreen stick (invisible, doesn’t move makeup around, smells good) but it seems harder to get here in Oz (just moved here from the US), however I recently purchased this from Amazon and it works pretty well!
It's a well known and commonly used acid in a lot of East Asian skincare products for a while now, particularly for its mixed and sometimes limited skin brightening results in treating hyperpigmentation (i.e. PIH)
Recently in the past 1-2 years, it has bounced back in the spotlight for its promising potential in managing erythema, inflammation and the underlying transient or persistent redness/flushing from neurovascular dysfunctions of erythematotelangiectatic rosacea.
I seem to get the best results with the serum serum serum, even though I've tried a bunch of alternatives and they were okay, but just not like the foreo serum, you know? I know it's not as practical due to its size though. Maybe the closest thing to it was this
aliexpress will also have a bunch online here; i have a few for travel and they are really great.
I bought this off the back of a lot of great reviews from r/skincareaddiction and the ingredient list. I definitely feel I saw a good amount of pore refining and tightening (very minor but I definitely noticed it) within using it. However, I think overall this doesn't add that much to my routine. It didn't break me out but I also can't comment on any brightening as I use another product which I truly know did the heavy lifting on that front.
I sleep in this and it helps. I also also on one of those chiropractic shaped pillows for side sleepers, which stops my shoulders scrunching in as much.
Mine was this one. I imagine they're all much the same, but I'd absolutely feel the same way about picking one! 😅
(Embarrassing admission: I didn't realize the little different color pads were also different sizes until after I'd struggled through the first eye. That makes a difference, too 😂)
I believe a diffuser is mainly for spreading fragrance throughout the room, whereas a humidifier focuses on increasing the moisture content in the air — so they usually hold a lot more water in order to do this effectively. I recently splurged on this one https://www.amazon.com.au/Humidifier-Environments-Automatic-HU2716-70/dp/B08YQ5SPC3/ and it has done wonders for me! I’ve also used cheaper small humidifiers from Amazon and they also helped a lot (but being cheap they will stop working quickly). Hope this helps
Have you ever tried the patches with the little dissolving "microdarts" that can deliver various different ingredients a bit deeper into the skin?
They look good but I'm yet to find something that isn't super expensive.
I’ve been using Adapalene Gel from acne free. It’s cleared a lot of my acne blemishes and stopped me from getting new breakouts, which are pretty common for me. I haven’t had any dryness or irritation from it, and I have relatively sensitive skin. It used to be prescription only, so definitely be careful when using it and build up to more frequent use over time.
I got mine on Amazon.

Amazon sells a deep exfoliation scrub that’s only meant to be used 1-2x a month cause it’s so strong.
I also use Skinstitute’s Gycolic acid wash on parts of my body and I love how that feels afterwards. This is chemical though.
Alpha skincare is a great brand that nobody is talking about. They are known for their AHA products. Their Renewal body lotion 12% is cheap, moisturizer and affective.
I ordered mine from Amazon.... but that was before I found out that there are fake skincare products there. I lucked out and got the real product.
Take care if you have sensitive skin. This stuff can be quite strong and drying.
I use the DeLorenzo Tricho Range, either the purple or green depending on if you have an oily scalp or not. It is kind of pricey but totally worth it and the cheapest and most reliable place I’ve found is Hair Body Skin, it’s an Australian website as well.
My eczema breaks out behind my ears and on the back of my head and I would have permanent sores now the skin just gets dry/dehydrated, it’s very manageable and hardly noticeable.
I used to use it as my main shampoo and conditioner but now it has cleared up I just use my normal shampoo and conditioner (my current pick is a Shea Moisture set, I got them from Priceline), and use the Tricho shampoo as a second “cleanse”. I massage it on my scalp & behind my ears and gently scratch off the dead skin. And if it’s really bad I go in with a silicone cleansing mitt (I use the one from dermologica, I also got it from Hair Body Skin) behind my ears and a shampoo brush/scrubber on my scalp ( like this one from Amazon). I then follow it up with the matching toner.
Edit: a few little edits
I really like Cos de Baha It doesn’t sting my skin where’s TO’s felt like burning fire on my face 😥 I used Ecological Formula’s for a couple of tubes worth of time, then it started feeling really gritty & burny also.
Edit to fix link
You should be using a teaspoon of broad-spectrum 50+ sunscreen just for your face and neck area, but if that doesn't work, and you don't mind driving around looking a little bit, um... "different"(LOL) then a hat with side visors would definitely solve your problem very cheaply. I did a very quick google and these were the ones that came up first for me: this one from amazon and this one from YesStyle. I'm sure there are slightly less hardcore looking ones if you searched a bit more (although that YesStyle model is kind of rocking the pink covered face look)! Good luck!
I have been using the Skin1004 one for months now and it’s the best physical sunscreen I have ever used for my oily/combination/acne-prone skin. I live in Vietnam so the price is about $11.20, but a quick search on Amazon found me the same amount for $20, so idk if it’s pricey or not, but at whatever price, this is still truly my only ride-or-die
Yeah no worries! Some places do ship faster like Amazon. This is litterally the one I use https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B00809ERAM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_mAK6EbNC36QWK but yeah good luck getting a new oil cleanser :3
okay thank you friend. Btw do you know how to get hydroquinone in australia? I dont want the dr plunket cream, maybe ambi frade cream but its only on amazon us https://www.amazon.com/Ambi-Skincare-Fade-Cream-Normal/dp/B000GD5LY6/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=ambi+fade+cream&qid=1590040567&sr=8-1
Thank you
Hey, I've started using the cosrx aloe sun cream SPF 50 which is a korean brand but you can get it on amazon. i have the same skin type but i've only started using it recently so you can take my suggestion with a pinch of salt. however, since i started using it, i haven't had any obvious irritation. it's very light and smooth and only has a very very very minor white cast when applying. it is quite moisturising so i am still working on finding the right balance between using this and my normal moisturiser tho.
i have heard good things about it so i think it'll be a nice one to try out.
also if you keep have sensitivity in your eyes, take a look to see if any products you are using on your face have synthetic fragrance, fragrant essential oils or alcohol denat. cause those could be contributing to it. (note: the cosrx sunscreen does have some fragrance but it appears to be a small percentage of it)
hopes that helps 😊

I buy this from amazon and it works wonderfully.
I've recently started using this
I feels really thick and kinda tacky when it's applied but BOY does my skin feel great in the morning
Thanks for considering this, here is the Hada labo premium perfect gel
Yeah love heroine mascara, it's truly waterproof! Black is great!
Hold on, my invoice apparently confused me at 5am the other day, and there also appears to be a discrepancy I need to unravel, regarding what I was charged and what I received. I ordered 2 x twin packs. In the twin pack are 2 x 0.35 oz.

I haven't yet tried plain shea butter as an occlusive but I'd really like to next!
The CeraVe is all here so I'll post reviews once I finish testing. I got the one in the tub as I have dry skin and people rave about it. With the pump for hygiene reasons of course!
I got mine off Amazon for around AUD19. Here's the link!
Shipping took a while though. Waited about a month for it to arrive :(
They have been making cerave in the tub with a pump for a long time now. Maybe buy one with a pump and just use the pump-lid for both tubs?
Not sure what product you want, but I regularly buy the Foaming Cleanser from here. I usually buy a few bottles at a time to keep shipping costs reasonable.
No I haven't found it to be drying at all. I use a silicone face scrubber with it, which doesn't work as well with the Dermasukin one since it does foam at all.
I have been using a clinique sample for a week or two just to try it out and my skin has gotten a lot drier since so I'll be going back to Sukin just as soon as I can get to the shops.
I use Elta md. Have to order it on amazon and it isn't the cheapest out there but it is by far the best sunscreen I have found for face daily wear. If you want more detail, there's plenty of reviews on R/skincareaddiction
