I actually saw on their online magazine they sent me via email here that they are opening a bunch of new Mecca Maxima stores and they are bringing out a new website and access to "100+ global brands". I'd love to know what they are.

I use a bento makeup box i got from daiso! it has a mirror on the back of the lid and compartments and it's really easy on the go!

i can't find a picture of it anywhere or online but i got mine during christmas time and its been really handy! i think its probs still available in store at daiso

France is mainly good for skincare I found. Bioderma, La Roche Posay, Nuxe and Avene and for makeup Bourjois. All found in pharmacies and supermarkets (Monoprix). They also have Kiko and Sephora but there's quite a few brands they don't stock compared to US and Aus.

I really like the black-handled Elf brushes, got a set of 10 brushes for around 11 USD but not sure if the set is available in Australia. :/ Someone else mentioned they go for around 8 AUD though.

If you have access to Amazon somehow, I bought the BH Mall brush set a few months back and absolutely love them. A YouTuber I follow also uploaded a video review of them today, oddly enough. She didn't like the angled brow brush but I absolutely adore it.

Most of mine I picked up at Daiso. I have two small acrylic containers that my liquid lipsticks go in and some cute white painted metal stationery organisers for my palettes. I also got a cotton pad dispenser that's really cute too, like this one on aliexpress.

I bought one of these and it holds ALL of my makeup, which is awesome. I don't have a big collection but I had like 3 bags full of makeup which is now in it. Its a bit of work to build it but you feel so satisfied after (or get your partner to do it lol)

I can't say that I'd endorse buying from Amazon, but that's what it looks like.

Mine came from Amazon US they do free shipping over $49. I really liked this company as the product had really good reviews. Plus when it arrived I had a cute hand written note to say who my pillow case was packed by. I wanted to get an Ecosa one but they were sold out, and the Celestial Silk ended up being cheaper.

If you get a silk pillow, get it from a reputable company as some places cheat and post fake momme ratings. There are a heap of sites who do reviews on the pillowcases. A good recommendation for face and hair is 25 momme. (You have less hair frizz when you wake up too) If you are on a budget, you can get a 19 momme pillow case instead. You WILL feel the difference between the two though. I love nuzzling into my pillow at night because it feels so nice on the face.

Jemma Cosmetics - Jemma Tint. One of my first forays into cosmetics. Was this beautiful sheer red lip tint/jelly. I have tried a few to replace it and nothing was ever as good. Sadly they went into administration :(

To make it easier, there's an IFTTT recipe to copy photos from Dropbox to an IOS album - you can set specific folders/albums for both. Just make sure you set up the recipe before you copy the photos into your dropbox.

I was tempted to get Dose of Colours, but their liquid lipstick colours are...kind of boring? If they'd have had like these upcoming sparkle mattes or january release brown shade, I might have braved the line.

I felt better prepared for it the second time around, and it still would have been nice if I'd have gone with someone, but I met a lot of cool people and had a great time, and still managed to get home to have a super relaxing horror movie marathon on my day off work.

That's true, they do look pretty sturdy. But have you tried other press-on brands that aren't like $50? I found this on amazon which kinda looks like a style they sell, so I'll order it and try it out. If it's no good, I'll have to give Glowie a go.

Yes, I found it very difficult. Now I have Revlon Precision Lash Curler and this heated eyelash curler. I use the precision, put on a layer of mascara, then heated, then another layer and done.

Yep I’ve done this as well. For some reason during lockdown I started to get dandruff and I never used to get dandruff even when I travelled to the city 6 days a week. I’ve been using coconut oil with a few drops of rosemary oil (for hair growth) and applying it to my scalp then cover with a shower cap. I also went a bit extra and ordered this microwaveable heat cap which made my hair masks a bit extra and feels like a deeper condition!

I haven’t used the Gina silk turbans, but I personally sleep in this one and I love it. It keeps my from knotting up my hair (I tend to toss and turn) and I don’t need to wash my hair so often.

I had a cheaper one before this and I didn’t find it nearly as effective - I think because it only had one layer of silk, right side facing out.

I think you're going to have the most luck with theatre makeup brands like Ben Nye, Kryolan, Mehron etc. Something like this. You could also get some recommendations by looking up beard cover on Youtube - a lot of drag queens have made videos about it :)

Whatever you do, do not get the Kiss Powerflex Max Speed Nail Glue - it is absolute TRASH. I've been doing glue on nails for 5 years and I bought this as I couldnt find my usual, and all my nails popped off in a day.

My usual is the Kiss Maximum Speed Nail Glue but I can't seem to find it anywhere anymore, it still comes in the Kiss nail packs which is where I get mine but i'm also keen for recs on this.

Don't know if you can order is Australia, but custom fitted whitening trays just like the dentist made is the best way by far. The gel gets in the cracks of your teeth and leaves them superwhite. If you search UV nail lamp on Amazon there are tons of unbranded/random no name brand ones around the $30-$50 mark but they are all Chinese and basically knock offs of SunUV designs, no idea about the quality though personally

I have friends with such cheaper ones and they seem to work fine, just don't buy anything without seeing a picture of the LED distribution across the underside.

Example: bad distribution vs good distribution. The "wattage" directly correlates to how many LEDs it will have underneath

I’ve had the same problem and went from good scissors to clippers and then I realised there’s actually proper podiatrist tools on Amazon. Or at least decent copies. Mine were $21 and great quality and really sharp. I could never go back to clippers or even good scissors again.

I got this one which is a pretty good starter kit, but doesn't include the lamp (I got this one from Amazon also). It looks like the kit is unavailable now, but I think the Modelones one is good too and you can order direct from their website, the shipping is pretty cheap from memory. I bought some gel polishes and more dual forms from them, I found them better than the ones that came in the Sexy Mix kit. I spent AGES watching Youtube tutorials before I tried and it was still hard, my biggest struggle was getting the edges and cuticles to sit flat and not getting air bubbles. Good luck!

I do but like u/claraquesi, I only use Asian Besuty toners. I am loving the Kiku High Moist lotion under m SPF in the morning as I found a straight moisturiser was making it pill. Toners are light and don't feel like they are suffocating my skin. It's also a great way to add a lot of hydration without feeling like you are doing a lot to the skin.

I'm really keen to get my hands on the Hada Labo Premium soon!
