For me what's worked the best is the google Keep app. Since I'm a in-house biomed who does OR/Cath Lab/PACU some days I get a lot of calls and don't document all the work I did. I use the google Keep app now and created a label called work and it's helped a lot. It also keeps all of my work photos from mixing with my personal photos on my phone. During the day I take photos or type notes in my work group label for each repair I did with details. When I get back to my desk I can pull up the Keep app in my chrome browser and document all of my work. If I took photos in the keep app (which is a lot), those photos sync up also which I can then use as well.

[This is what I used.](www.amazon.com/dp/B083GH3L2N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Q6V41G4DCA89ZX2BKFWE) It worked great for what I was doing. I used the “overnight” portion of the bag to carry a canvas bag with tools, some parts, and a few small pieces of test of equipment. It also had a pocket for the laptop and side pockets. Most of the FSEs I encountered in my company picked up the same bag because of how well it worked.

This is what I am getting my guys/girls for their desks. They all have cell phones, head phones, and other doo dads these days. Here's hoping they like it.

I’ve been buying these pens since I retired from the military and was grateful to find them on Amazon. They always work, they go through multiple copies and the pocket clips are tight.

I took all of my tools from my last job like the Wiha set so I will probably leave the ones I’ve be reimbursed.
Here is the set I got. I’m not sure why the price doubled in the past year. I think it was $300 this time last year.

I like Zebra and Pentel gel ink pens. 0.5-1.0 mm sizes. 1.0mm is for signing documents and at the cashiers.
I also use these "pens" very often: https://www.amazon.com/Tungsten-Carbide-Engraver-Stainless-Ceramics/dp/B0819GJWX3/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Tungsten+scribe+pen&qid=1634691253&sr=8-1
I always carry at least one pen, one scriber, USB flash stick, and a small knife on my lanyard.
We have all the Dewalt 20v power tools so we purchased the compatible work light and it's amazing:

For my personal everyday carry, I just use my phone flashlight.
Everyone in our shop has one similar to this.

It's ok but the wheels are cheap/too small so they make too much noise and they can get stuck when getting on/off elevators also if you aren't careful. Also the last one we bought off Amazon was way shorter than we realized so we had to steal some support beams off an old one to make it taller so pay attention to the height of whatever u end up ordering
The book we used was similar to this Technician’s guide to PLCs I couldn’t find a picture of the exact one because it was over a year ago I took the course. PLC is similar to nor, nand, and logic operations but there is more added into it.

Is that like a Klein Non-Contact Voltage Tester to see if the circuit is still hot/energized?
