Mine wouldn't work at all with my Ryzen 7 3800x on a x570 chipset MB. I had to buy a third party PCIe USB hub to connect it to in order to get the computer to recognize it.
Pretty sure THIS is what you need
so this amp will never work because it doesn't have rca ports?
litterally the only connection is that 3.5 port.
I'm considering an active subwoofer to connect the speaker and the connect the sub to the audio interface with a cable like this one:
https://www.amazon.com.mx/Pig-Hog-PD-R1406-Dual-Cable/dp/B017Y468U0/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=rca%2Bto%2B1%2F4&qid=1655170357&sprefix=rca%2Bto%2B1%2Caps%2C269&sr=8-1&th=1
what do you think?
i prefer a subwoofer than just a new amp or buy active studio monitors.
in the computer?, yeah i can do that instead of using the outputs of the interface but the drivers inside the computer mess the thing. I have to use super low buffer sizes with direct x inside ableton so i can listen what i'm doing and record at the same time but after some time and after some channels i start to have noises. If i add latency with higher buffer sizes the noises desapper but the latency became so big that is not functional to listen myself and the song while i'm recording something in the micropone or the interface. I tried with asio4all in the same way but the thing get's worse,
I tried with the splitter and the umc drives and it worked, even the audio is fine with high buffer sizes but in this case i get audio only from one speaker, i don't know if it's because the splitter i have is not the right one.
I saw splitters that goes direct 1/4 L and R to 1 jack 3.5 like this one: https://www.amazon.com.mx/PB-S3410-Stereo-Dual-Breakout-Cable/dp/B017Y33XSG/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=rca+to+1%2F4&qid=1655164761&sr=8-7
but i don't know if i will have the same problem with that cable too and i don't want to buy it just to discover it.
Maybe i need an amp with rca ports and cables and adapters but i don't want to spend into that or into active speakers that are even more expensive, so i'm trying to find someone who can tell me how to do it spending the less money possible.
>I really need to know if I could connect
Yes.
With the proper cable.
>Are there any downsides to doing this?
No, not that i can think of... But it might be helpful to understand what it is you hope to accomplish by doing this...?
I have an UMC202HD.. Time to time I face this issue, the clicking noises go away when I remove the USB cable off of the interface and reconnect it, on a bad day I may have to reinstall the driver.. It's a pain.
If these doesn't fix the problem. You might want to replace the USB B port on the interface.
The soldering is a bit tricky and might need help from a professional. But many issues get resolved with this.
1 - yes, direct thru’ both ‘phones and line outputs 2 - yes 3 - you need 2 mono TS 1/4” plugs to one mono 1/4” eg something like https://www.amazon.co.uk/6-35mm-AUDIO-SIGNAL-SPLITTER-GUITAR/dp/B01F3O6MYK
The 202’ has TRS (balanced) outputs, but there’s no point using balanced cables as that only applies if everything in the chain is balanced, but your amp. Input will not be.Playing PC audio into your amp. Isn’t the greatest idea; a bass amp is not designed to output much treble, so will sound muddy on normal programme audio,
If you want to plug the RD8 into a stereo RCA input on the DJM, or any other mixer with a stereo RCA input, you need Y-Splitter and you need to go into the Line Input on the DJM.
The Phono inputs on the DJM are for just that; Phonographs aka records. There's a preamp in there intended to amplify the Phono signal from a turntable to Line Level so you can hear the record being played. Your RD8 has no such requirement as it's already Line Level. It's likely you are unnecessarily amplifying the RD8 signal causing feedback.
A little way down the page...
Runs on 9 V battery or the Behringer PSU-SB DC power supply (not included)
Almost every guitar pedal made, except the mini ones mostly, runs on a 9V battery. But buy a proper power supply. And save hassle.
I'm a bit confused. You got another cable and it didn't work?
The cable is a USB b printer cable. So if you already got one and it didn't work. Test the USB port on the computer. Check the interface for any damage at connections.
This is the cable. Doesn't need to be exactly this one if you wanna spring for fancy colors or gold plated snake oil for a bit more $. Just needs to be a "USB 2.0 printer cable" with these connections.

You need to install the latest drivers for the interface (ver 4.59) AND also install ASIO4ALL drivers (http://www.asio4all.org/), I recommend ver 2.13.
Having installed those, depending on your DAW, you go to audio settings and it will like have a choice like "Audio device type" and you need to choose ASIO. Then there should be another opcioned called "device" and there you choose UMC ASIO Driver.
After that, you need to open the ASIO control panel, click on the wrench icon for advanced settings and on the left side you'll see a list of all your audio devices. There you can choose the desired inputs and outputs.
Here, I took a screenshot: https://imgur.com/mXiMY4C
Let me know if you can see the picture, and if you have problems setting up the options I can try to help you out.
Hi, Joe from Behringer here. Please ensure you have installed the ASIOALL driver:

This will be recognised as USB AUDIO CODEC. Be aware that this USB output will only submit a stereo mix.
The one /u/doovoodolls recommended is probably great, but I’ve never personally tried any lightning interfaces. Only USB interfaces with dongles.
For your situation, wanting to be as economical as possible, I would try out this one plus a USB/Lightning dongle.
hi, I have the umc22 too and im wondering if this one is good for the outputs
i got a Procraft 2U 9" Deep Equipment Rack...
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CDG8QLI
it's nice, but not if you wanna swap the cables in the back of 1820 a lot...but still $60 USD and it has a handle on it!
> there is no XLR input on the UM-2
when i look at it online on Amazon (link) I see Mic/Line 1 is a combo jack that takes either a 1/4 jack or an XLR
This one Just look at the back of the box - it's taking mains voltage, no wall warts needed.
However, you linked to a UK amazon page - are you in the UK or US? Those speakers are only rated for 120v, not 240 like in the UK - you will fry them without a voltage converter.
