Yes. They will place near the top in any collection of derp material. My girl once did a medium stick-holding, triple-spin-in-place with a stick fling to finish.
More importantly, that signal means something. Boxer is conflicted or unhappy, I think. But an absolutely must-have book for everyone who likes communicating with their dog, and especially for anyone who suspects they may be "missing" something in communication, as I did.
"On Talking Terms With Dogs" by Turid Rugaas
I've been a dogfriend for almost sixty years. This book taught me half a lifetime's more in an hour. If you want to know where the "Dog God" is, she lives somewhere over in Ms. Rugaas' neighborhood.
Sounds like you're doing great! For a 15 mile hike I take about a gallon. She has her own harness backpack that can store water bottles so I don't have to carry it for her.
I love them all. My parents had a fawn boxer earlier sorta like this but without the tail (died when he was 10), and I grew up with him. The great thing about the breed is their personalities. No lack of them either in the current one (the cuddly one) or the previous one. Still, great dogs to have around kids.
Mine does this. I bought a neater feeder. It was a bit pricey, but worth every penny as I no longer have a constant food/ water river running on my floor. Neater Feeder for Dogs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002A2QUAA/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_5tOqub0GD22NG

Saw the lick mat (thumbs up) and would also recommend the snuffle mat. Last time our dog was on restricted activity the vet suggested it and it exhausted him mentally and he slept through the night. We just feed him his regular food using the snuffle mat, so it's not extra calories during the rest periods when they're not exercising.

We have a 55lb boxer and got this one in a large for when it downpours, and this one in xxl for cold days inside/quick trips outside. Neither has a hood but both are washable and have been durable with multiple years of use - especially the plaid/reversible one. She wears that jacket pretty much daily 6 months of the year and is a big baby about rain drops hitting her body so she loves wearing it 😁
If neither of these look interesting try searching amazon for “dog jacket with hood” and then check out the questions and reviews for folks with boxers commenting. That’s how I found mine. Since my boxer is smaller she has odd sizing with a huge chest width and shorter body length. I always make sure to order from sellers with free returns so if the fit doesn’t work out I’m able to return hassle free. Good luck!
For whatever reason, my boxers have all been fine with fireworks, thunder etc. My boxer-lab mix, however, has issues with both. I know my vet is leery of how some sedatives make certain dogs sleepy but no less scared, which is terrifying. I know I have trazodone for this dog, which is supposed to be good for actually relaxing dogs. However, since we started her on Prozac (she nervously chews her legs, which Prozac seems to have fixed), vet doesn’t want us using trazodone w/Prozac. She recommended Zylkene, which is non prescription. I bought it on Amazon (link)
oh nooo :(((
Just as a heads up, I know it's not of my business but maybe you are just unaware. You can get these nose lotions/butter to help sooth their dry nose: https://www.amazon.com/Blissful-Dog-Fawn-Boxer-Butter/dp/B00T85H5NI. If you don't have amazon, maybe check the local stores pretty sure they have something similar.
My boy has his nose like that from time to time (the vet said is due to dried food + saliva). Passing the lotion just for a few days made the crust fell naturally and his nose was like a puppy again.
My boxer recently had foot surgery and we used these rubber boots. They do have mixed reviews but they definitely worked for us and she took to them pretty quickly. We tried the traditional, shorter boots but she got them off rather swiftly. Since these boots were higher they seemed to stay on better (we left them on all day), and they stopped her from slipping on the tile, wood floors and deck. These have free returns at Amazon but there are many other styles from other sellers that also offer free returns, and you can try out to see what works best for your pup.
Also, when our big dog had both her knees replaced we used non slip mats all over the house and a cheap support harness/sling to get her up/down the stairs. They do have better/more padded ones available but we only needed to use ours for a few months and this one was under $20. I liked the ability to Velcro it to my dog and would tuck in the straps so she could pee freely once she could stand on her own. Though she did seem to appreciate the extra support when the pain was extra bad.
Good luck to you and your pup!
I had a Boxer like that too, though he had other issues going on. I used these:

XL is the ones I bought. Only bad part it rubbed on his penis area so I cut up some microfiber towels to add protection. It worked well.
Even in one like this??? This is similar to the one my dogs have
That's hilarious! I wonder if a little set of stairs would help her? We got some for our boy in his later years to help him climb up on the couch. He loved it.
Amazon
It doesnt come filled. It is currently filled with the previous bean bag stuffed inside it.
This is boxer [acne] chin for sure! Switch to stainless steel, and make sure to clean frequently. Their little chins are sensitive. Chlorhexadine wipes is what they’ll give you at the vet; you can get them for much cheaper online. You can wipe once a day, or after eating/slobbery events lol. https://www.chewy.com/pet-md-chlorhexidine-antiseptic-wipes/dp/146635
I purchased it off of Amazon. Unfortunately the price increased $40 since last year. The carpet that comes on the ramp is really shallow and is difficult to grip, so I added the yoga mat. I’m sure there are better ones out there, but this is the one I have.

BlessLiving Boxer Blankets Fuzzy... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T7MKLBG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It has held up quite well through 10 or so washes. I like it because it is extra large and covers me well!
When our last guy started getting up there in age and having hip issues we found keeping some hard rubber booties on his back paws helped out a ton with traction. he was having the same issues where his legs would slide out from him on hardwood.
We also had something similar to this for getting up and down stairs more easily.
As time went on and his hips continued to decline we got him something similar to this. Kept him getting around on his own for about another year.
Hope that helps!
The only toys my dog doesn't destroy within a week are Tuffy plush toys. Her alligator (https://www.amazon.com/TUFFY-T-OC-Alligator-Tuffy-Creature-Alligator/dp/B000OC7PEI/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=391FTKFRAZTE9&keywords=tuffy+dog+toy+alligator&qid=1656257864&sprefix=tuffy+dog+toy+all%2Caps%2C222&sr=8-3) has lasted her around 3 months so far.
I bought it off Amazon BlessLiving Boxer Blankets Fuzzy... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T7MKLBG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Totally worth the money. It is much larger than your standard throw and covers my 6'1 body no problem! It is also very soft.
Thank you! This is the blanket. I got it off Amazon and love it. It is much larger than your typical throw. Totally worth the money.
This post and the commenters are all spam. The comments about where to get it, the link, and purchasing it were removed and then reposted. This image can be purchased on Amazon for $10 less than their site. Scammer - you can keep downvoting me with all your alts, I don't care.

I'm one of the 'people' in the comments and I have my account is 10 years old so I'm very interested on when I don't qualify as "very little account history"
In hindsight, I was very excited about this print as I think its amazing. Did I hop on the link posted below a little quickly? Maybe. If I don't get my print then I'll definitely own up to it that I got bamboozled.
That being said this print is available on various other places like Amazon, Etsy, and a few others. So don't shy away because this dude is screaming scammer.

We got our puppy this toysnuggle pup, it was super helpful with night sleeping. Made her feel like she still had someone sleeping with her in the crate. Also vet ASAP. We lost our pup at 2 years due to kidney failure. Love your boxer pups!!
I have 2 boxers. And use a dog pen instead of a kennel. They have blankets and toys in the pen but not food. Some sort of mental stimulation is good for your boxer

So, we've been using these for over 2 years and they're holding up great.
Our guy is turning 5 in a few months, so these have been run puppy hard in all sorts of conditions. Still in perfect condition, they've never, ever slipped off of him even in the deepest snow and mud.
I have a 65lb boxer and use this, works pretty well.

My boxer loves her Jolly ball. She has put a lot of holes in it, but it's rubbery and has held up pretty well. We got her a second one after a couple of years, but they hold up pretty nice.
No clue if the size I linked is right for your boxer, so definitely do a little more research first.
I met a German Shepard dog who kept searching for something neurotically under the table, couch, and rugs. After questioning the people living there turned out they had her play with a laser pointer a bunch until it got to the point where she didn’t stop looking for it even after the game was over. I’ve heard the issue is more like to develop with herding dogs but either way there should be some sort of relief provided at the end of play like throwing down a bean or something that the dog can actually physically touch. I personally just don’t mess with it at all.
Anyways, this is the ball my dogs haven’t been able to chew through. Highly recommend.
I used this and it worked great. U can make different shapes with it and open it up and let a wall be one of the side to make it bigger. 4 years later and still use a section to keep my boxer out of certain rooms.
We've never used a playpen but like using the pressure fit baby gates. They work for door frames, walls and railings. We have used it just to keep.our boxer pup downstairs while we are there so she doesn't go into full destruction mode upstairs.

The cats and dogs might shred the fabric of the other style playpen.
Sure! I got them on Amazon. I looked at the size chart and then used measuring tape. Their chest measurement was slightly bigger (like 2 inches for both of them) than the size chart but I figured the sweaters would stretch easily and thankfully they did.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X91MF86 got XL for the puppy
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XH15GJP got XXL for my older one
I live in Boone, NC and last week it was 21 degrees and felt like 5 with the wind. We got our boxer this coat. It works well, it's snug but not too constricting so he seems to be pretty comfortable in it. We'll buy another one when our 4 month old boxer is all grown up.
Here's the coat being modeled by the best boy.
We have this jacket for our boy and it is good in the winter time for half hour or more walks and much longer if he is off leash. No legs but itll be warmer than fleece https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DR1D9GR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_gqGIFbM90V0K5
Also I got it out to look up the name for you and my boy asked to have it put on and hes literally now on his bed with the coat on just snuggling up... maybe we should turn on the heat soon 🤣
This one does pretty well unless your dog actively chews pieces out of it
It can take quite a few holes all over and still maintain its shape. Stepping on it while it’s hot outside and it’s super punctured it’ll probably lose its shape for a bit but it usually bounces back
It's this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001HX4294/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_WcboFbTQT01V0 The Coolaroo. We had gotten the amazon basics one and it fell apart after boxer behavior so I'd say the extra $25 for the Coolaroo one is worth it, we've had it for 3 years and it's in good shape still. Happy boxer summer days!
I had a rescue with the same condition, only thing I tried for him was socks and they would slip off. All I did in the end was have small mats for a path to the back door but the house was mostly carpet.
Another thing you might need are diapers for urine leakage.
From Amazon I bought these, also removed one of the three velcro to make it easier to remove. I had to use some cloth to prevent rubbing on his penis which created an open wound if I didn't.

Adorable pup. Little for a boxer but I really can't put my finger on it. I used the Mars Veterinary Wisdom Panel 3.0 Breed Identification DNA Test Kit on my pup and he came back 100% boxer as expected. You decide whether you want the test to be run for mixed-breed, designer or purebred. All of the tests include a predicted weight profile and will check for the multi-drug resistance 1 (MDR1) genetic mutation that may cause severe adverse reactions to commonly prescribed drugs. I know this sounds like an ad but I just had a friend recommend it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EHX2BH0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_oiSBzbHS6RV6H
We got the collar from Amazon (Direct Link to Collar). The name wasn't after Captain Chaos, but was a compromise after the family totally shut down my C'thulhu and I wasn't willing to go with Chewboxer.
My boxer used to be an expert escape artist. Then we got him a crate that is more like solitary confinement. This one
I second the halti head harness! My boxer weighs more than I do and this is the only way we can walk him. It puts your control at the dog's head/neck so they can't overpower you or slip out. Here's the link! http://www.amazon.com/Company-Animals-Halti-Collar-Black/dp/B004XNLCPC
My boxer destroyed his crate and when we came home had a smug look on his face. Jokes on him, we ordered this. He stays in his crate all day now.
I use this bowl to slow down my boxer mix: http://www.amazon.ca/OurPets-Premium-DuraPet-Slow-Medium/dp/B001NJ4PVW
It looks like there are also some other options for bowls like that, like this one: http://outwardhound.com/shop/dog-bowls
I bought the Tuffy Pig on sale at Petsmart and got over a year out of it before the toy became unsafe.
This fire hose toy lasted us a few months (gave it to him at 6 months, he didn't really put a dent in it until 9 months).. but my pup seems to be a late bloomer .. he just recently started destroying toys within days.
The only plush toy my dog has not destroyed is this flea although I must say I don't know why. He usually likes to rip an arm or leg off a toy then pull the squeaker and stuffing out through the hole he creates.
As far as squeakiness without stuffing that last, he likes JW Pet Company Ruffians Octopus Dog Toy and the Kong Airsqueak tennis balls.
That was a homemade rig cobbled together from electrical conduit and lawnmower wheels. Amazon has a good selection of mobility carts: e.g. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007ZPNBJA?ie=UTF8&at=&force-full-site=1&ref_=aw_bottom_links Some of these carts can be kinda spendy, but exercise is cheap therapy compared to a trip to the vet. (A walk in the cart seemed to stimulate correct operation of his bowels & bladder.)
We usually pick it up at a drug store or grocery - here's a link to a big pack of them from Amazon:
I did 2x a day for 3 days and by the 5th day it was back to a normal looking nose. He was not a fan of the application though.
One similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/Kent-Super-Scooter-Black-Red/dp/B001CH3MHI/ref=sr_1_15?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1339692568&sr=1-15 We made sure to get the ones with the bike tires. If you want, send me a PM and I'll link you to a video of my dogs in action pulling my FIL on it.
I installed this invisible fence and bought one extra collar for our two boxers. Super easy to install if you use landscape staples.
I was not rushing it but they trained in two days (supposed to take 2 weeks). They were a year old when I did it. Whenever we go for a walk outside of the yard we have a routine where we walk up to a certain point in the driveway, stop, put on a leash and remove the collar. Then they know it's okay to leave the yard.
We've never had them try to escape. The install kit comes with a DVD and good instructions on training. Often times now we don't even use the collars. If we are busy and can't keep an eye on them we will put the collars on. Boxers are smart and will figure out what they can get away with if you're not looking.
