Well. First we have to be vocal to the public. Educate the people around you and get them to educate the people around them.
Read this and share it. We have to use their tactics against them. Other than that, I’m not sure. I’ve just been telling everyone I know about this stuff hoping to turn some liberal minds into conservative minds.

If you're interested in an encrypted chat app for small groups (like family and friends) or just general texting, look into Signal. It's open source, supports end to end encryption, and has been audited by cybersecurity people. It's pretty legit, and easy to use. And the organization that operates it, can't read your texts and messages, because of the encryption.
Whats app is owned by Facebook (they hate privacy) and is not open source. This means that no one can check the code, and verify that Whatsapp's encryption is as good as Facebook says it is.
TL;DR: Get Signal, it's safe and secure. WhatsApp will sell you off the highest bidder.
Your edit which shows the borders of Adams county literally shows exactly what I'm saying though. Adams County has a big cut-out around Denver County to make room for the airport.
Check out the Denver boundaries there... Denver and Adams share a border, they don't overlap. You can't be in both.
You're right that "shit is different"... Adams and Denver are different. You're not helping anything by confusing a Florida native by conflating two different geographic and governmental locations.
I kinda have different needs from my wife, but in the end I know she will win that contest but hey I still get to go safe shopping.
If I had my way, I'd be more than fine just picking up a steel jobsite style rifle chest and dropping it in the back of the closet, since we already have a setup for the pistol in the bedroom if I'm not carrying it already. Or those neat hidden storage ideas
She wants something small (I plan on getting a couple more rifles so need room to spare for at least 2 more and a bit of ammo, some sort of lock but she likes the idea of the keypad styles instead of fiddling with a key thst could get misplaced, and something she doesn't have to look at (not against guns, just doesn't really care for them very much so the nicer ornamental ones are out) and would like something fire/waterproof. I would too, but also there's a $300 budget to keep around which is pretty hard finding one that foots the bill for everything.
We already have a small standalone safe that has important documents and stuff that's fire rated, and my guns are cheaply replaceable. I only have one sentimental one, the rest are just cheap ones I picked up along the way.
The stack on 8 cabinet is probably gonna be the one to go with getting by first, and they do offer a fire rated version, tho it's only 30 minutes.
