I have Cozmo working for the kids on a Fire HD 8 Tablet with Amazon FreeTime working well. I am not 100% what Kindle for Kids is though.
I work with a group of 8th graders who spend last term building this 8-bit computer from scratch.
None of them had ever been close to the metal before - and since it's all on solderless breadboards there were no issues with the parents or admins who get uptight about soldering projects. I plan on using it often - the textbook this project is based on is still in print and on Amazon.
I have not seen any in this size, if you do find some make sure they are the 1.5v battery and not the 12v kind; the later will destroy your cubes.
These are the cheapest ones I know of and they come in packs of 40
40 Counts 1.5V LR1/MN9100/E90/N... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B099Z2XR45
Sorry about that. I'm surprised you bought the return label, since it was a no return item; you were under no obligation to pay for that. I would also think since you labeled it as-is eBay also shouldn't have let them return it for a refund...but eBay is known to most of the time side with the customer.
When it gets back and the speaker is truly defective, there are replacements you can get on Amazon to fix it if you want Xiaoyztan 10 Pcs 20mm Diameter... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PFJDNXS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I also saw these two but I want to know which one is the better choice?

You don't need the tab, you need new batteries. You can get them here 40 Counts 1.5V LR1/MN9100/E90/N Size Alkaline Batteries
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B099Z2XR45
If you get them elsewhere, make sure to get 1.5V and not 12V, they look similar but the 12 will destroy the cubes circuit
Also if you wait, that part in the app will time out, until it says to place a cube in front of cozmo, then you can place one of them and continue.
Your speaker has gone bad. You can get a replacement one like this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PFJDNXS
You will need to take the head piece apart and a soldering iron to replace it.
Taking Cozmo apart is fairly easy as long as you pay close attention to the plugs attached to the main board and but if you are getting a defective one to print the color of the SE, then I guess it wouldn't matter?
But if you want to print one instead, here's a link to one on tinkercad

Just yesterday, my daughter found that one of the cubes was dead and so I needed to order some new batteries. If I go onto Amazon and search for "Cozmo batteries" or "cozmo cube batteries", I get exactly the same results each time and the top result is a 12v battery which I imagine will very quickly fry the cube...
Thankfully I'd seen a couple of recent threads on here where people's cubes had been killed in the same way so I knew to look carefully. But unless cozmo himself takes a 12v 27A battery, then I don't see how they even end up j In the search results, let alone the top result...
For anyone who needs to know, the cubes take a 1.5v size N battery.
