It’s totally a joke and it’s hilarious. I mean idk I’m 30 so the “most replayed” part is so funny to me. I’m sorry, there’s no way that is actually a thing, it’s a funny coincidence. It was probably replayed to get his code for ExpressVPN. I have done that before. But I can see how the younger Danny fanbase could take this too seriously.
He could have done more research, but, at the same time, I'm not giving any money to Danny, I never have given him anything other than 0.1 cents (approx) with each of my views that had YouTube ads, he's not surviving directly from me watching him, I know he gets deals with brands because people like me watch him, but I watch him because I like his content, I've never in my life purchased anything being promoted on his videos other than ExpressVPN, and I never purchase it with his special links, I'm glad Danny's getting the money to be able to still upload his videos.
If this is a big enough deal for you, you can stop watching him and complain about it as much as you want, all of it is your right, I happen to not care about this.
I don't think it was misleading. People are used to Danny doing sponsorships where he mentions his own experiences with the service (Hello Fresh, ExpressVPN, etc.). So it makes sense a lot of people misinterpreted this as him using the service himself.
That makes a lot more sense. I don't think he was intentionally misinforming anyone ofc. I think my brain automatically bridged that gap because when he talks about other sponsorships (like Hello Fresh or ExpressVPN), he usually mentions his personal experience with them.
Did you know that your ISP and hackers can still see your search history? If you really want to be secure (and not get arrested) you need to use ExpressVPN. ExpressVPN has over 3000 servers in over 60 countries. And after you’ve committed this grave act of treason, you can use VPN to gain access to content that may not be available in your country. Try ExpressVPN using the code DANNY. Thanks ExpressVPN for sponsoring the comment.
I'm not their dad but I use Mullavd or Mullvad or something. One of the subreddits recommended it. To be fair I basically just used it for 3 months to pirate the sims 4 without Comcast riding my ass, so I don't know how good it is long-term but I had no issues using it.
The impression I have in general is that if a vpn has enough money to advertise on a huge scale, it's not a good vpn.
To make things worse, their current chief information officer admitted last September to hacking millions of iPhones and spying for the UAE government, giving them data and "cyber intrusion tools". So even aside from their new parent company, I don't think ExpressVPN should be supported

Ehhh it depends what you use a VPN for, I mean if you just wanna watch blocked videos in your country it's no big deal. Also, at least according to ExpressVPN, they will still act as an independent company. You'll have to look deeper into their updated terms of service and see what changes occur from pre- and post-buyout. That doesn't mean you won't lose protection, and this possibly could be bad news depending on your perspective. This article is less biased than others listed in the comments, which is important when it comes to obtaining info:
I don't know how Danny feels about owls, but there's a cuteowl figurine set on Amazon for $18.
