I ended up having to cut mine out with a hacksaw because I just couldn't swing a hammer any longer. Someone online recommended using a piece of iron pipe with a cap, which I should have considered doing.
Also, the specialized tool is this whacky thing.
I went for the Master Tailgaters Video Mirror So I can have a backup camera without needing a 2 din radio.
I just got the skunk 2 front camber kit, it was around $200 on Amazon, still have to put them on tho. I was having the same exact problem on my tires. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001P2EZXK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Glad to see your progress.
More unsolicited advice: i would defintely use an engine leveler like this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000XSCEJY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_XeBUFbDD4W8RN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
If you ever do this agin, IMHO this is a must have for a one man job.
That's gonna be one sweet sol. Good luck.
Before you remove and replace the ignition lock, you may want to read below. My daughter's 93 civic had the exact thing happened. I think she was in a hurry and tried to take the key out without pushing it in first and it got stuck, and wouldn't turn off. I used a pair of pliers and carefully, turned the key to the off position and was able to take it out. Once the key was out, i removed the ignition lock following the video below. But instead of replacing it, i am seeing if some lubricant would help. With the lock out, i sprayed some lube into all the areas I could and reinstalled the lock. It's been a week and she hasn't had the key stuck since. I gave her a pair of pliers in case it happens again, and if it does, i will replace it.
This says it should fit all eg civics and 93 del sol https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000C803IY/ However, from experience, an ignition from a 93 civic did not fit into a 95 civic, so ymmv, and you may need to buy a different one for the exact model year.
Link to video that helped me replace the ignition lock on another one of my 92-95 civics https://youtu.be/7OG8pVabDpc
Video says to remove the wiper stalk, but I wouldn't, and you dont have to to access the ignition lock. The wiper is a bit tricky to put back if it comes apart when removing.
Also, the steering column cover is tricky to remove. There are 4 clips, 2 on each side of the steering column, and the trick is to press the bottom part in to disengage the clip.
Lmk if you have any questions.
I've got this sub in the back of mine. Pretty good but its an awkward shape...
You have to use the share button on the product page, when linking stuff. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B076MPF6BT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_jcPSFbV8WXWMK Anything h4 will plug into our headlight harness.
Only because I've been researching spacers. Mind sharing specs on yours? Mine are these 20 ~~cm~~ mm with built in studs. Hope they won't fall off on me 😁: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073Z7XW3Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Understood. Well, if you're just looking for a stock-type muffler, they're really inexpensive from a junkyard or a little more for new ones at the auto parts stores. Additionally, you could just get one of these:
It's a stock replacement at a fraction of the cost, and you can bolt it up in your driveway.
Not a reliable long term fix by any means. I’m hopefully gonna be able to source a tank when I get to florida because there’s someone with parts down there but I would be using this mainly for the trip down.
instead, get a gps heads-up projection speedo like this one: https://www.amazon.com/wiiyii-M1-Windshield-Projection-Speedometer/dp/B09NHSJZ74/ just connect via usb. I have a similar one that i've been using for 5 years.
This is the one I've seen, Curt 11724. It ties into the rear recovery hook (if your car has one), also requires some drilling. But this is only a class 1, I wouldn't put a motorcycle on it.

No exp with that one.

I used to live in OC. You're lucky as there are a lot of places in so cal, but not sure if del sols are still to be found. I did a search for you https://search.brave.com/search?q=pick+n+pull+orange+county&source=android
A few folks mentioned silicone grease and if your interested in the particular brand, this is what I used and everyone seems to recommend. Take an afternoon rub it into all the seals really well and wipe off any excess. Even if your seals don't leak you should do it given how tough new ones are to get.
Wow that's a huge drive.
Right I see. That seems like a pretty good deal. It's hard finding stock ones and I'm not sure if I care enough to pass over ones that have a few mods.
The other one I'm looking at at the moment is this one https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/512013029588082/?ref=messenger_banner. It's got a D15B VTEC and apparently was rebuilt too. It's really hard trying to find a good one.
You seem like a very knowledgeable person. Would this rebuild kit be good? I heard evergreen is a pretty good brand for this stuff

Since you mention stock is good enough, why not go with oem quality like kyb or senzen? Or see what rockauto has. Rear sets from amazon (i couldn't find the front for you, but im sure it'll show up if you search more. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005RE7A5W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_3Q7QV32M8DB69TYHX61P

If youve got the funds and want a premium ride, check out koni yellows shocks/struts coupled stock springs, since you don't want to lower your ride.
Try replacing the VSS, located on your transmission, right under the plastic air intake pipe. If that doesn't fix it, then your gauge is dead like mine. Instead of getring a new cluster, i installed a micro usb powered digital speedo that displays the an LCD reading of your speed. Pricey, but probably cheaper than getting a cluster and simple to set up https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005X4QCAA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_smMcGbB2MHH0B?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Fingers crossed for you getting exactly what you bought. As far as stereo, if you're like me and play music or podcasts from your phone, just get a cheap bluetooth head unit. It's about $40 and easy to install. Youll need to order this connector and splice it to the new radio. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0007KK2FG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_R6Y8FbJAPW9V2
Easy, get a spare shifter console, cut to fit. I used one of those butane powered hotknifes. Then make a bezel with whatever material you feel comfortable with. Loosely followed this guy. https://youtu.be/zV1mSGYhl1M I used this radio, but there are newer ones. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01MF9W0GU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_Jxm5FbZYE4DJR
Also, if you just finished building the motor, I highly recommend break-in oil for the first 50 miles, or during tuning. Your engine will end up getting the zinc deposits it needs for wear resistance, and your rings will end up seating better. I'm sure many people have gone without, but it's something I do every time.

Yep! Balances out the sound pretty well. As long as I don't crank through thing too high I don't even hear it that much outside of the car. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01DNT4YBA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_k4tTFbR4NS1SM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Just make sure to get 6 1/2 inch shallow mounts. I got these. These came with mounting hardware, I just screwed them into the factory hardware and they fit fine! https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01FUZV7ZG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_zzhTFb6JK9MP4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Might be. Incandescent generates the most heat. Depends on the wiring used in the assembly. I would definitely go with a reputable company for the halos. Alternatively, you could buy wiring harness heat wrap and wrap the wires yourself. Like this: https://smile.amazon.com/XFasten-Wire-Harness-Tape-Single/dp/B0821GSP4H/ref=sr_1_17?dchild=1&keywords=wiring+harness+heat+wrap&qid=1604793672&sr=8-17
Also as a side note, those lights in the US use a 3497 bulb from what I understand.
USB through a motorola car charger. I used the below ones so I can still charge my phone
I couldn’t find anything like that in Wally World, so I bought this from Amazon.
Custom Accessories 91125 Black Seat Wedge Cup Holder https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000WEPI4M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_xgR4Ab7SYH8DD
It works pretty dang good!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LVG98LO?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I actually got them on Amazon. If you prefer ebay, just make sure it's the same bulb type as what's on this Amazon link. Kits usually come in either blue, red, white, or green. I've seen yellow and purple though.
Another thing I recommend is replacing the dome lights in the cabin and trunk.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07N1JBQWJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I used this kit and had some left over. Sadly it's not a perfect fit in the cabin and you have to bend the leads a bit, but it fits just right in the trunk. They're super bright!
Very good choice. Same here.

Those went on my Sol back in March, and I'll never run anything else again. Such a good ride quality and amazing adjustability for a reasonable price...
here's the one i bought https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005X4QCAA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Apparently you can also project it to your windshield.
Just to clarify. These aren’t made for the Del Sol at all. They’re universal and the mounting bracket was not easy to make.

This one looks like it would work perfect, especially with the tow loop under the Sol's rear bumper.
I do not believe it comes with the donut gasket. If yours is toast, you can always get a new one.
I didn't see at first that the muffler I recommended was out of stock. This one:
is for the Sol as well, and should bolt up to your Sol perfectly. There's a reviewer that states as much.
As far as the patience goes, Not sure what to tell you. It'll arrive in a few days, and you'll be up and running in no time.
I ended up going with the steel inserts below due to the helicoils not being the best choice for that application. It’s pretty much the same process as installing a helicoil but the hole is drilled much bigger. I also switched to ARP studs, don’t know why Honda didn’t do that in the first place.
I did it myself because I have some experience with that sort of thing, I would highly recommend having a shop do it because it’s pretty easy to ruin the block.
I really wanted to rebuild the engine myself to see if I could do it so I took it down to the block and replaced all of the seals and rings. Pretty fun project so far with plans to do a B series swap eventually.

You can get new one piece lights on Amazon for just over $100. One's I have
I'm pretty sure it's fully enclosed. I got it off of Amazon Rockville RWS12CA Slim 1200 Watt 12" Powered Car Subwoofer Enclosure + Wire Kit https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01DNT4YBA/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_FjLjEbMGEQ3WH I have my cables running into one of the two button spots? Behind the armrest. This isn't the prettiest way to do things, but it's way cheaper that getting a stealthbox. Also, so far this thing slaps when it's turned up, and balances sound out well when at a reasonable volume level.
Swapped my 93's seals for some off a 96. Use lots of lube where the seals sit and on top of the seals to make sure they dont dry out on you and crack.
Get this 3M 08008 Black Super Weatherstrip Adhesive to glue down the corners on the seals where the factory stuff was. This also works to glue the rubber together wherever theres a rip or crack. 10/10 product
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00063X38M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_KwHFAbMDWF6RS
Derp. So obvious. Well, looks like I'll be ordering myself some of these. Thank god I won't need to figure out how to add more bulbs to the climate controls.
Well you could always try a "u-pull-it" type junk/scrap yard and hope there is a old sol sitting out there you can take parts from. If you have tons of money to blow I'm sure you can head over to a honda dealer and have them special ordered but they won't be cheap.
