Can fit 2 of these and a few foam trays into my table top tyrant battle case
You can get pretty similar color scheme to the box art by drybushing. Prime black and then dry brush a generous layer of Kalabite Green followed by a lighter dry brush of Sybarite Green.
If you watch painting videos, you'll notice focus talk about edge highlighting. If you're not comfortable doing this with a brush, it can be done fairly easily with similar results by using very fine tip paint pens like these
I just use one of these drills https://www.amazon.co.uk/Army-Painter-Miniature-Model-Drill/dp/B07NNS3T87
Then just glue in some small magnets. I think they are 1mm. Super small anyway, just a drop of superglue in the hole and push the magnet in. It's pretty quick and easy.
Just make sure you get the polarity right otherwise you will end up with arms being repelled haha.
The dark Lance and splinter cannon require you to do both arms. The blaster and shredder only the arm with the gun needs doing really.
Believe it or not, I actually used this as a clear gloss varnish: https://www.amazon.com/Pledge-11182-Revive-Transparent-Liquid/dp/B000ARPH4C
Then I used blood angel contrast paint w/ contrast medium
Just got some 1/4" clear acrylic rods I'm going to cut down and magnetize. A solid post glued to the base and a strong magnet at the join to the ship should do fine.
