I just lubed from the top. I picked up some Super Lube and used 4 drops per switch. I was worried I would might break the board somehow by doing this but it works great. No need to wait for it to dry either. There are a couple tutorials on YouTube showing how to do it as well. I was thinking of de-soldering as well but the amount of time it would take put me off lol.
Unless you're switching keycaps the plastic cover that comes with the keyboard will work great as a keyboard cover. I don't use a keyboard cover because it's too much effort and you'd need to clean your keyboard anyways because dust gets anywhere that isn't hermetically sealed, just an unfortunate truth I've come to realize. Not sure I'd be concerned about rust unless you're using this thing by the seaside or somewhere similar.
If you own or maintain other electronics (laptop, desktop, console, etc) a better investment over an air spray would be something like a datavac. You'll get way more usage out of it and it more consistently cleans stuff. I even used it to blow pine needles out of the finish gaps in my car. If I'm doing a basic clean on my keyboard I'll remove the left and ride side keycaps and blow from the center outwards to get a lot of the dust out. Trust me, a reusable vac is the way to go (they make them wireless too). Just take your electronics outside and blow alllll the shit out of them.
Once a year or so I'll do a deep clean so I just remove all the keycaps, clean them and the board, using some isopropyl to clean the board and just general keep it well functioning. Mainlining the same keyboard for both work and personal stuff means it gets a lot of usage, so if I was really intent to keep a keyboard for like 10+ years I'd probably look into lubing the stabilizers after a few years. It's hard to feel the difference as you're using it every day, but you will notice a difference between lubed keyswitches/stabilizers in general. Ducky keyboards are decent as-is though, right out of the box, for some time.

this is the lube. i think i went kind of overboard. i put a good amount on the switch and stabilizers. then it was feeling sluggish, like slow to come up. so i tried to remove some of it with canned air. then i put cotton under the stabilizers which worked for like an hour and then it stopped registering every single press. it would miss presses and sometimes double up. so i removed the cotton but now its still missing presses as well as sometimes doubling it. do you think replacing switch should fix this? should i replace the stabilizers for the keyboard while im at it? im a total mechanical keyboard noobie
I bought this from Amazon. It's OK, just had to use my Clear plastic keyboard cover that came with my ducky.
Used it for a 60% and 65% and works fine in a backpack.

I don't remember how I turned off minesweeper, but I remember that I used something from here. If nothing works, just reconnect your keyboard to your PC.
I'm gonna assume you did not get any soapy water inside the switches (still, better use alcohol to clean peripherals and not water) and are simply experiencing bouncy keys.
Use these key combinations to set debounce time to something higher than 5ms, gotta see what works for you.
What keyboard layout are you using on Windows? Assuming it is one of the English ones, I believe that is the behaviour of the International USA layout. You could change it in Windows Settings (Settings > Time and Language > Language) to be the standard USA layout, or you could manually remove the dead keys to create a custom layout with MSKLC.
Copy and paste on a Mac is command+c and command+v respectively
You can swap win/alt keys using the dip switches
Set your modifier keys via keyboard prefs in macos

I couldn't make my Asus mobo wake by usb keyboard either. So I bought this thingy and moved on: https://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-Wireless-Function-Feedback-ES02-PCIE/dp/B075ZMPKW6 (I have a Ducky Mini but afaik the brand of the keyboard makes no defference with this issue)

Not sure which ones OP has specifically but there are several on Amazon that are all basically the same.
Tez Cables on amazon has a plain black one for a reasonable price.
I think this is a good value. Just buy some switches and some keycaps. Its hot swap, so you don’t need to solder anything. Decent starter board. Maybe toss in some gateron yellow switches. They run about .20 cents a switch.
I feel you looney, I ordered a GK61, (link: https://www.amazon.ca/-/fr/gp/product/B07QYHM32Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) arriving tomorrow. what are you planning to get?

how much did it cost?
thinking of getting this from amazon to match with my mecha mini llama edition that comes in 2 months.
Odds are they won't simply based off demand for it. I don't think most people care if they get an alu version of the SF or not.
That being said, if you want an aluminum 65% that's actually recommended higher than Ducky by a lot of reviewers, the Durgod Hades 68 is about to restock at Amazon and comes in Cherry, Gateron, or Kailh switches. Check it out
Get a Switch tester board and make you own opinion as it is very subjective.
