We don't know the date when we will have more stock for the Tenting Kits, but we're working to have a new batch as soon as possible 😊
We would like to have it later this year, but it really is unpredictable, especially with the new energy crisis in China. Most factories are being forced to shut down 5 days per week. Manufacturing is getting exponentially harder lately 😥
You can write down your email in our Tenting Waiting list and we will notify you: https://airtable.com/shrbDdhxuYZHmxxU6
We would also announce it on our social media and here on reddit 😉
Hi u/TheLastArcadia 😊
We are planning to make the Tenting Kit a standard product that you can buy with the Raise.
We started with pre-sales on the first batches, but given the good reception of the product, we will produce stock regularly. We're now arranging it to make more stock as soon as possible, but there's no set date. We will announce it here on Reddit and on our social media.
If you want to be notified, you can write your email on the Tenting List here: https://airtable.com/shrbDdhxuYZHmxxU6
Hey there u/g0ron!
Right now we can't sell the thumbkeys the rest of the keycaps. The reason is that we produce complete sets of keycaps. If we sell the thumbkeys we have to throw the rest of the set 😅
But you're not the only Dygmate who asked for this. We're trying to manufacture them separately but it's not happening in the near future.
As a temporary solution, you can print a new set. The blueprints can be found in our wiki 😉
https://www.notion.so/dygma/Dygma-Wiki-6e8905e1f928496a8736f7dc29e432bb
We are aware that this is a feature requested by many Dygmates, that's why we're trying to offer some more options, especially in the thumb area.
In the meantime, you can try some alternatives, like 3-D printing.
Check our wiki for ideas 😉
https://www.notion.so/dygma/Dygma-Wiki-6e8905e1f928496a8736f7dc29e432bb
It's full of inspiring setups, keycap solutions and great layouts.
Of course, that does not take the burden out of us, we'll keep working and offer you some more options when it comes to customizing the thumbkeys.
Hi there u/twi5t3d
We compiled some homemade tenting solutions in this wiki:
https://www.notion.so/dygma/Dygma-Wiki-6e8905e1f928496a8736f7dc29e432bb
You'll be able to find several ideas, probably you find the one that solves the problem 😉
Since I'm a staff member, you have all the right to not trust me, but you won't regret buying the Raise 😂
Jokes aside, there are plenty of reviews from users you can check here in our wiki: https://www.notion.so/dygma/Dygma-WiKi-6e8905e1f928496a8736f7dc29e432bb
Regarding the sales for BF, we will announce all the details this week, but we have discounts coming 🙂😉
Nice little setup, I have a similar one at home.
My desk is 1 meter wide and I put my laptop folded on a stand similar to this one. This way I have a bit more space for a notebook, pens, etc. And so my cat can lay down between the Raise halves 😂
I find them too firm. Bought some cheap gel palm rests, but found they were too tall. Then, I realized I was sitting a bit too low relative to my desk, and raised my chair a bit.
Having done that, I can actually use the cheapo gel palm rests (these guys) on my Raise without an issue. My palms don't even touch them when I'm typing - they're now just a place to rest when I'm not typing (the way it should be), and they're more comfortable than the Dygma ones.
Agree with everyone else here - it will take some time to adjust and adapt to touch typing on the split keyboard. I've ordered the tenting solution as well, but I'm using two of these quite successfully as a very adjustable interim tenting solution - the frame of the Raise actually fits perfectly into the groove meant for a tablet, so you can even have different angles per hand.

I switch between my personal Windows / Linux machine and my Windowslaptop from work. Functions really well. Has a ~2 seconds delay when switching, but totally acceptable for me as I only switch twice a day.
Thanks! It's the phanteks evolv mini rgb. The price matches the quality, but definitely good enough for my use.
Hi!
I'm afraid we don't have anything like that. You could get the dash or English keycaps and add Cyrillic stickers to them, though. Something like this: https://www.amazon.es/Pegatinas-universales-computadora-Impermeable-Escritorio/dp/B097BFJSSB/
Thanks for the recommendations. That's what I'm expecting will happen yes, with both keyboards I bought. Glove80 should be arriving a month or two sooner than the Defy and though I find the Glove80 extremely good (on paper of course), it's the Defy the one I'm anticipating the most.
I don't use the layers in the Barocco, I mean I just use one where I remapped a few keys (the rightmost row so home/end/pgup/pgdown have a more natural order), but other than that I forgot about layers. It's a full 102 keys so it also does not force me to use layers at least for keys that aren't there.
The tenting could also make a big difference. I thought of a mod I could do to the Barocco to get all the tenting I wish (with something like two of these), but I didn't move with that because between the three keyboards I spent all the budget I had for keyboards for this year.
What I'm interesting to devise is a good way to adjust the keyboard placement without too much hassle. Maybe it really is just practice, but I would have thought that after 5 months I already learned how to do it quickly and it seems that is still not the case for now :)
As u/AccordionBruce suggested, the Discord Channel is probably the best place to share the layers or ask for some to get inspiration.
Also, you can try the layouts section in our wiki, here's the link if you're interested:
https://www.notion.so/dygma/Dygma-WiKi-6e8905e1f928496a8736f7dc29e432bb
No worries, we'll find something fitting for you 😉
Thanks a lot for sharing!
Love how you reduced the usage of pinkies and also how you rearranged the Dvorak layout.
Just one question, why not move the left control one key to the left? I mean, you have an empty space to keep it closer 😉
Sure you have your motives, but I'm thirsty for more knowledge 😋
There's a section in our wiki with several layouts, I'll leave the link here, just in case you want to check it out:
https://www.notion.so/dygma/Dygma-WiKi-6e8905e1f928496a8736f7dc29e432bb
Good job with the layout, keep on working on it 💪
Yeah that was me..
You still need to connect between the split, and you need a battery. (any usb battery pack will work, I use this one -- https://www.amazon.com/Anker-PowerCore-Ultra-Compact-High-Speed-Technology/dp/B0194WDVHI/)
It all fits under the tent, so it's not too bulky for me.
Not everyone wants a tenting keyboard, so no, it shouldn't be part of the original product. That being said—I feel you; they are a little steep. That's a pun.
I use these with my Ploopy Trackball: conical rubber bumpers. They're of varying height, so you can try out a little elevation/tilt with them. The tilt isn't as aggressive as with the stands, but they're readily available and you can try them out as a solution with little overhead.
I’ve been using this with a Mac and windows machine with no problems - IOGEAR 2 Computer 4-Port USB 2.0 Peripheral Sharing Switch, GUS402 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BD8I2OY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_EGQ9JPPPJ52JAQWGDDY4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
>I wish the store page for the kit had an email notification option for once they are available again.
That's a good suggestion!
We have a tenting kit list where you can subscribe to be notified for the next batch here: https://airtable.com/shrbDdhxuYZHmxxU6
We will add this to our online shop 😊
We no longer use Trello, we now have this roadmap in Notion: https://www.notion.so/dygma/01cece2fe6464f09ac7ca26552563e9b?v=30616d1fea034aed95dc59fabd1d4856
😊
Nothing super specialist for my work, but I have an interesting setup where I use https://symless.com/synergy to connect both my windows and mac work machines. So I have the left outer space bar set up as ctrl/cmd.
I also have the inside left thumb key set up to quick-shift to a layer that has the vim movement keys - hjkl - set up as standard arrows because muscle memory tells me those are where to find the arrows when I don't have the use of standard arrow keys.
Lastly I have the outside left key quick-shifting to a layer where the number keys are function keys because they're useful in windows.
Hi! Thanks for the reply and for the video!

>Would accidentally holding the Esc key down longer than 7 seconds cause the firmware update to fail?
No, it won't. You don't actually need to hold it that long. Even just tapping the key repeatedly will work.
Sounds like you're not having much luck with the updating. I'm so sorry you're having this issue. Please schedule a video call with us and we will help you go through the update process :)
I'm sorry to see it didn't work. It's rare that the Reset process doesn't work. You can try this other way:
1-Unplug the Neuron from the cable that connects to the computer.
2-Press and hold the Esc key in Raise.
3-Re-plug the Neuron to the cable while holding Esc. Now the Neuron should be pulsing in blue color. You won't be able to type.
This process will force the keyboard to stay in programmable mode, and Bazecor should be able to connect to it. It won't offer the layout editor, only the firmware update screen.
You don't need to press the ESC key again, and you don't need to select the rainbow mode in this flashing mode.
4-Open Bazecor. If it was already open, close it first, then open it. Wait for it to load. Press connect, and update the firmware.
If this still doesn't work for you, could you try with another computer?
And if this doesn't work either, you can schedule a video call with us here: https://calendly.com/dygmates/
The colors glitching and rows of keys going black sounds like a different kind of issue. Could you record a video of it?
Alternatively, you can schedule a video call with us here: https://calendly.com/dygmates/
I hope we can talk and solve this asap 🙏
Hi u/developer99
Thank you for your comment!
A reddit Dygmate made harder palm pads (from wood), and another reddit Dygmate made softer and thinner palm pads for himself by cutting some soft foam into the palm rest shapes. However, we found that moderate to firm palm pads were comfortable for the majority of users, so that is what we went for as a standard. If you were to experiment with other materials, you may find that softer palm pads can promote pressing harder against them. So we recommend paying attention to this if you use a material that is too soft.
The Tenting Kit pre-sale stock is already sold out, but we're working to manufacture more and hopefully have another pre-sale soon 😊
You can sign up here to be notified when the new Tenting Kits are available to pre-order: https://airtable.com/shrbDdhxuYZHmxxU6
We aimed for a keyboard that has most keys easily accessible without having to move the wrists around. We promote using layers+thumb keys instead of using extra keys, since it's more ergonomic. However, in the future we may create a bigger keyboard too.
The pad you're asking for with extra keys could also be a future product if there's enough demand for it 😊
We wouldn't make it in the short term, but if other users are interested we would definitely look into it!
Hi u/Evemaru
Most standard mechanical keyboard switches will fit in the Raise. You can see a list with a few examples of compatible switches here: https://airtable.com/shr2beqjUXzTk6GfS/tblYLigKdFcOriJ1k?backgroundColor=orange&viewControls=on
There are many others that are compatible.
Low profile switches won't fit because they use different sockets.
Switches that use a different technology like optical, pressure sensitive, etc. require different electronics altogether, so they wouldn't work either.
Other than that, you can always post here the switches you're looking into and we can tell you if they work 😊
I believe anything that says OEM profile should work, but you would of course have to use the original thumb keys. And there's a slight difference in the keys between ANSI and ISO layout so you need to get the correct set according to the keyboard you get.
I'm using a ANSI keyboard and got these from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06VWBV3Q7

Just joined the Dygma family at the end of December, this has replaced my ergodox EZ! Really enjoying the dygma so far.
We've heard of this issue before from some customers. And normally this is simply because there's not enough power going to the Raise. Changing cables can help but sometimes it's also your computer's power. The Raise is very power hungry. So it needs all the power it can get from your computer.
If you want, you can schedule a video call with us so we can assess your setup and see what we can do to solve it https://calendly.com/dygmates/ 😊
You might notice that we love giving detailed replies 😅
That's great! You can sign up for our Raise Tenting Waiting List here: https://airtable.com/shrbDdhxuYZHmxxU6
We will notify you once the tenting is ready for order.
Actually, I noticed that Karabiner-Elements can remap any key to the fn/globe key. Since I'm not using caps lock for anything, I guess I'll use Bazecor to assign caps lock to a key and then use Karabiner-Elements to remap it to fn/globe. 😅
Hi u/3lcasta,
The super helpful Dygmates u/YMwoo and u/artebus83 already answered you with the image you need!
If you're interested in getting your own thumb keycaps, you can also check out the 3d printable files that u/j_kobrah has very kindly shared here on reddit:
u/N7_JackNought How can we help you better understand switch compatibility?
Most switches from Gateron, Kaihl, Cherry, ZealPC, etc. are either PCB mount switches, or plate mount switches. They differ in the pins located on the bottom of the switch. PCB mount switches have 5 pins and plate mount switches have 3 pins. There are some videos on Youtube how to modify ZealPC switches to fit into a plate mounted hot swap pcb. (Two of the pins must be removed)
Fortunately, the raise supports both types of swtiches.
With LEDs, you have to consider that colored, not clear switch housings may absorb/block the light and thus reduce the visible luminosity of the LED
I hope this helps. I for example ordered some Holy Pandas for my Raise and I'm pretty sure that they will reduce the brightness of the LEDs.

Hey! You'll be able to screw the tenting kit to the base of the Raise.
To be able to build the tenting in the Raise we would need to redesign the whole base. That would be a major redesign because it will affect the underglow base and how you screw the PCB to the top and bot panel. Those modifications will be part of Raise 2, but that won't happen until 2022 or further.
We are going to do a short run of tenting units and ask for feedback. You can join the waiting list here https://airtable.com/shrbDdhxuYZHmxxU6 Any tenting kit version will work with any Raise of any batch.
I understand, I thought it was a standard USB-C cable, an suggestion would be to add a note about this in the box to avoid confusion. As for others that want a USB-C to USB-C cable, the Amazon basics cable is an almost perfect match in material, style and colour to the included cables.
Looking forward to the mouse keys update! As for the FN and custom bindings I’ve solved it for myself using karabiner elements, which supports rebinding anything but I was hoping for a hardware solution for portability, nice to hear that you are working on the things that does work, great that you’ve got a full time developer working on the software now :)
Hi u/lerun. I made this video that might you with your problem https://www.loom.com/share/69dd5c75be134a179026042b0d804d08
Please let me know if it helped.. or not 😅
>It is quite a gymastic to just copy a text.
There are several ways to solve this 😊
Here in the office we each use a different solution, but you can see my way of doing this here:
How I use the arrows to navigate text
As you can see there, on my arrow layer I have keys that do Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+X on the lower row. I have them here because I select text, cut, and paste all the time with my right hand (I'm left handed so I keep my left hand on the mouse).
We're planning on making a video to show other solutions to do exactly this: Moving through text, copying it and pasting it.
No problem! I'm glad you were able to make it work :)
Specifically a single layer not working is something I've never seen or heard of. It makes me think that there's some kind of configuration mistake or that you are using a user-customized version of the firmware or layers.
I'd like to understand what's going on. Could you share your previous layer configuration that didn't work or record a quick Loom sharing your screen and replicating the issue? This way I'll be able to figure out why it didn't work.
> The issue is not when moving back to layer 0,but when trying to switch to layer 1 from 5. So
Oh, I misunderstood you. But you got the gist and went for the correct solution.
> After your comment I tried copying layer 1 to layer 6 and using switch to layer 6 on my layer 5,but this didn't do the trick.
This should have totally worked. I just did with my Bazecor and my Raise. I've recorded a short video showing how I did it https://www.loom.com/share/33174085b585473b8e6b7c5a4dca14bf. Please, tell me if you were able to replicate this in your Raise.
> Moving back and forth between layer 0 and 5 does work though (which is what you thought was the issue, right?)
I thought the issue was shifting down from layer 5 to layer 0. But the issue is shifting down from layer 5 to 1.
Have you tried a screw extractor kit (I'm not especially reccomending this one in particular. Just showing the first link I found on the internet) big test of a couple brands with some funny conclusions from this guy
Unfortunately, just looked at the back of my own raise and I don't think it will help for this situation, but if you have another stripped screw on say a mobo. This saved my ass when I couldn't get a heat sink screw off to get access to an M.2 slot.
Hi there!
The Raise was built to be moded, it's fairly easy to open it, components are tighter than in other cases, but you can still apply mods.
I've been thinking about making some mods to mine, and I had the same concerns about the shape and thickness of the Raise, but I've come with a solution.
I'm going to use a material like this. It has several advantages:
I'll be conducting some tests during the next week, so I recommend you wait for the results before jumping the gun. Still, it looks promising 😁😁
If you like fun colors, I used Wiritech ones:
USB C Cable, WiRoTech Blue USB-C to USB-C Fast Charging Cable (10 feet, Blue) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01E1O1QGC/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_QVNF6SJS54RDW6AY0CC2
You can choose colors/lengths from there, not just the blue ten footer.
I purchased some cables similar to this one: https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Delivery-Charging-Compatible-Nintendo/dp/B07V7SGJH3/ref=sr_1_18?dchild=1&keywords=type+c+to+type+c+90+degree&qid=1629247148&sr=8-18
The brand I bought was Aukey, but I wasn't able to find them when I searched again today. I like the right angle connectors on both ends, and the braided sleeving over the cables looks nice IMO. ;)
A bit of a late reply but I use this cheap UGreen USB switch for my mouse and keyboard and haven't had any issues myself.
But I then use separate cables for my laptop and PC to my monitors so I'm guessing you would like to avoid that?
For the price the USB switch has worked well so far. Its pretty small and lite enough I have it mounted under my desk with 3m tape so I can quickly swap computers when needed with the push of a button. But I have to follow up by hitting the input buttons on my monitors manually. I can live with that for just $30.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N6GD9JO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I picked this up and it works fine with a windows box and a mac - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BD8I2OY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Only supports two computers but I really dig the remote trigger.
I haven’t found any KVM that does 4K/60Hz over hdmi. I plan on getting a dedicated hdmi switch for that.
For the usb switch, this one probably comes closest IMO. Doesn’t control the kvm through the keyboard, but has a remote that can do the work:
Cable Matters 4 Port USB 3.0... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083JKDNRJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I'm using mine with an Orico Powered 7 port USB 3.0 hub.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08F4V5DZ4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I've successfully flashed firmware with it, but it also bugged once and took me a second try.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08YNPXPRW?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This powered hub has worked without issue for the last month and a half. No buzzing or whirring sounds like I have experienced with others. It might cost a bit more than others but between how it handles the Raise, the number of ports, charging capabilities, and on/off switches (didnt think I'd care about this but it has been convenient), I highly recommend.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MXXQKGM
This is not a hub precisely but works fine, I have two computers and with this devices switch and use the same raise, mouse and some memory just with one click
I am using this hub, and updated the firmware today without any issues.
Follow Up: Purchased uGreen USB 3.0 switch to replace old one. Works flawlessly. Zero hitches. I do connect it with a 5V power source (had one laying around, they are not expensive).
uGreen USB 3.0 Switch on Amazon (no affiliation)
I have had the exact same issue with the following switch: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07Y2HKN37/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_NyL4FbZQDHEHX
Would like to know if there is a fix that could be implemented for it.
Buy some metal bookends, and use magnets, Command Strips or velcro to keep them in place (if necessary). Depending on the angle, you can either flip them over and place the keyboard halves on what would normally have been the upright ends holding the books up, or you can bend them to the desired angle.
Metal bookends can be bought cheaply, are sturdy, come in a variety of colors, and it gives you a clean look. Be aware that you just need the keycap section on the bookend, you don't need the palm rests to fit.
The photo in the listing for these bookends (3 pairs for $13...like I said, they can be CHEAP!) shows what I mean by simply flipping them over, although you'll want to check dimensions, since you'd want at least 5" of width to fully support the keycap area from top to bottom, and at least 6" to support the width.
They're not nearly as cheap (I already owned them) but I'm using these flipped over, which is great because they can go back to being bookends when I'm done. When you bend them, there's a chance the paint will crack along the bend, or that you don't make a clean bend, leaving the bookends a bit disfigured if you go to straighten them back up again.
Hi /u/lenartr
Hope this helps!
oh, it's a Mr. Coffee mug warmer. It's not pretty or anything, and it has a power cord but it does its job. It keeps my drink nice and warm. :-)
https://www.amazon.com/Mr-Coffee-Warmer-Office-MWBLKPDQ-RB/dp/B000CO89T8
How about getting a hard mouse pad and putting some tall feet/short legs on it. Then you can float the mouse pad over all or part of the right keyboard half.
They sell things to do this (mouse bridges), but I doubt there is one big enough to suit your needs. You could probably find adhesive silicone bumpers of the right height, for simplicity. These, for example, are .4 inches tall and these, while 1.8" in diameter, are .6 inches tall - not sure what height you need, as it would vary based on what parts of the keyboard you cover.
The obvious cons are the higher elevation of the mouse, and your needing to slide the bridge over to type (if you cover the keys).
Thanks!
I've tried with a bean bag used for arm support to lift it up in the middle, but it wasn't stable enough. I might 3D-print something to add a small angle, but IMO it doesn't really need any tenting to feel comfortable to use.
