IPT's Rotating Equipment training manual
Audels Millwrights and Mechanics manual
These will give you all the info for the mechanical aspects. Might want to check out /r/millwrights as well. I'm not sure what the testing is like, however the guys over there were sharing books that were specific to actual pre-apprenticeship tests. Math is not listed as a topic, however I'd definitely spend time brushing up on that.

I saw the job posting a couple weeks ago, do you know how many apprentices they are taking?
These work great.
Just remember to wire east or west as the enable button.

Replying to add reversable gear wrenches with the offset and this socket holder that fits in a klein bag and locks your sockets in order. Takes a lot of frustration out of your work if you use klein bags
I'm just here as a fangirl, but this Smith and Wesson M&P https://www.amazon.com/Smith-Wesson-SWMP4LBS-Stainless-Assisted/dp/B002OAU30G has served me well for many years.
We have a "new guy toolbag" at work filled with something like this.
When someone new starts working we tell them “the guy they are replacing was a little bit special, please go over his toolbag and see if there is something in it they think they can use” innocent fun, breaks the ice.
I recommend buying this book for $34. It was very helpful to me when I was preparing to take the test.

You'll never wear the strap on knee pads again. I forget they're in there until I kneel down and it's like landing on a cloud.
Personally I prefer those kneeling/gardening mats more than kneepads also makes for a great cushion to sit on,Impacto Mat is a good option
