I’ll throw in my two cents. Even though I grew up in Erie, moved away from 4 years, and am now back (as is tradition), somebody a long time ago told me find Pillsbury Hot roll mix and use that for the dough. You can then fry and bake or just bake. Adding hot pepper cheese will get you to Arnone’s-style perfection.

Someone who knew the Arnone people told me the secret to good pepperoni balls is sugar. Lots of it. As in a sweet dough. The next time you have a pep ball, tear off a piece without any pepperoni grease on it, close your eyes and really taste it. It is a very sweet dough. That’s the balance you need.
Finally, after extensive research as a fat person who likes to eat, I’ve observed that pepperoni balls aren’t really unique to Erie. In a lot of Italian American areas, you can find something called Fish balls. Just like a pepperoni ball but with an anchovy inside. If you like anchovies you’ll love them. Fish balls have been around a long time and are one of the more authentic recipes from the old world. Pepperoni was more readily available and thus was born the pepperoni ball.
Ugh. Humans.
I have a "wallet" that looks just like that.
EdIT: Well.. after closer inspection... maybe I don't. Nothing to see here. Move along.
Hi there Discogeek. . . thanks for contributing to this thread and I'd welcome the chance to meet up and see what you are doing and how we can be helpful.
I'm Brian Slawin (@BenFrankBrian) the Portfolio Manager at Ben Franklin in Northwest PA (based in Erie). After exiting my tech startup, I moved from St. Louis to Erie less than 2 years ago and am having a GREAT time working with some pretty great companies and helping contribute to the entrepreneurial resurgence we're ALL seeing in our community.
If you'd like to schedule an in-person meeting or even just an initial phone call, I'm available every Tuesday at the Idea Lab in Blasco Library from 2p-3p and also every Tuesday at Radius CoWork (at 1001 State, Suite 907) from 9am-1pm. Reserve a time slot on my schedule and let's connect.
Thanks again for acknowledging our work and the impact we're having step-by-step.
Honestly, I suspect it's just a story someone told the author of the book. There's only a page or two about it, unfortunately, but the book's available on Amazon.

assuming you have android, but definitely handy for what you want to do. If you're on ios search dark zones or dark sky and I'm sure there are similar apps.
Air quality in Erie is great.
The highest I saw on their data was a 92.
Neither city really have any type of extreme air quality overall. Pit has a few localized hot spots but as a city will offer a lot more than Erie.
The Nextdoor app is used for exactly those purposes. Trolls abound and it can get mildly infuriating sometimes, but it’s mainly useful. It would probably take some time to get it populated, but it really works. The comment threads can get pretty hilarious sometimes. https://nextdoor.com/
Bankers boxes on amazon are pretty reasonably priced. I think I got all I needed to move my studio apartment for like $50.
Otherwise if you head to a state store (aka a place where they sell liquor) and ask what day they get shipments in + offer to take the boxes off their hands for free, they may be able to help you out.
(You want decent quality boxes, so any place that restocks glass stuff is your best bet.)
If you'd like a cheaper alternative, this is what I use to sharpen my knives at home. It's cheap and works a treat on any straight edged blade. That said, if you want to sharpen serrated, you would probably have to send them out.

I worked in a commercial kitchen for years and we used this exact brand to maintain our chefs knives.
Good luck getting a band going, it's a tricky time to start a music project. The old school approach, you could hang up fliers at World of Music and Guitar Center. Craigslist used to be alright, that's where I found a bandmate or two in the past but it seems that fell apart. Hope this method gets some results for you.

If you've got $10 or so, buy yourself a clip on guitar tuner for your guitar. Like so. It's the easiest way to keep your acoustic guitar in tune, it'll have your chords sounding so much cleaner.
I have a Loki jacket with built in mittens, hood, and balaclava that I wear all winter. I have one pair of snow boots and a pair of slip on rubber soled shoes for nonsnowy days. I wear long John's and Jeans most of the time.
I also wear a hoodie instead of the jacket on warmer days, sometimes with a thermal undershirt.
I have a pair of heavy duty gloves but almost never wore them. Maybe 3 or 4 days.
On the coldest days I wear thick socks, snow boots, my heavy gloves, Loki jacket, and thermal underwear under everything.
