This is a good list: https://zapier.com/blog/best-business-card-scanner-software/
Shameless plug: you can email a photo of them laid out to Execos and we’ll automagically file them for you :)
We use Pingboard.com, they provide an Excel template that you can upload to create a directory with employee profiles, from there it is easy to assign managers and create a chart. It does get slow/unresponsive if there are more than 125 or so positions on a chart, so that can be frustrating.
I have a separate web cam since I work docked to a large screen setup rather than my laptop camera. It has a ring light on it.
I bought a retired tumbler for my teacher and he was delighted with the funny text on it and the firework pattern. He can also use it to drink water. I think this is a good choice.Wish him a happy life after retirement.
There are some books out there that may help you, like this one or this one.
My former job offered certification however I just did a quick google search and Groupon has a bundled deal for $35 here.
It cost me around $80 to become a public notary and the two jobs I’ve previously interviewed for were all SUPER excited that I was one although I don’t typically notarize things. It’s a thing where people have to go out and find a notary if an executive needs something done and it makes it that much easier if you are one and can do it in the office for free. Definitely would recommend this.
At each job that I’ve worked, I’ve always used Concur for expense reports. It’s a pretty straightforward process but it’s one of the biggest task that I do monthly that would be cool if you had an understanding of expense reports going into an interview with a company willing to train.
I’m not sure where you’re located but if you have any oil and gas companies or law firms you could apply to, that is where the money usually is (at least here in Texas ).
I use the desktop version of Outlook with the following apps, Doodle, Zoom, Trello and while I haven't taken a deep dive as of yet Mailbutler it appears you can automize a lot of your daily email task.
I think we're also underutilizing Teams but that's a fight for another day. it appears you can automize a lot of your daily email tasks.
Provide me with an example of a time you had to collaborate with a team to solve an issue for an executive.
As an admin professional, I am always proactively collaborating with teams to help solve issues. One recent example involved....
What strategies do you use in coordinating a meeting with many stakeholders with varying calendars?
Coordinating meetings with many stakeholders is something I enjoy because it allows me to use my organization and problem-solving skills. To get an accurate picture of availability from multiple stakeholders (with sometimes multiple timezones), I create quick Doodle polls to executives and/or their EAs that can easily be filled out. For time-sensitive meetings, it's important for me to jump on a quick phone call or send an IM to get a response as soon as possible. Working with other executive assistants and developing a relationship with them would also allow me to coordinate meetings quickly and efficiently.
Good luck!
I am biased because I'm one of the developers, but we do have a lot of EAs that use Priority Matrix to work with their executives. There's a pretty powerful Outlook extension that can be used to quickly capture incoming tasks, and you can also set up autoforward rules to send specific keywords to the system. AMA!
Reading the answers to my post, I wanted to find a similar tool that you describe, but simpler. I saw a recommendation of such tools under someone's post
One of them, as I understand it, has not launched yet, but it looks interesting.
I will share with you the link, it may be useful to you.

Have you heard something about such tool?
I tend to use Doodle Polls for scheduling with multiple people from different companies. Sometimes this is ineffective if the execs or their EAs drag their feet but you have a super easy visual on which time slots will work the best for your meeting.
I use Quire, a free task management software with great features.
They provide both the mobile app and website version, so I can sync everything quickly and easily. I can also set reminders and priorities, so I know clearly all of the deadlines.
