I keep one in my car. Zero readings so far. I tested it with carbon monoxide and it launched the number up very quickly so it is effective and works. It super small and you can keep it in the little Sync cabinet.
Edit: I know lots of people with 16’s and 17’s that have had zero issues. I’m saying this as I’m fully expecting that 4 Runner guy to jump on this post and provide a hyper dissertation on why people should buy Toyota’s.
Thanks! I found a good pair of hub centric spacers on amazon. If you run any spacer I'd suggest getting hub centric and also put a coat of anti seize on the spacers that way they don't fuse to the rotors.

You can use this to wipe your USB drive (special 'fancy' tool), then copy stuff over and try again... usually does the trick, lest it be a compatibility issue... but that's unlikely.
Search on Amazon for "back seat gap filler". There are some that inflate, some that hang from the back of the front seat backs, some that also cover the seats, etc...

Good bang for the buck. Actually close to the price of Halogen replacements. Of course they're no HID, but did them in my 15 and couldn't be happier with them. I did the replacement myself. Required dropping the back of the front/engine subframe, once that's done it is very easy to maneuver out and in.

This is the one I have. You just insert the long plastic tube into your dipstick and suck out the oil. Pretty common thing to do in the German car world.
They serve a dual purpose of retaining the battery in a rollover if the tie-down is broken, I think. Most of the ones I've messed with are routed in such a way that flipped over the cables would retain the battery and at least give you a chance of not shorting it out on the hood while upside down.

They held up well, and you can still lock the doors by touching the hand.
And after a year...there is no peeling off the plastic. It was more like desolving it and manually rubbing it off with solvents. It’s a chore.

I’ve got this one in the back of my 2017 explorer. Fits my 75 pound German shepherd no problems. It also has 2 little holes on each side of the lip at the front and I’ve got ratchet straps going to the tie down hooks so it doesn’t slide around.

It sounds like your crossbars are raised up and extend out from the rails a bit?
After I get everything installed I will try and update here with my experience.
It could be a great fix, as its not invasive and easily removed. :)

Here is the one I have and it works. It needs to have MS-CAN and HS-CAN to read all the parameters.
That picture is kind of off putting considering some of the circle is always cut off by the door. Probably a bad install but still.
I’ve seen puddle lights in Amazon where they project the Ford emblem. I personally upgraded to the Dorman LEDs and it was a tremendous upgrade.

Do you have the auto wipers? I don’t in my 2017 XLT and was able to connect to a couple of the pins on the back of the rear view mirror. Didn’t have to deal with fishing a wire down, just got one of these

It didn’t fit 100%, I don’t think the threads completely matched, though it was enough to get it on, and the foam washers make it nice and flush. Cheap and looks nicer than the 4 foot fencing sword the factory puts on.

I bought those 4 years ago so there are probably better versions of them by now
Edit: also for the head lights there are transformers with them and i had to modify the rubber caps on the lights so the cables can go through them and the transformers can hang outside the light housing. Very easy to do.

On gen 4 Explorers I thought the only tool needed to remove the headlamp assembly was a 7mm socket, I just haven't seen where you actually adjust these types of headlamps. Or if you need to.
On older Ford Rangers there was a long tool you would use to turn the adjustment screws themselves, since the adjusters themselves were in a hard to reach place. Looked like this but I make my own tool using socket and wrench and a long handled screwdriver with zip ties.

They exist, of course, but you'll have to remove the pretty bits like trim / console / control area, cut the connectors off, probably trim the original hole after removing the original outlet, then wire up and install the new one, and then reinstall all the pretty bits. I did all this on my 2014 Police Interceptor Utility, and in practice it should be the same for any non-police vehicle- noting that the ports are more often in places that can be difficult to uninstall for the non-police vehicles (inside the center console, for example).

Cuts down on accidents for hauling and doesn’t cause as much drag. You will need a rain proof bag for it though: $40 at Walmart.
If not, look at a roof top carrier. You will still need cross bars for this one, so the price goes up even further. This one has the bag with it.

Roof rails, door chrome sliver, rear trim stop, I spray canned those.
Front grille was a bastage for painting also. Ended up finding a never installed used knockoff black grille for $100, and 4k spay clear coated it 3 coats and let sit for a month. Been strong for almost a year. The plastic chrome strips on the grille, again, never duplicolor again. Those are the last things I need to re-black.

Nice feel to them. Made from TPE versus the harder plastic of the OG Weathertech liners (though Weathertech now makes front liners out of TPE - expensive as hell).
This is the one I use in my 2016. Cheap easy solution that has been stuck to the dash (left side of the screen) since I got it. There’s a magnet in my phone case so it sticks on and pulls off easily.

That's the obd2 reader I went with and the software is called Forscan. You can do a ton with the software. I only recently got it but a few things I've changed are No honk when you exit the car with it running 4 flash turn signal instead of 3 Fog lights stay on when you activate the high beams

For those wondering it was this kit off Amazon. Install wasn’t hard, just took some time. I used a pre-spaced out guide they provide you and painters tape to keep the guide in place. I put the guide exactly where it needed to go after looking at images on google. Once placed, I started sticking on the letters. Google “Ford Explorer Hood Letters Install” for some good pics with details. Overall I’m very happy and it gives the front end an awesome look!

I used FORScan to enable the settings and hooked up the correct wires in the back of the stereo but couldn't get it to work. The solution for me...a $20 Bluetooth FM transmitter. The sound quality is excellent, it's wireless, and allows voice commands from my phone.

+1 on the LED bulbs. I use a similar one from Beamtech from Amazon, no issues there. I actually replaced a set of Morimoto HIDs that were starting to flicker out and it was about the same brightness. Bonus with the LEDs- smaller footprint to install (no ballast) and instant turn-on (no waiting for warmup).
Unfortunately, at the end of the day, I don't think the projectors in these Explorers are just that good. The ones from my 335i and my NB miata just seem to out-throw the Explorer's, regardless of which bulbs I use.
My '17 EX has the 2nd row buckets and came with the Ford floor liners and the grooves in them are deep enough for the gunk I bring into the vehicle. I normally buy Weathertech's, but I'm happy with what I have.
I don't recall if the third row has floor liners or not as I don't use the third row, so it's always stowed. I didn't get a cargo liner either, but I did get myself one of these, plus I have a square milk crate that I keep in the back, and the included cargo net is good at keeping things from falling out when I open the back.
When i purchased my 2017 it didn't come with any floor mats, so after looking around at different options I decided to go with the maxliner on amazon. It covers every seating area and the cargo area very well and its only 100 more than fords version of these, but with these you get the 3rd row mats, and the cargo area too.
