speedify removes our packet loss 100%, we have 0-10% from cox to fortnite.
NOW, the problem is, the legality of it. Obviously we aren't cheating but it is a VPN.
Straight from speedify:
> Yeah, we aren't clear on Fortnite's policies. I see some places where Fortnite says it can kick you from games for using a VPN or people complaining their IP address got banned for using a VPN. On the other hand, there are a lot of Speedify users saying they are using it to play Fortnite. I haven't heard of any specific examples of people getting banned from Fortnite for using Speedify, but since Speedify is a VPN, it is a possibility. I'm not sure if the people getting banned were doing something else malicious to trigger the ban. I don't have the full story on any of those cases.
I posted on epic forums, but no responses. The last thing I want is to be banned for trying to have a better connection.
Thoughts?
in the last 3 months of fortnite, i have never once seen 0% packet loss for more than a few seconds at a time. Using the Speedify trial, I logged in to a game and saw 0% packet loss for a whole minute. Going to buy it and see how it goes. I don't know much but maybe some common servers cox uses in their hop routes suck and the vpn route avoids those servers? /u/justbilled
Razer Huntsman tournament edition is on sale for $70 right now https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07V25YPVW/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_dl_43NQTG0NPEHHDFRKM96Q
The GK61 is another option, try to get the variant with optical yellow keys. I find optical mechanical keys to be more responsive than traditional mechanical switches
Thanks for the tips :)
NOVOS has 2 apps in the Overwolf Appstore. This is NOVOS Fortnite Stats:

I have one of these and love it: Koolertron Cherry MX Black Programmable Gaming Keypad, Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with 43 Programmable Keys https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y2Y6RPP/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_6C0HDXZKP0JS6QMBECM7
exactly 49.99 dollars, hot-swap and available in black or white. If you want to spend 3 extra bucks, I recommend getting the red switches because they last longer than blues and are generally thought of as better for fortnite.
Aw no please don’t embarrass me.. I just wanted a cheapy white RGB one to match my PC 🤣🤣. I actually have no issues with it at all though but I’m going to look into a mouse with 1-2 more buttons on it. But this is it LexonElec UK Layout Gaming... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07QB75C4J?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
People are using an XIM to get aim assist on keyboard and mouse. This has always been a thing but seem to have skyrocketed recently.
I love my Mad Catz The Authentic G.L.I.D.E. 38 Gaming Surface. It’s really “fast” with little resistance when tracking and I definitely feel it improved my aim a little bit. One downside is it gets dirty very quickly so I have to clean it a lot.
We’ve used ExitLag + ExpressVPN recently to get lower ping. The lowest we can possibly go is 100ms on Middle East servers. This feels worlds better, but unfortunately it’s bannable to play with a VPN. We dont have much options
Also a USB 3.1 SSD will make a huge difference. And to your comment below, that you can't afford one, there is a Pioneer 240GB for $45 from Amazon, or a 512GB 2nd Gen USB 3.1 (faster data transfer than 1st Gen), also Amazon.
Do you have a large bandwith limit? If so I can recommend a WiFi extension for just around $20 off amazon that allows for Ethernet. I’ve been using one since I’m about 300 feet from my router and gigablast doesn’t exactly have the best range. The one I use: TP-Link AC750 WiFi Extender | Covers Up to 1200 Sq.ft and 20 Devices Up to 750Mbps| Dual Band WiFi Range Extender | WiFi Booster to Extend Range of WiFi Internet Connection (RE220) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07N1WW638/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_zdrDEbGRYQDXF
It’s $25 and is EXTREMELY worth it. It’s capable of 5G and up to 750mb/s Which is plenty for streaming/gaming/downloads etc.
I cannot remember bough if it comes with an Ethernet cable so I recommend buying one along with it if your original modem hadn’t come with one by default just in case.
The Astro C40 is the controller I want 100%, especially if the analog stick messes up you can easily just take it off and replace it compared to buying a whole new controller.
I just don't have the money for that right now, that's why I was asking about keyboard & mouse. I'd rather just buy a keyboard & mouse so I don't need to worry about a Dualshock 4 controller breaking within a month or two and I can also save up for an Astro C40.
I did find this controller on Amazon that's cheaper, but at the same time since it's cheaper it obviously won't be as good as a Sony controller so that'll just be another $30 down the drain.
In fortnight low packet loss manifests as micro starters in game. Hi packet loss manifests as larger teleports. In overwatch low packet loss is often hardly noticeable, higher packet loss manifests as rubberbanding.
Speedify vpn will eliminate up to ~10% packet loss with redundant mode enabled (sends every packet multiple times so it has a much higher chance of getting through). Also turn off jumbo MTU in speedify.
The reaction time and your eyes will likely be able to adjust. I say keep working at it and let me know how your experience goes. I’m curious to see if you can overcome the gap you face with it.
I’ll link you some mousepads that I’d personally use below
Or
One should be large, and one XXL. I use the XXL one now. My keyboard rests on a good portion of it and I have a lot of room for my mouse. The links look the same to me so it may not have pasted correctly.
On the note about gameplay, send me one game worth. I’m happy to do others in future sessions if you find them valuable (this is the format I offer for folks when I stream the gameplay reviews).
Thanks for the tip, I actually did buy this:
Futuro Energizing Wrist Support Brace: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0026RHGAM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_xBQRBbTRSPEKN
But it doesn't seem to help :( is there a different type of one you're thinking?
I used to use the G502 but the weight and the shape really threw me off and ultimately I found it wasn't very good for my hand placement. I upgraded, or rather sidegraded to the Logitech G Pro and my aim has seriously improved, the lightness of the mouse helps a ton too.
