I got the Scosche Magnetic Phone Mount for my GLI and I've only had my phone fall off of it once in the last 3 years. 10/10 purely because you just slap your phone on it and it stays. I even have a case over the magnet on my phone and it works fine.

Personally, I just used chrome tape to change the look of the front grille. I wanted double chrome strips, instead of the bottom red line. Once you take the grille off you will see how the red or chrome strips are attached, you can pop them off and tape them whatever color you want. I've had it on for two years, and it still looks awesome. Also tinted the tail lights by ordering a roll of tint off amazon. People ask me at the car meets where I ordered all this stuff from, so I take that as a hint that if you do it right, it looks super legit. There's plenty of youtube videos, but it all boils down to doing a very good job of cleaning, and cleaning, and cleaning the part again. Then using a heat gun to warm up the tape before applying. It will stay forever.

I thought about baking mine to see if I could add some RGB lights inthere but I really don't want to mess them up and have to buy new ones.

Headlights were way easier than the tail lights.

I tried something a few years ago with fair results.

Did the prep work, a bit of sanding, etc. Then got some spray paint as close as a color match as I could, taped up the rest of the wheel and painted away. Again, it worked OK and I only had a little damage. See pictures below, you can still see there's damage, but it made it a bit better. (Blame picture quality on 5 years ago me).

I used this. Little bit darker. Real cheap. You can easily do both taillights with $12 roll

I have a Note 9 and had to be particular about which cable I use to connect. Needs to be a solid connection at the phone, or AA just flips out. I believe these are the cables I'm using, but YMMV.
