I would use blue loctite on the screws. I have found the liquid version to work best. Let it cure for 24 hours.
If you have a torque wrench, set it to 10-15inch/lbs. I purchased the Wheeler torque wrench shown below. I use it all the time.
507C X2 Green Reticle: $259
509T X2 Green Reticle: $459
Get an NC Star sight pusher tool Like this one. ~$60 and worth every penny. The nut driver for the front sights come in varying quality so chose wisely. The best one is probably the Glock version which is kinda pricey but made exactly right. I have used mine countless times and loaned it to friends as well. Probably the best investment with regard to gun tools. Nearly fool proof. A gunsmith will usually charge $25 or more to install a set. So even if you use it twice, it's basically paid for itself.

They come with 5 different sizes mixed in the bag, i put some of the larger bands lower part of the grip where it’s larger, and the smaller ones on the higher part of the grip where it’s more thin.

Loctite or you can get high heat silicone O-rings. I use the o-rings on mine. As you compress the o-ring, it pushes the thread protector into the threads and keeps it from backing off.
Just get a frame mount for the optic. They slide into the frame accessory rail and let you mount an optic above the slide.
The benefit is that the slide is cut to lighten it enough that it will cycle .22, a red dot would add weight to the slide, but a frame adapter will put that weight onto the frame instead of the slide.

Obviously I'm new to this, I was looking at this and I didn't see anythign mentioning metal so I just assumed it would be plastic; do you think these TruGlos are metal? Thanks.

This thing looks fancy. I told my wife she could have her shitty iron back and I'd buy this.

I use a dremmel for bump/texture/finger groove removal.
Then sand with Emory board starting at 400 grit until I’m satisfied up to 4000 grit.
Take your time. Practice on a Glock case, pmags, a2 grips or something to get a feel
I voted for the one I use (TLR1-HL) but its been said the industry standard is the Surefire x300. The Streamlight is everyone's close second, and its a bit more friendly to the bank account. Can't go wrong with either of those. Also plenty of quality holsters on the market for a 19 (or in your case 19x) with one of those lights.
The Olight cost $0.55 less than the Streamlight. The cons of Olight outweigh anything remotely beneficial to that cost savings.

Maybe not this exact one but things like this are awesome. There’s also tons of videos on YouTube that show you how to build hidden storage behind wall mounted mirrors or furniture and all kinds of stuff. I have one of those coffee tables in my living room that the lid pops up to use like a TV tray and it can hold several guns in it
It’s fun trying out new patterns. What helped my alot was one of these circle lights. When there’s no shadows it makes a world of difference. Just general building it’s one of the best tools I have. I build a lot of 80% stuff Doesn’t have to be this specific one but something like it 10 inch Ring Light with Tripod Stand and Phone Holder (Ringlight Kit Totally 70" Tall), USB Powered Circle Light for Phone Selfie Photo, Video Recording, TikTok Streaming (10 inch) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0833VJ5FQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_BP73HYRM17NY7CYNQMHS?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
not my cup of tea (I actually prefer the bump) but I applaud your ingenuity.
One thing maybe worth considering is silicon carbine as the finishing touch. Tape off what you don't want covered, and apply a decent cover of epoxy before dusting it with spoonful's of silicon carbide. I went with 120 and its a bit rough (heavier than granulate Talon Grip) but still usable. 220 grit might be an easier surface to hold onto. Also if you do attempt it, the green paper-tape is far superior than any nylon based pinstriping tape. Scotch makes the 233+ series in a 3mm (0.118") that is ideal.
Pumpkin spice p80 lol. Nice job just going for it man. That first frame stippling can be a little nerve racking. I practiced on AR grips and mags when I started out. Trying new patterns is always fun. Something I recommend is one of those circle lights you can get off Amazon or other places for pretty cheap. Really helps when there is no shadows Here’s a link to one like I use. When you do a lot of builds it becomes one of the best tools you can have
I have one of these. It comes with the front sight tool as well.
NcSTAR VTGUTK Vism Ultimate Tool Kit- Glock, Multi https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BGB2YFS/
It was pretty easy to install with the kit. I used a digital caliper to double check that it was centered in the slide. I brought the tool kit with to the range to verify zero but it was spot on. Be sure to have loctite for the front sight and you are good to go.
Not bad, and the Glock is a fantastic platform to customize, keep it the same or change it. Only thing I would change is take the Olight off get a streamlight It's a better light,

Grip tape, here's the one I think it's the best one for this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08ST6HP4D?pd_rd_i=B08ST6HP4D&pd_rd_w=mBPvG&pf_rd_p=3c923a62-af82-47f5-a8ca-c71db2c8e60d&pd_rd_wg=4wldO&pf_rd_r=RV18XQ45RW8AQET92MCV&pd_rd_r=a83cc9a4-922d-4823-a111-1941f3f60a95
[I have these] on my g26 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M4JGDLG) (I have the suppressor height ones) and I absolutely love them.
The tritium is super bright and the white front dot really makes acquiring a good sight picture really easy.
I also have a pair of Night Fision suppressor height ones on my G17 and they are okay. I loved them until I got these Truglo ones and I don't think I'll ever go back.
Use the blank sheet. Use masking tape on your Polymer80 how want it laid out and peel it off. Lat it down on the rubber side and cut it from the sheet. Then just estimate the side cuts for the bends. A sharp razor blade works well.
But all in all very impressive for his first attempt.
You can try going over the borders with a wood carving tool. It takes some practice to get the grooves perfectly smooth with it, but since you're already 90% of the way there, just buy one and practice on other polymers then go over your current borders once you're comfortable. Overall, good job man.
I just used a simple v shaped wood working gouge to do the borders. Super easy. I checked out your frame. Looks pretty clean. You could probably use the same process to add borders if you wanted to.

Correct. I use a dremel for that as well. It’s all about the right bits. I’ve used more than a few different ones and have found the following to be the best. They eat through the polymer with a bit of pressure without melting it and they can still make it smooth when you’re getting down to the last little bit and want to be more exact with your dremel.
10pcs 0.8-3mm Titanium Coated Engraving Milling Cutter Carbide Bits, 1/8'' Shank for Dremel Rotary Tools by YEEZUGO https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GZLX45X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_y6M1FbEAEXFKA
You'll have to use a rear dovetail adapter. It's an optic mount plate that has a little dovetail that replaced the rear sight. This is a good example of one, but I'm not sure if the 42 has unique rear sight dovetail dimensions. I would email outerimpact and ask them if it's compatible. If so, you should be able mount any optic that's compatible with the adapter plate. As far as I am aware that's the only way to mount an optic to a stock Glock that's not an MOS model. I don't know how a 42 will handle all the added weight either, it may cause reliability problems.
Ameriglos and the sight pusher and Glock tool kit I also bought on Amazon.
I practiced on some AR mags, though the plastic melts a little different than an actual Glock frame. I did my g17 first and it's a little sloppy but very grippy, and then I did my g26 and I really like how that turned out and it's much less slippery now.
I bought this wood burning kit off amazon instead of a soldering iron because it came with a bunch of different tip types.
It’s these Ameriglo sights
It’s about a 1/3 lower co witness. They’re nice because they stay outta the way from the dot
Yeah, sticker. Bought on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012HUHKK8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I paid $60 for the tool when the gun shop wanted $75 to install the sights (ATG Patch and NcSTAR Heavy Duty Universal Pistol Dovetailed Rear Sight Pusher Tool (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07DMZDD6V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_O2pIFbV36GVV6) it was an easy choice. Now, if I need to do it for my other pistols, I can do so easily without having to hammer them out.
I got mine from airsoftstation.com for $15. I don't know if they have any in stock right now.
Yeah they co witness and it’s some cheap ones I got off amazon, they’re metal and only cost like $40

I just did the tops of the front guide and the rear trigger housing guide. I was afraid i'd have to do the bottoms at first but It worked out fine.
I used THIS
alright just getting an idea of what you used, I was using soldering iron first then got https://www.amazon.com/Walnut-Hollow-Versa-Temp-Temperature-Woodburning/dp/B005P1TRAS/ref=pd_lpo_21_bs_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=GRGCG1F455C6GW8D7XXJ and my stippling went from what you got there to PRO looking overnight the variable temp is the way to go. I also did alot of prep maybe too much but i used just sandpaper (120>300>600) grits to get it super smooth, then stipped with a fine or med point. Not telling you that it looks like crap I just want you to know that the wood burner can take it alot farther than the iron ever will without any more practice involved.
