I just started the process of battling my hairless a month ago after doing some research. For dermarolling, I use a 0.5mm once a week, putting a castor oil blend on after to soothe the scalp. I then wait 12 hours before applying minoxidil.

Americans:
Ignoring the pink bottle, I really liked that this product had ONLY 1000 MG of Biotin per gummy, mixed with vitamin C and vitamin E so that I don't take too much and my body freaks out.
A lot of the Biotin products are usually 5000 - 10000 mg, which is too much in concentration for me personally especially as someone prone to acne. I have heard if you have acne - it can either make it better, or make it worse lol and Biotin may not be for you BUT, I still wanted to try it except NOT in such large quantities like 10,000 MG per pill. So this was the one I found with the fewest amounts of Biotin.
I've been on this for one whole week. I have 2 gummies in one day (I like to take them every 12 hours, instead of together so that I can reduce the chances of my body freaking out in regards to my acne).
Personally, and though it's only the first week, this has reduced my daily number of hair falling out by a LOT. Like, legit, I've noticed 65% less hair fall. It's also made them smoother. I would recommend trying a Biotin product out with lower concentrations (under 2000 MG), monitor your body for acne breakouts, if there's any reactions, etc for a week. I plan to increase from 1000 MG to higher doses if all goes well!
Edit: 1000 mg per gummy. 2000 mg would be what you're getting daily if you take both. :)
Amazon Germany carries the brand:
Unfortunately, I know nothing about the price of these lol! But biotin, you can find anywhere - even at Walmart, or over the counter pharmacies across the world. ^_^ And thank you for the Helpful award! :D

That’s okay man I totally understand. I started losing mine around 22 and it was devastating for my confidence. When you start losing your hair that young it can feel like you’re being robbed of your youth.
That’s what I started experiencing as well. Try not to stress about it and just start taking some preventative measures! If it continues, worsens really quickly with whole chunks falling out, and/or can’t be explained by any common causes, be sure to get some blood work done with your doctor to rule out a medical explanation like a thyroid issue.
Here’s a consolidation of my tips. No need to do them all at once but definitely things to start keeping in mind :)
https://www.amazon.com.au/1-5mm-Derma-Roller-Microneedling-Professional/dp/B07HP2LH69
Just make sure to sterilize it with boiling water or rubbing alcohol before and after every use so you don't get an infection man! Also make sure to do it after you've washed your hair so your scalp is clear of any bad bacteria.

Ok both your grandpas and your dad have dense hair. That's good news. Your uncles were bald in their 20's don't matter much. Baldness in men happen 3/4 of the time genetically if both parents carry hair loss gene. The fact that your dad has dense hair means that he belongs to the 1/4 part that doesn't carry the hair loss gene. So, most likely your hair loss wouldn't come from genetic (unless your mom carry the hair loss gene and we don't know about that).
Yes, bad food and stress could cause hair loss. If you know that you've been eating garbage, can you improve your diet? Eat more vegetables for vitamins and minerals with the macros (carb, protein, fat). You could give your hair some boosts with vitamin such as Biotin. The complete supplement for hair could be found in these kinds of supplement (see link below)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0034KHLG4?psc=1&ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_product\_details
Have you changed your shampoo lately? Maybe your hair doesn't like the new shampoo.
Stress also plays a big role in hair loss. You should get more sleep. Prolong bad sleep would wreck your entire body, the falling hair is just the first sign. Good luck.
Here you go. Start off with a 1mm and work your way up to 1.5mm.
It looks like this. I used to need it when I was younger but I know better to not ask for it now. I don’t know why he used it. I’m obviously never going back to that guy.
It looks very similar to what I purchased. Make sure you look into what depth you want to be doing as well as the frequency a week. I’ve read that some say .6 is optimal, others say 1.25. Some say once a week, others say twice. I’m doing it once to be cautious, but may move to twice a week, spaced 3-4 days apart I purchased this:

Cheapest thing initially is to just get a dermaroller. 1.5 mm is the standard length used. It may hurt a bit but it works and will also improve your skin. Here is an example:
This video talks about the technique for use:
Sure, just like the countless doctors thought for decades that DHT would be unimportant and finasteride safe. Depending on the extender goes some system. A study shows that after a short time already 20-30% have lowered the DHT in plasma. Now think what happens after several months? You can smear bswp erstrogene on your knee and the stuff shoots through your body. Ask him for studies and post them please!

Yes, stop using chemical detergent shampoos and conditioners that strip the life out of your scalp and attempt to replace it with artificial silicones and waxes.
Clearly don't use greasy products in your hair otherwise, and unless being a dirty hippie is your thing wash it daily.
There's a ton of shampoos and conditioners out there that are clean and have healthy stuff in there for your hair and scalp without all the toxic crap. Use any good one, but this is what I use.

I use this and fin and niz every other day. Seems to be holding steady for now, no regrowth though.
I have not heard of RU and I do not dermaroll but I am looking into it now!
You can try Everything I described just know that Finasteride is the main key factor.
I personally use shampoo everyday because I work out a lot and my scalp is very greasy it all depends on your scalp. I dont think washing your scalp everyday creates problem man especially if you work out or anything make sure you shampoo 3 times a week at least.
I would recommend if you are going to try finasteride to try it now because know that mpb is a time thing the sooner you start the better.
This is the shampoo i use which i love . Is a ketocanazole shampoo which helps to makenyour hair look thicker and it feels nice.

Yeah, I know this one gets recommended Dr. Pen Ultima A6, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QC446BQ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_HRTH0K759FD7BMFS4P2W?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 or the derminator 2. I opted for a generic one that was a little cheaper. I also heard it is better to go with pens with 12 needles bc the needle density can damage hair if it's too much. Also there are roller needles that are cheaper and are reusable but I find the pen a lot easier.
I honestly just bought one off Amazon without knowing about which brand is best. So far the derma roller has been great. The only thing I heard is to stay away from the ones with 540 needles since they will keep pulling on the hair. Here's the one I bought. Take a multi vitamin pill, Use nizoral shampoo and rub this on your hair daily. While you wait for a doctor's appointment
I understand where you are coming from you are young, but it also doesnt look bad at all you have slight recession, but yes if you want to keep your hair you have to take action and go see your doctor.
I would suggest for you to start with ketoconozole shampoo. This is the one I use but is really good for your hair. Wash your scalp throughly and leave for 10-15 mins. This is the minimal you can do and it has no sides.

Ketoconazole, (Nizoral) shampoo, is known to inhibit 5AR, the enzyme which converts testosterone to DHT. It won’t be the hard hitter against hair loss, that will be more so your finasteride along with the minoxidil. But will surely help at the scalp level and definitely something you should start with when first seeing hair loss along with a good conditioner.
-there’s the link it’s marketed as an anti dandruff but the ingredient Ketoconazole helps fight against DHT conversion at the scalp level.
I’m in the same boat as you, 18 and I just noticed some thinning on my right side, most of my relatives and close family have extreme MPB and I am paranoid, but it also gives me an edge up on them because none of them knew anything about hair loss regime, so I’m starting now to hopefully keep my hair a little longer. I am going to start out slow with a Ketoconazole shampoo, specially this one: REGENEPURE, DR Shampoo Hair and Scalp Treatment, Cleanses and Supports Hair Growth, 8 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0032FSDOA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_2PRBSXHSHYRHAD54VD43?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
So I am going to start off slow and as time progresses and I notice more hair loss, I plan to take it to the next step with the other 2 out of the “big three”. But I think for the most part we will be fine, we are so young to be getting on top of this. Way ahead of the game brother

He has good advice with the fin, niz, and eating/drinking health. The oral biotin could help make hair healthier and grow faster. The biotin shampoo & collagen shampoo probably won't do much, from what I've read on here. Only the fin will truly keep your hair.
But those light caps give negligible results at best. The one you linked you have to wear it 25 minutes every 2 days and is $500 (USD). Fuck no, stay away or grab some knockoff for $30 if you really want one. There's a reason you don't see everyone on this sub wearing those. I would stick your topical rosemary and also go for peppermint oil. It works in a similar way as Minoxidil just without the side effects.
And have you tried phytoestrogens? I wanted to try that next. That’s one of the supplements I haven’t tried yet. Haha
But I‘ve also made some changes in lifestyle. Sleep & diet. That’s really important! Still trouble with sports. 😅
I hope your hair recovers soon!
Yes, lets keep our hair! Haha and I use Kirkland:https://www.amazon.com/Minoxidil-Strength-Regrowth-Kirkland-Signature/dp/B008NE0E9W/ref=sr_1_11?dchild=1&keywords=minoxidil&qid=1603906729&s=beauty&sr=1-11
Although I don't think the brand matters very much.
I used to use the topical solution for my whole head but now I only use topical solution for crown and foam for hairline b/c it makes my scalp a little dry and itchy. I'll be honest I didn't notice much difference just using minoxidil but I've seen amazing results from people who use minoxidil and a derma pen/roller so that could be the key!
Thank you for your thoughts. How does one use a derma roller? I have heard this before but I don't really understand how it works. I found one on amazon for $20
Do I put something like rogaine on the derma roller prior to rolling?
You can buy a six month supply of minoxidil for $22 dollars from amazon, so cost isn’t that bad. Getting wet/sweating are probably things to avoid, but if you put it on right when you wake up, then again before going to bed, it shouldn’t be too big of a deal. The real inconvenient part for me is that it makes it kind of difficult to style the hair that I have left.
Seems most people on this sub think ketoconazole shampoos are the way to go, but Ive read that they arent necessary unless you have certain conditions. So idk if this would be what Id go with because its so expensive. But hey if it works for this guy, thats great.

Looks like this one, the same brand but not "pro strength" seems identical but minus the keto. Thats what Im personally looking at getting. Im no expert, but I look for Saw Palmetto and Biotin, and dont think the keto is necessary. Just based on my research.
I don’t know anything about Davines. Another person posted about this product as well. I think it’s mostly sold in. stores in the UK or other overseas countries. I have never seen it in stores in the USA (well, at least not in the Houston area). I am not familiar with the supplements either. Another person mentioned this brand (you can buy from Amazon). I’m going to check it out. Best of luck to you. Go see a dermatologist for sure. Don’t tackle this alone.
And, this one.
Also, should I buy this biotin product from amazon?
I have the same problem and I’m 19. I just use hair thickening spray. I get it on amazon: lasts me a good 3 months

I have traction alopecia from my topper clips (I have androgenetic alopecia) which I move every few months to try to combat. Mine haven't really grown in but my alopecia could be a culprit there, I have read of ladies regrowing hair when they get TA spots. I would recommend seeing a dermatologist - they should be able to tell you if it is indeed traction alopecia or an issue with vitamin/hormonal deficiencies. They also make powder fills you can use to help hide in the meantime. I use this one.
