I switched to Arm & Hammer Essentials and haven't had any problems with it. I pay about $3 per stick at Wal-Mart. Here is an example on Amazon. They have several scents as well as unscented.
Don't be sorry. Everyone on this forum has been where you are now. We may not always be able to agree on "cures", diets, treatments or whether or not the Hurley stages are bunk, but we can all agree that HS sucks, and sometimes you just need to vent to people who have a chance of understanding. Many of us also suffer from social anxiety and depression. It can be a very isolating disease.
I've been dealing with HS longer than you've been alive. You learn coping strategies. What you can do when, what clothes are dark and loose enough to hide leakage. I know highschool can be rough, but you'll also find often in real life people accept you for who you are if you give them the chance to. The important thing right now though is to hang on and try to take care of yourself.
Another thing to consider is that HS is trending right now. There's a lot of awareness being raised on main stream media outlets, from the Huffpost article the other day, to Jackson Gilies using American Idol to spread awareness (his TedTalk is worth a watch, linked in the article). There's new research coming out weekly, and studies constantly recruiting people. There is hope.
I know you feel you ranted and rambled, but that's okay. It's good to talk. To the point where right below you right now on this sub is a post by u/Owls1978 offering an ear for anyone who just needs a friend. Take advantage.
HS really sucks, and I’m currently feeling that same pain as I’ve had to nurse a wound for the last two weeks or so, but it does get better!
Try not to stress too much as that tends to make flares worse. With the right diet (where a lot of people have suggested cutting out carbs, sugar, and dairy), flares may come about less frequently or not at all.
Also for hair removal, I’ve always had a good experience with this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07M67FHP4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_Z96FVXMMGFRJXV1F944V
I’m Portuguese so I have thick, dark hair and this shaves it down to a minimum where it’s appears as though no hair ever grew there.
Just know there are incremental changes you can make each day to help you with this condition and we’re all in this with you. Try to destress, whether it’s putting on a funny show or movie to watch, using a face mask (if that doesn’t irritate your skin), and lighting a candle..try to do something for you tonight!
Several HS groups have banned that book or mention of it because, as mentioned earlier, it's not scientific and is written by someone with zero medical background. It helps some, but beware what you're reading.
As an alternate, this book was written by an MD whose specialty is HS. Maybe start here instead.

Coconut oil can be more clogging to me! I’d recommend jojoba, bio oil, burts bees!
This is what I use!

I feel the same way, and I found this suit from Amazon. I love it so much I bought a second one and I’m pregnant now and found a maternity version. It hides my under arms and makes me feel much more comfortable, plus it’s very cute! off shoulder swimsuit
I use these and they’re super helpful. Not bras but they line up under the breast, are super comfortable, and keep the area dry and clean. Plus if I have an active flare up (I no longer do in that area), I’ll band aid it up.
Antibacterial Bamboo & Cotton Bra Liner (3-pk) No irritation, rash guard https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01K1X7CME/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_R8FhFbX8588FH
I read an article recently that mentioned Hypafix gauze tape. One of my worst flairs right now is on the inside of my thigh. I used that tape to hold a few gauze pads there while at work the other day and it held like a dream!
Haha they are like mid thigh but not super loose because I find those give me wedgies 😂
Similar to these https://www.amazon.com/Fruit-Loom-CoolZone-Boxer-Briefs/dp/B07PLD51GB/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=boxers&qid=1629434806&sr=8-5
My thighs are chunky so anything too loose just rolls up and isn't comfortable!
I got mine from Amazon! I’ll attach the link below.
NuDerma Portable Handheld High Frequency Skin Therapy Wand Machine w/Neon – Anti-Aging - Skin Tightening - Wrinkle Reducing - Dark Circles – Blemish Control - Hair & Scalp Stimulator https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06W5PD1KY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_BRMAETB36KFTMJNGVRQ9
These have worked well for me. I've found that long boxers that go further down the thigh stopped any chaffing in sensitive areas. Definitely had less flare up due to chaffing since wearing this brand.
They look like they have the sizes you want.
The one I have does not feel or sound like plastic. I know that noise/feeling that you're talking about and I can understand not wanting to have that on your bed. This is the mattress protector that I currently have on my bed. I did so much research comparing them all until I finally just broke down and bought one because it seems like they all have some bad reviews. Anyway, I have HS and I also have a senior dog so occasionally there are mishaps from one of us! I don't really even notice this being on the bed. I have had one from walmart (I don't remember the brand) and also found it to be good. I think as long as you avoid any vinyl ones you should be good as far as not feeling that horrible crinkly awfulness.
I used the wrong spelling in my title. Here is an amazon link to show you what I’m talking about. Good luck!
NOXZEMA Deep Cleansing Cream 12 Ounce, 2 Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E4MNQ24/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_YU8aFb2DHKX9T
I think someone may have recommended this before but I love this stuff. I find it very soothing and helps me with pain from inflammation.

I also have PCOS and Hs. Since I started treatment for the PCOS I’ve noticed the Hs flares are less often. Some of the treatments overlap- birth control, spironolactone, weight loss (trust me I know how hard it is to lose weight with PCOS). I would check up on the PCOS and also try to see a derm since most primary providers don’t know much about it.
Have you seen in other posts how to treat cysts? There’s a lot of different methods and takes trial and error to see what works for you. For under the breast flares I like using a bra liner so my skin doesn’t rub together.
The OxyClean Max Force Stain Stick takes everything out of clothes, including washed- and dried-in stains! I highly recommend it!
I use gauze tape to tape a little folded gauze to my wounds. They don't ooze as much as they used to & I always seemed to have a minor/stage I or level I...whatever it's called. I tried band-aids at the beginning, but they don't stick that well.
After trying about 4 or 5 brands of gauze tape, the 3M™ Kind Removal Silicone Tape that looks like this seems to work the best currently for me regarding leaving residue & sticking well:

I’m an astrophysicist. A big part of astrophysics involves studying different types of light produced by different types of gasses. Light is also known as electromagnetic radiation.
Everything I’m reading about how these devices supposedly work is technobabble with zero scientific credibility. Some of the specific claims I’m reading that are wrong: * High frequency is NOT the same as thermal energy. * Argon gas does NOT create oxygen — especially not if the argon is enclosed in glass. * These devices are NOT the same as laser treatments. * Light is NOT the same as currents in the skin.
These devices are the same as toy plasma balls (e.g., https://www.amazon.com/Theefun-Sensitive-Novelty-Decorations-Bedroom/dp/B07RMV23DZ). Similar devices have been used for a hundred years or so (e.g., https://www.researchgate.net/publication/279456881_On_the_history_of_plasma_treatment_and_comparison_of_microbiostatic_efficacy_of_a_historical_high-frequency_plasma_device_with_two_modern_devices/figures?lo=1), and they were no more effective then than now.
That said though, the placebo effect can help a lot, especially when it comes to something that is often triggered by stress. If you have the money to spare to experiment with this as stress relief, then all you’re losing is money and time. But if you’re short on money, I’d suggest spending it on proven methods of reducing HS.
This swim set has boy shorts. They are styled more like typical shorts instead of underwear-style.
It’s a body wash that also helps kill fungus and bacteria. I buy it off of Amazon but my dermatologist also recommended it and it’s done wonders for my breakouts. https://www.amazon.com/CLn-SportWash-Infections-Rashes-Ingrown/dp/B08KTR4C3V/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=cln+sport+wash&qid=1624128246&sprefix=cln+&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=A9SKRM3SBRUW5&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbG...
Definitely bigger is better. You can always cut them to size if you need. I just buy either the bandaid brand large size or just search hydrocolloid on Amazon and a lot will come up.
I have used these before and like them although they are a tad thick
I use these! They don't suck the gunk out with every spot (depending on how close it is to the surface/if it's come to a head/etc) Even on the spots they don't empty, they do a good job of keeping the clean and stopping me from having the urge to squeeze them. They usually stick extremely well and can hurt a little on removal, but they're something I keep around for when I need one!
Looks like one I had in the summer. Not sure if I have HS, but my GP thinks so and I'm waiting to see a dermatologist. Many sympathies it looks like it hurts like hell
I used this stuff https://www.amazon.co.uk/Care-Magnesium-Sulphate-Paste-50g/dp/B002R6UPKU and that made it drain. I also got some antibiotics, which helped
I usually use porous material tape kind of like this. Along with a woven type bandage. The only thing that doesn't irritate my spots further. Paper tape and bandaids are my worst enemy lmao.
Ah, I’ve never used Aspercreme—I didn’t realize it has lidocaine. This is the kind I use. I used to use it before giving myself weekly IM injections.

for a few $ more you can get a tub of drawing salve that should last a lifetime. i've had success with it drawing out stuff closer to the surface under my arms but not much luck with it drawing out the deep ones.
I would check out the following amazon page. It’s for the product and read the review with the photos of the guys progress with the products over 10 days.
Basically I had an open sore that I noticed right as I was getting into the shower. Once I got out, I applied the product immediately (this is important for its efficacy). Then reapplied it in the morning and night. Within 48 hours, a sore that typically takes a week or more to close and would be constantly draining for me, had healed. I would even say with less scaring than normal...? I know the company does also offer some sort of scaring product to help with scars but I haven’t tried it. Funnily enough I actually met the owner of this company, and he did a full demo of this product at that expo I went to. He full on sprayed this in his eyes to show how gentle the product is and it does not sting or anything on application. But I stress that the main factor in this product working is applying it as soon as you see the wound is open.
If you’re worried about the ingredients I have used this Amish Origins Draw Salve–2 oz, Authentic Amish Formula,Natural Powerful Salve, Provides Relief from Topical Pain and Irritations, Splinters, Sores, Bee Stings,Foreign Objects Embedded in The Skin. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RCDRNIA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_twjJFb301S6J0. It’s all natural ingredients and it works for me on one that are painful or seem like they are going to pop soon. Just a little put with a bandage on top
If I don’t use bandages when I have flairs, my clothes rub them and make it so much worse. I try to sleep naked at night to let them breathe. I didn’t know what to use until recently I started washing with this soap everyday. My flair ups cleared up really fast! Also sitting in warm baths help ease the pain. & keep using your ointments after you shower. My dermatologist gave me a mupirocin ointment that helps when my flair ups are really bad.
I get these exact same kind in my armpit! Once they empty out like that I put one of these on there and leave it on until it either falls off or it's full (they swell and turn white with drainage/healing). It's the only thing that brings me some comfort during the raw healing phase!
So sorry, but you know you can buy those stick-on underarm shirt shields, right? I'd stick maybe 2 of them on the inside of my shirts to have more coverage. Here's some of many off Amazon & they sell them in black too:
I'd go ahead & tick them on ALL my shirts ahead of time so no matter which top you pick to wear to work, you're already set to go!
i usually cover with a non-stick gauze and apply magic salve by my magic healer! (https://www.amazon.com/Propolis-Traditional-Irritated-Alleviating-Regenerating/dp/B08XYCBSC6) it helps me a lot and i’ve been using it for a year now (currently on my 3rd jar). i do use the hydrocolloid bandaids whenever i have a open wound and need extra protection when wearing tight clothing/ also when i shower or go swimming.
I use cotton bra liners (specifically these). You can wear them with any bra then throw them in the wash. Other than that I just wear sports bras, as long as my boobs don’t hurt I don’t really care what type of bra I wear.
Yes, hibiclens is just in the over the counter area of pharmacies. I’m so sorry. Can you get Panoxyl (with 10% benzoyl peroxide) for acne bacteria and Defense antifungal soap? I just tried using both Panoxyl and Defense during yesterday’s shower, before I had purchased Hibiclens. Panoxyl has been a godsend for acne on my face, but I’d never thought to use it for HS before.
Thanks for replying. I'll plan to buy it soon because I don't know about Hibiclens although I haven't used it consistently enough yet to see.
You get this specifically, right?
Thanks! Do you use this zinc ream by any chance & if not, which one? https://www.amazon.com/Margarite-Zinc-Cream-1-oz/dp/B0001TQ5MW/ref=asc_df_B0001TQ5MW/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309750225098&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6723226395327776816&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9031217&hvtargid=pla-560788492939&psc=1
I've been trying that Silver Biotics Solution - Colloidal Silver Gel & so far, not seeing any improvement.
Also used manuka honey gel for a good 2.5 yrs pretty consistently & it seemed to work at first, but them seemed like the body got immuned to it & no longer works.
Ugh, hate these ones.
OK, what you have there, is and open HS where the pressure of your breast is pushing good healthy tissue out of the hole. Its going to take a while to heal.
What I would suggest is to clean it with Dakin's solution (quarter strength) two times a day. Then cover it (just the opening part) with some collagen matrix that is silver infused. I use this, was recommended by a wound specialist:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002P6PPU2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s01
Then cover that with some type of bandage so the collagen won't fall out.
Keep doing that until you have new skin!
I had wide excision surgery a couple of months ago (limited area) on the bikini line. The surgeon made two incisions, a big one, and a small one. The small one was just one or two sutures, and it reopened a day or two after surgery. It looked just like yours and the surgeon decided to let it heal like that. It doesn't seem to progress much at first, because it heals from the bottom up. Give it time, and care, and you should be good in a week or two. Mine took about two weeks to close (it was showing some signs of infection during the first few days after I removed the steri-strips and realized it was open). Yours looks super clean, so it is healing, even if you can't see it.
As far as wound care, I didn't use vaseline. Just hibiclens, and a new dressing every day. I also used hypafix gentle touch and gauze at first. Make sure you use non-stick gauze. After a while, I added some silicon wound contact layer because even the hypafix was starting to irritate me (I had been bandaging the area for two months at the time). It seemed to help the wound. Then I switched to those silicon foam dressings because they were a lot easier to use and did stay in place without sticking to the wound at all - and also protected it from my clothes and underwear seams rubbing against it. Maybe try those?
My small wound was just next to the start of the labia area, but still on the groin area, if that makes sense. The big one is about an inch to the left, towards my thigh. But that one was closed after surgery and did not reopen.

I totally feel your pain. I just had a bad one under my breast and it's just stopped bleeding.
awesome! I think I'll wait to get it after the Peroxide soap comes in. I dont want go overboard and then regret it! But it shall be in my cart! Thank you so much by the way. I've been spiraling for the past hour about my HS, it gives me really bad panic and anxiety attacks, and ordering the soap and looking at the gel has given me some hope for myself. Thank you, you have helped me. Ive had it for about 5 years now, but have just now been diagnosed with it. Thank You!
First off, congratulations on your marriage! I really hope you can get some relief and enjoy the day. You’ve got a lot of good advice, so I’m going to focus on concealment.
Could it be an option to dress the spots strategically with gauze, then cover with pasties? Like, the ones for you nipples, haha - https://www.amazon.com/Nipple-Breast-Pasties-Adhesive-Disposable/dp/B072WQLT25
Or maybe body tape would work better? Just gotta be careful with how you place the tape - https://www.amazon.com/Boob-Tape-Boobytape-Breast-Lift/dp/B0BB7T7C2P
The intimacy part is a little tougher for sure. My best advice is to be honest and open about it. Once I explained it to my then-bf, now husband, things got a lot better. He’s incredibly supportive and we just work around it. If anything, it just adds more variety!

And if it's still not working here's a different one
Do not use toliet paper in between your cheeks, this will clog the areas and create issues. I highly recommend Bandaid Cushion Care 4x4.

I get them in my groin soooo bad! I switched to a electric shaver helps sooooo much. this is the one I use
My wife uses the ones below and they made a big difference. They are a bit on the large size, but there are probably similar ones out there that work the same.
I forgot i use it along with this
I do it works well along with the menuka honey wound gel
It works amazing! link
I love this stuff! link for people's
I've been dealing with two neck flare ups for a year. They're on the nape so I completely understand what you mean. Im still trying to find out ways to handle them. If they are inflamed and red, I would get Boil Ease. It helped me ALOT with pain and inflammation. Before applying, I would ice the flare up first and let it warm back up. If the flare up as a head appearing and needs help Drainin', PRID drawing salve works wonders.
But in the end, when you can, I would go ahead and see a dermatologist about them. I know for the ones on the nape of my neck may need surgery but I still need to make an appointment with a derm as well. A dermatologist hopefully can help you stop spread to your face, but i Hope the ointments I listed can help just a bit!
Best wishes to you my friend!
So I have a weird update on this. Even with my magic oil (lol) I was still getting a boil every couple of months. Not super bad, but still required a bandage and care. I did a ton of research and came across a substance called ophytrium that has been shown to strengthen the skin's natural barrier. The only catch is that so far it can only be found in the product which the company patented it for which is a DOG SHAMPOO!
Well I took the plunge and I bought it and used it as directed, I first wash the area with normal soap then apply the dog shampoo and let it sit while I wash my hair etc (about 5 mins total) and then rinse. This has been the game changer for me, since I started using the doggo shampoo I have been 100% breakout free. I do still apply my oil post-shower just for the hydration and vitamin E (can't hurt might help). The link to the shampoo is below.

I'm not sure if it helps or not, but I've been using "Chamois Butt'r" Her'" https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D535IAG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Unless a person sits in a nicely cold room 24/7, they're going to sweat, it's inevitable. I hate sweating too, but you'd think sweating would help HS since sweating is another type of release of toxins from the body just like urinating or doing the #2. Can you wear one of these (below) around your neck while working? Can you get yourself a desk fan that's pointed right at you all day?
https://www.amazon.com/Hands-Free-Portable-Neck-Fan/dp/B07S737P48
Thanks for replying! I'd be willing to try them, but don't they roll down when you start walking?
How about this, have you seem these?
Or this:
I use the 16Oz clear bottle, and got this pump to go with it. Guessing any foaming pump that fits the bottle's opening would work.
Hey! I use diaper rash cream as a topical sometimes. It helps a lot with pain, and I’m sure it helps with healing a little bit as well, but oral zinc supplements does so, so much more for me. They can be a little pricy but it’s very much worth it in my opinion. I use these and they work wonders, honestly. It’s at least worth a shot.
I put a hot compress on them so they burst. I use a damp wash cloths heated as hot as you can stand it. I use a mini crock pot like this, rotating one on the boil and one in the crockpot until it bursts. Every so often, when you switch out the compress, wipe over the boil and it will burst on its own.
If it is so large that it leaves a hole you may neeed to pack the open wound with antibiotics and gauze when they burst. Otherwise, the wound may heal over on top and the infection will remain deep down in the wound and and just start to swell all over again. I was taught to use a q-tip to put some antibiotic in the wound then coil some gauze and push it in the wound, leaving a tail of gauze so it can drain. It will slowly get smaller and take less gauze until I can just cover it with a bandaid and let it heal.
I have been looking into laser but haven’t done it yet. If you are looking for something a bit cheaper for now I recently switched from shaving regularly to using an electric shaver on my under arms and nethers (I have no HS related issues when shaving my legs) and I’m pleased with the results.
It works well for my underarms and lady patch- actually great on my underarms which have extensive scarring that tends to get nicked with a razor and is less irritating than a razor shave. I didn’t even realize how irritated my pits got when I shaved until I started using it, Vast improvement there. The wet/dry option is what I went for and it’s nice because you can do a quick dry shave on pits or legs if your pressed for time but still use it in the shower if you want.
It is a $20 wet/dry shaver I found on Amazon so it is pretty cheap vs laser if you’re looking for something in the meantime. It does leave stubble on the lady bits - I seem to have a harder time getting the angle right there vs my underarms- so I will do a razor shave every few weeks (I used to do it a couple times a week).
As many others have mentioned (I’ve been dealing with it for about 20 years) keeping the area as dry and ‘breathable’ as possible is a big help. I only wear actual underwear outside of the house (unless I’m on my period) when at home I try to stick to loose fitting cotton pants or shorts.
I use hibiclense when showering and at night between showers (usually shower every other day unless I get super sweaty). I do still have flare ups and usually treat those with hot compress or heating pad and I will wipe a cotton ball with peroxide over the area after showering/washing which seems to help with drainage and healing but I wouldn’t recommend if you get anything on the actual lady bits.
I have stopped shaving my pits and pubic area with a razor - I got this shaver from Amazon and it has worked great. I had noticeably less irritation with it vs razors.
I don’t think anyone knows why this happens. My mom and cousin have had occasional issues but not nearly as bad as myself (I am T1 diabetic and they are not which may have something to do with it).
Because of my diabetes I take daily Vitamin D and an immunity supplement to help with general immunity and I take a hair, skin and nails (heavy on Biotin) supplement which I read about at some point when researching HS. They certainly seem help but do not cure the issue.
I don’t know if these are available where you are but these are the crutches we’re given in Ireland. Still a pain but would definitely help compared to the armpit ones. I hope all goes well with your surgery OP
Medipore surgical tape works for me
I use baby oil to take it off the tape. And residue removal to get off any adhesive left when the tape is off. I have sensitive skin so the paper tape and plastic tape is uncomfortable and irritating.
I also get it from my doctors office. So if your doctor and nurse is really chill they may let you take some home.
i currently used the peppermint one from dr bonners but i dialute it.
you can find the magic salve on amazon!! it’s pricy on amazon but shipping is much faster!
mymagicsalve is the instagram account for it.
Care Magnesium Sulphate Paste 50g
It's Amazon UK, same as the dressing below

The small tub of paste has lasted me well over a year and still got 1/2 left, the vapor rub is very good for bringing these things to the surface imo.

I personally like this one because it's big enough to set on my stomach and prop up for my underarms. It doesn't get too warm. You'll just want to put a sheet over it when using on underarms to block the light. It's pretty bright!

>Medical peel spray. To take off dressing. Spraying this will melt the adhesives and make peeling a lot easier. Always handy to have around. You don't necessarily need it, after a while the skin gets used to peeling off.
Do you have any recommendations for brands? I never heard of these before but it sounds like a great idea. Removing adhesive bandages (I use these) has always been really unpleasant because of the size and sensitive area of my HS.
I had this problem a lot!! I hate wearing bras anyway but sometimes I feel that I need to give them that lift just to let them air a bit and stop the skin rubbing together. I got these bralettes from Amazon as everyone reccommends natural fabrics like cotton and they feel great. I'm a 40H and got the biggest size which is a little tight but I'm definitely a bit bigger everywhere else too so it's no surprise. Otherwise, just making sure I'm super clean there before bed and in the morning, using antibacterial washes etc. I still struggle most in this area though compared to others, it's really getting me down :(
Sure, it’s The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane The Ordinary 1% Retinol in Squalane
Can I ask what the probiotic is?
I used this one after my last round of anti-biotics for an HS infection: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LVYJK6U/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
These are the ones I like.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PD1MXVM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_460963JWV3HEPDF23F7M?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 I’ve found these underwear from Amazon are pretty holy grail, they have the right cut to really cover/cushion big friction points for walking. Plus the cut helps make sure there’s less skin to skin contact in the worst areas down there.
I had a lot of scarring on my legs from bites and I used this religiously and they were gone within six months. I need to start doing it again because mosquitos love me and I like to scratch lol

I'm quite meticulous with the small details of life.
I have a master of science degree. That's not some crazy accomplishment, because there's lots of people out there with similar masters degrees or even higher educational achievements.
I am 100% certain that what I take is mono L-methionine Zinc, aka chelated Zinc, aka Optizinc (that's the trademarked name for one version of mono L-methionine zinc).
You can check the bottle if you want. Have a fun time with it.
Jarrow Formulas Zinc Balance 15 mg, Immune Support, Includes Copper, White, 100 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0001VKDDM/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_2VKKT5QX28473KVYZWNV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
It includes 1mg copper per capsule, hence the name "Zinc balance" on the bottle.
This shit FULLY SUPPRESSES ALLLLL of my HS symptoms.
If you want feminine underwear, Fruit of the Loom has a line of panties that are "breathable mesh" and the seams are all covered in a soft and stretchy material. They're my go-to underwear and thankfully they're cheap ($12 for a pack of 6 pairs).
https://www.amazon.com/Fruit-Loom-Underwear-Breathable-Pack-Plus/dp/B07MCMQP3H
If you're a dude or want gender neutral underwear, I've heard very good things about TomboyX underwear being soft and comfy. They're commonly recommended for people with sensory issues and I've found that sensory-friendly clothing often works well for folks with HS.

Yes! If you’re open wounds are around the size of a US Quarter, these are the ones I usually get. (20ct for ~$9.50USD)
These things are like little miracle vacuums! They also help your wounds scab up so they stop leaking. Best advice for using these: Let the bandaid stay until it if falls off, they can stick for up to a week. But usually with a groin area one, it will stay for about 1-3 days (cause walking, friction, sweating, etc). They also work super well for larger white head face acne.
If you don't have a sock that works or are interested in alternatives, you can find some options if you search for "underwire bra liner." They can be used to help distribute the pressure more, wick sweat, and hopefully add some cushioning.
I use these

Cheaper than mepilex
I Cut them in half for my areas. They are expensive but totally worth it
Buy these: Molasus Womens Anti Chafing Cotton Boy Shorts Bike Shorts Long Leg Underwear Multipack https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08JV3P1M6/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_N8PDAMM8W1XJZ7V9X9ZW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 These are the best underwear I have had yet, they don't ride up and aren't as expensive as Woxers.
I go pants and shirt free a lot at home alone just to keep everything dry. 😬 I wear boxer briefs a lot. I usually wear wind pants? like this or I think they are called track pants or something and of course thicker sweat pants even over that when its cold. But not those exact ones on amazon. Just something like that. The ones I got were at wallmart. I need to get some new ones actually.
I never wear jeans any more. Too rough of a material! I can wear a suit for time like at a funeral but I prefer to avoid belts due to my HS history so I don't normally dress like that. So I kind of look like lazy or something in sweats and tee shirts all the time when I go out.
I know, right?!? I've been dealing with HS for 23 years now and NOTHING helps. But I'm reading this http://www.barnesandnoble.com/mobile/w/the-hidden-plague-tara-grant/1116828567?&allFormats=true I'm enjoying it so far. Basically it says if you give Paleo a shoot it will send you into remission for good. I
I use an electric trimmer the day before as close as I can get. this is the one I use bc it was cheap:

Thank you. I saw in on Amazon. I try my best to use as many all-natural items as possible. Have you ever tried this one by any chance?
I'll put epsom-soaked (& wrung-out) towlels in the area as often as I can too! I'm not using regular, old epsom salt this time. This time, I got Dead Sead salt flakes, which should work better...I hope! I got this I'm trying for the vey 1st time:
Yeah had a few, was sent home from work one day by a manager in an open office who cracked jokes about the carnage my boil was going to make in the office once it “went off”. It was on the back of my neck.
Once it’s inflamed, if it’s small high dose short term antibiotics may help it go down. Try to keep stress to a minimum and get your sleep. Otherwise your options are bursting it, draw it with Vicks (like you said), warm compress or magnesium sulphate paste (works like Vicks without the smell)
If you want to cover it I use the Mepilex dressings with safetec technology.
These are expensive but if in the U.K. ask your Doctor. The whole back surface is a type of gum that make it stick anyway but easy to peel (no impromptu waxing) and leaves no residue.
Maybe look at wearing shorter collars or softer material. I stopped getting them on my neck when I started wearing polo shirts instead.
found this i haven’t tried it yet but has everything that helps just saying for anyone Revitale Advanced Salicylic Acid & Sulphur Scrub Treatment Soap
All Health Extreme Hydrocolloid Gel Blister Cushion Bandages, 1.65 in x 2.67 in, 10 ct | Long Lasting Protection Against Rubbing and Friction for Blisters https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D19ZNWZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_V4F9R1BY8D5TFMSJXK54
These are amazing. I ordered some from Amazon last night. They are thicker than the stores, I got band aid brand last night and they work in a pinch, but I have 4 open areas on my ass and they REALLY help with the pain. I also apply tallow around that - you can buy food grade tallow same on Amazon to help keep my skin hydrated and less dry. I rub the tallow between them as well to help with extra friction. I add tea tree to it.
Get you some thick hydro colloidal bandages I found mine on Amazon and they can over night delivery at least for me. I covered it with tea tree oil and tallow - helps to heal them quickly for me at least . Good luck .

I recently started using this and I’ve found there to be improvements already! I had a flare about 3 days ago and it doesn’t hurt at all and the swelling has gone down. I used to use dove sensitive skin though and it didn’t bother me at all.
