I use one PSU to power MoBo and as many GPU/riser combos as I can (80% rule etc). Daisy chain a second PSU with this and run the remaining GPU/riser combos.

To answer your question. Swapping hard drives doesn’t hurt your computer and/or damage hardware. If it works, great. If not, reinstall a clean hiveos.
And then start planning your next rig using this old mobo. Why are you wasting $$$$ on new hardware? You have to ROI these parts and that takes time & $$$$.
